The lookout with new skywalk provided wonderful views of the town and the beautiful countryside. The commentary was very good. The standing stones were very interesting and the explanations were fabulous. The crofters house, new toilet block and garden area were fabulous. Glen Innes has a beautiful country town feeling. It is easy to get around and there is lovely cafes, a health food shop and shopping opportunities ... The surroundings are lovely with lots of parks, fitness options as well as the annual gem show and the famous 'Standing Stones' a powerful Celtic healing ground with an annual Celtic festival in May.Guest review bySabineAustralia - 8.0

Quaint little country town with plenty of character.
Quaint little country town with plenty of character. We arrived late unfortunately and ordered take away at the local pizza/ kebab shop. Fresh and delicious but stay away from the BBQ sauce. It is sweet and makes it too much to finish the meal. I had a falafel kebab, which was delicious! Breakfast was at "The Local" which had great coffee, eggs benedict, granola and breaky burger. The locals are always up for a chat. Very friendly, just sadly we did not have enough time to explore further.Guest review bySallieAustralia - 10.0

I always enjoy my visits to Glen Innes with the climate and feel of the town with its architecture and old world housing, cobbled streets, and very friendly locals. Local bakeries, cafes and restaurants including the RSM are always welcoming with great food and coffee plus conversation with insights and tips on where and what to do from the locals.Guest review byRonaldAustralia

Even though situated right on the busy New England Highway the room was very quiet. It was pouring with rain when we arrived but there was plenty of shelter outside the unit so as not to get wet unloading the car. The bed was really comfortable. Even though breakfast was included in the price we left before it was available.
