The Crossley Hotel

Lovely little boutique hotel which was very comfortable - really nice rooms. A bit disappointing that breakfast was only Continental - it was $6 extra for cooked. I don't think that was made clear. However, I had a great meal in the small restaurant one evening and some drinks and banter with the staff in the bar. I would definitely book this hotel again when in Melbourne. Melbourne is one of those places where there is no one centre so The Crossley is in a good position for bars, restaurants and theatres etc., plus the free tourist tram stop is near as well - well worth jumping on to either do the whole tour or to get to various places in town.

Helpful staff, very good with any questions and requests, friendly and polite. Free wifi was a bonus.

It might be time to replace the toaster, though it is a good talking point with the friendly waiters.

This was our second stay as we had been quite happy with it before. The hotel is relatively small and friendly, clean and comfortable. It is in a fairly quiet location, well placed for shopping and sightseeing, with easy access to public transport.

The restaurant is cramped, although the standard of provision at breakfast is good. The noise of the sliding entrance doors was intrusive to our first floor room.

I loved the shower. The hand held shower head was super. Plenty of hot water.

I didn't like having to shower in the bath. I would prefer a shower stall.

Although the room was small-ish it was all we needed and very clean. Lovely staff and fantastic location as well as a great price.

The Crossley hotel is in a good location for accessing the city circle free tram and easy to get to all interesting areas of Melbourne. The hotel has free wireless internet and a good continental breakfast. We had a lovely spacious room.

Only downside was that when the hotel is full there is very little room in the breakfast area.

The fact that it is a smaller hotel with efficient and friendly staff, and the room had a lovely cosy feel about it.

The airconditioning worked but left us with sore eyes and stuffy nose, maybe filters need cleaning.

Excellent staff. Room was lovely, clean, quiet, comfortable, welcoming. I was made to feel immediately at home, staff arranged an early book in for me and I was delighted with the overall comfort and ambience of the room. Location of hotel is quiet yet still central to so many good restaurants and entertainment facilities etc. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate and most helpful to be included in the room rate.

It is a compact, neat hotel in a fantastic location. The staff are young but courteous and friendly and it has a nice little bar for afters!

The breakfast area is very crowded and poorly laid out.
