The first room we were given looked out onto a brick wall with spray writing on it and then after asking to move were given a room alongside a 12 lane freeway with no double glazing so could hear all the trafic and a horrible view and was told by the staff welll at least this room has a tree! it ruined the end of an excellent holiday up to this point! The hotel car park is ridiculous you cannot park a car without doing a 22 point turn to get into the space and you are expected to pay 20 dollars a night for this ! really not on. Staff not interested in customers satisfaction would never recommend this hotel.

* Recently refurbished room was well apointed. * One of the two front office employees provided exceptional service. * Advised of an issue with the hotel hot water supply on checkin which was a Sunday. Being the weekend, the hotel was evidently not willing to pay the required service for a maintenance contractor to rectify the situation, resulting in tepid temperatures when showering on Sunday, and ice cold temperatures on Monday.

We were disappointed that there was no pool anymore. The hotel should have free wifi available & free parking. It was annoying to be racing down stairs to place money in meter for 0800 each day. We spent most days out & about but it would been nicer to relax and sleep in , rather than clock watching in mornings.

The staff were excellent, very helpful The renovations. It was clearly stated in the room that renovations were occurring but that any works would only be done between 9am and 5pm, but on my first morning I was woken at 7.30 am to someone sawing in the room above me. I contacted reception and they immediately tried to have it stopped, I then requested to be moved to another room to which the staff happily obliged. I think the quality control of the renovations needs to be looked at as I saw quite a few things in the new room that are not up to standard, such as new taps and fittings in the bathroom placed where the old ones were, but have not been properly 'filled' in around them, therefore there are holes and marks on the wall where the old taps and fittings were. Just little things, but I noticed them, and I am just a regular person. I don't know that I would stay there again, for the price that is being charged for what seems to be less than quality renovations.

Close walking distance to supermarkets etc. Spacious room plus separate bath to shower. Our air conditioning didnt work for the first night. Having a 15 month old son meant that our sleep was restless. Opening our window wasnt an option as it opened onto the freeway. Our utilities weren't clean, finding left over food on our cutlery etc.

The hotel rooms were great, however I was advised that the rooms were for 2 people so I booked lots of rooms to accommodate our party. When we got to the hotel we discovered that the rooms could accommodate 4 people. So next time I know better. We are already planning our next stay at your hotel for a shopping spree as it is cost effective, nice and close to the city.

The Marque is well positioned for the city centre, Kings Park, ferries and other attractions. Staff were efficient and friendly. Bar and restaurant on site with reasonably priced meals. A good, well-priced city hotel. On the reservation sheet from booking.com stated that 100% of first night's accommodation had been taken from credit card. This was not the case but was a bit disconcerting being presented with a bill for the full amount and not being able to check my credit card statement to make sure.

The location is great, between the cbd, shopping/dining area and Kings park, the staff are superb, real 'can do' spirit with a smile. Parking is half the price of city parking lots.

They were busy refurbishing during our stay and we could not use the room between 9 am and 5 pm due to the noise. This was unacceptable to us as we have been traveling over timezones and wanted to sleep in. We never received any indication from them that this was the case before arriving.

The efficient service, especially from the front of house staff at reception. All requests, no matter how small, were treated as important. An evident "can do, will do" attitude. Bar area lacking atmosphere and definite difference in attitude of staff there, when compared to reception.
