The Pinctada Kimberley Grande  

Location, decor and size of room plus the actual hotel facilities - king bed was fabulous.The staff were friendly and kind. I came to Kununurra to visit my daughter and she stayed with me in my King Room Suite.

A few items in the room did not work / lamp, lock poolside and was unsure how to get wireless net and would it cost me extra. No wine glass or cutlery in the room.

the restaurant was closed for a private function an I was not told on time of booking. the wifi did not work and is expensive. there was a wedding and it was very noisy all night. the pool was dirty, the pool furniture were dirty. on check out I had to wait for the reception staff to finish her B'fast. I was not ask how my stay was, but was asked if the CC (Amex) i used was eftpos....

Appalling restaurant service no understanding of menu or what was on offer. very ordinary room for price

Visiting family, very convenient for the town, lovely rooms, excellent staff, always happy to help. Lovely swimming pool.

Excellent location in Kununurra and the facilities all excellent.

The room was grand with king size bed and spa and tastefully decorated and very large. We went for a romantic weekend for which the room served its purpose.= Beautifully. But the only good thing about the Kimberley Greande was the room.

The pool was hot. For tropical weather you want a cool swim. The restaurant was closed so a pub counter meal wasnt great for romance. No cooked breakfast option and upon check out we were asked to pay again. We had paid for the room on booking. Countless phone calls after badgering for payment again and only to be told later it had been paid for. Would not stay there again.

Our plane landed half an hour early but the transfer provided by the hotel was waiting for us. They monitor the flight arrivals and respond appropriately. The staff were especially helpful and friendly. Luggage was stored while we had an adventure safari further afield. Like all of the Kimberley region, Kununurra is expensive.

Wc in 621 dripped all night.

Well located in Kununurra with most facilities including a well equipped laundromat. The room was very large (however see the things I didn't like) and well equipped. Kingsize bed and cowhide rugs. Spa in room was a welcome luxury after several weeks driving on rough roads.

The room was described as a suite, but was in fact one very large room with bed, lounge, tv, business desk and spa all in the same room. (I would define a suite as having completely separate areas with doors between). The bathroom design was probably an attempts at being "sexy" but really didn't work for us.

Comfort was good, staff were excellent unfortunately internet was down, however staff advised me prior to my purchasing time.

Great location, easy to find.......HUGE Rooms!!! Love the big rooms, clean, lovedd the decor of our rooms and the look of the whole place and pub's look and menu......peaceful and quiet! Our stay was very good (not excellent) but really good and we will stay again or recommend it to people since we are based in Halls Creek for work for the next 4 years..... And we know lots of people flying in and out of knx!

The driveway was a bit weird..... Or, the outside reception parking area got a bit clogged because the staff or hotel shuttle or catering/vendor truck or wilderness adventure buses or caravan used it as a parking lot and we got stuck in and could not get to our room/parking space and had to wait a couple times since the driver left their vehicle.....but the rest was just fine!

Nice big rooms and excellent bar and food service.

Thier were no robes to wear after shower.

Very relaxing, great staff, great restaurant (magnificent steak).

TV reception was poor, floors need covering as concrete is cracked and the garden needs watering.

I didnt like the Internet rates . $15 for 24hrs and $8 for a few minutes. I feel the internet should be free. However, it should be cheaper and balanced. Better still make it an hourly rate.

It was close to the airport. Easy parking right outside your front door. Reastaurant/ Bar served excellent food for Dinner, we sat outside in the garden area which was very pleasant. We would definately stay again.

Comfortable bed Proximity to pool Parking

Pool - No shade. No drinks or food!! Room- No decent seating. No where to sit and relax. Fridge too small and poor area to make a coffee or have a drink. No wine glasses.

Dining room too enclosed and dark. No shade supplied at pool area ie umbrellas.

The staff and service were excellent. The breakfast excellent and staff and service excellent. Coffee very good. Reception staff excellent. Decor very good. Was lovely to have an art exhibition in house. Location was great. PNG bar and grill excellent. Pick up and drop off at airport service is excellent Need to have gates and a pathway through the pool area (all you need is stepping stones so people unconsciously follow the path) as it becomes such a long way to get to reception whichever way you walk around the pool.

Hi there The rooms smelt very sickly sweet & musky on entering. Like the smell of the cakes they put in men's loos! Not nice I know but the only smell I could relate it to. The shower sprayed everywhere. The outside chairs were in very poor state of disrepair. The walls were covered in webs made by some insect burrowing into the wall which were in plague proportions on all the walls outside the rooms right along where 651 is located. This needs to be urgently addressed! The gardens in bad need of maintenance. If the gardens were well maintained it would make all the other little things not matter so much. The waterfall and pond at the entrance needs to be either cleaned out or re-established as a lovely little eco-system with fish. The pizza should be taken off the room service menu. By the time they reach the room they are cold, soggy, tasteless and just one big blob of dough really. Not nice at all!!

The restaurant staff were user unfriendly. Loud music, unwilling to change location of seating despite the restaurant being nearly empty on one occasion, on another with the restaurant being nearly empty, tried to make us return 45 minutes later - which we didn't do- but the restaurant was still nearly empty. It seems to need a different management style.

Room very spacious. Reception open long hours, very useful when leaving for a tour at 5.00 am. Staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel and grounds are in need of refurbishment. It's a little bit shabby. All pool gates are not always unlocked, making entry to the pool area into a long walk. The glass coffee table is a hazard. It's difficult to see and resulted in many bumped knees.

Room was OK and clean Restaurant and staff very good

Poorly designed hotel with significant maintenance issues including collapsing eaves and guttering which reflect poorly on the remainder of the property. The pool area lends itself to shade trees or sails to improve the ambiance,
