The 1 bedroom studio apartment on the website is certainly NOT the room that we paid for. Small, dated room with a fan that didn't work - needless to say we had no sleep due to the heat. Our room at the top of the stairs offered no privacy as other guests looked through window, if we closed the blind the room was in darkness, also we needed it open for air to circulate. Very tiny bathroom, with old towels & face washers provided. Definitely won't be returning or recommending.
TV didn't work
Its proximity to the sea and the town in a quiet picturesque street. My first night there was delightful.
I was unlucky in that the young people staying in the room next door to me decided to have a party there that lasted most of the night. The main drawback seems to be that the Lodge is unmanaged at night.
Stained bed linen
No Parking had to pay to park two streets away.
location good One of the staff was helpful and friendly
no wifi in room Television reception erratic
Friendly & helpful staff Quiet location Garden to relax: WiFi is accessible from Garden
- to walk from Manly Wharf takes much longer than "10mins" (which is the time period indicated on Booking.com's website), especially with luggage; - "ceiling fans" in description on Booking.com: there is One ceiling fan; - the Bathroom in Apartment 3005 TINY, to say the least; - no Teapot & minimal crockery in Kitchen; - weak WiFi connection inside Apartment; - tariff for Friday & Saturday nights is too high for this Apartment.
Parking in the street outside, quiet neighboorhood. Easy walk to the area with all the bars and restaurants. Check in and out went smooth, even though we never actually met anyone.
No aircon meant a really hot room, we hardly slept at all.. Noisy because the fan made the windowblinds flap like crazy. (I dont mind a little noise while sleeping, but this was way to much). We couldnt connect to the wifi.
Leafy, quiet street two minutes from beach and cafes.
Couch a bit uncomfortable!
location and staff
beds, clean (it wasn't), showerdrain wasn't capable of draining the water (room flooded)
The location is off the main beach drag and therefore quiet and pleasantly suburban.
Staff forgot to place milk in the room despite the statement that there were tea facilities, then took an hour to bring it when reminded. It came in an open jug (why not keep some UHT sachets in the room?). Reception area as hot as hades, long wait for staff. No through ventilation in the carriage-like accommodation,no air con, just a buzzy ceiling fan.
Overpriced (even for a last minute booking) A microwave does not make it a bedsit/kitchenette Bathroom facilities, shared, 1 loo/shower between up to 6 people. Loo paper, cheapest thinnest waste of time.
Perfect for what we were after, staff were friendly and accommodating.
Nice room and bathroom. Quiet place just 10 min of the beach and city. Easy to go to Sydney by ferry. Lots of restaurants. Nice beaches both for svimming and surfing. Nice works around Manly. Very nice garden at Outback Lodge
Too manny young people in town friday and saturday night.
The place is conveniently located very close (< 5min walking) to the beach. Room and en-suite bathroom were clean.
The kitchen was very limited with only microwave and an electrical steak pan. WiFi signal was only available in the garden (so unusable when it rains) and was very poor. Overall, I felt the accommodation was slightly over-priced
Location was really good. A reasonable distance ferry and close to beach and other manly amenity.
Bathroom was tiny and would not suit a larger person. Some space could be allocated to the bathroom from the large kitchenette.
Location is awesome
Bathroom is tiny
Convenience, and location superb . Will stay again .
it was clean and roomy. Bianca was lovely and incredibly helpful.
Garden Position Quite spot
Tiny bathroom No blind on the window Better Linen would be appreciated No bedside lamps as indicated on the web site
close to the Main Street, large room covered in windows and natural light
Location is awesome, 10 mins to Manly ferry, < 5 mins to the beach. Room is basic but has all you might need.
The staff member was friendly and excellent. The location was convenient and close to the beach. The lodge was clean and comfortable.
The bed sheets could have been more comfortable.
Comfy bed, clean, lots of space
Very noisy family in next door room who woke and were noisy from 5.30am! Not that this is the fault of the lodge, basically the walls are thin and if your neighbours make any noise you can hear them! Other than that cant fault the place!
It'll be very hot in the summer
