The Prince

We loved the location with access to all restaurants, Parks, Gyms and transport. The breakfasts were sensational and our night at Circa restaurant was a real culinary experience.

When we arrived we saw a note from the previous guest that had commented on the 'Dirty Shower'. This note was obviously not seen by management and our comment would be exactly the same; The Shower in 408 needs some serious detailed attention to mould and grout issues. It may seem like a little thing but it is the little things that can just let things down a touch.

The motel setup with cafe's out front & pub with great live bands in bandroom. good parking

Funky hotel, smallish rooms in an old hotel but tasteful decoration in contemporary style.

A bit of noise floating up from the bar and functions rooms but became quiet by 11ish. Mini bar prices exhorbatant.

It was clean and comfortable, staff very polite.

Breakfast was included but the choice was limited to one choice only plus only one coffee or one fruit juice (very poor). It was ok but not real value for money, staff very friendly other than the guy who served us breakfast he was very awkward and made us feel uncomfortable all three days we had breakfast. The hotel we felt was more concerned about weddings and functions than looking after guests.

Easy parking, close to the City

Loud music until late at night which impacted heavily on getting a good night sleep.

Nice room, with a very spacious bathroom. Great breakfast a la carte, includes in the price, with the car park as well. Idealy located in St Kilda, and very close of the beach.

The rooms were clean and modern with a rustic feel and have all required amenities. Pay for the upgrade to a view & bath if these are important to you.

Book the spa early. The pool is not heated (and not really for general public use which was odd). Although the staff were extremely helpful when approached, service was often very slow. More attention required

The light switches in the room were hard to operate. The breakfast menu was too restrictive - I would have enjoyed being able to have several cups of coffee with just a selection of eggs, toast etc.- like the breakfast buffets in German hotels - instead of an attempt at gourmet style dining (first thing in the morning I am thirsty rather than hungry).

The overall experience was excellent-breakfast was superb. Dined in one evening and food/wine exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff should be singled out for special mention as they were exceptional.

Awesome location, clean, comfortable and cool. Never fails - fantastic small boutique hotel. We hate big hotels! great food in the restaurant.

The location is very convenient next to a tram station and walking distance to many bars and restaurants.

The breakfast was very inconsistent from one day to the next one. They started building works at 7am and that ended our night.

The location. The decor. The food in Circe restaurant was the most amazing meal I have had for a very long time.

The style of the new renos and location to a great area

Staff were amazing. Free glasses of sparkling and oysters. Free gourmet breakfast, not 'continental' as listed on booking.com, including espresso coffee. Fantastic fitout and spaces. Bar and lounge really funky and not over-priced. Free parking. Great location, 2 minute walk from St Kilda pier and beach. We will certainly be staying at The Prince again! The rooms are a touch small.

It was very noisy as close to bars and restaurants so didn't sleep well Fri and Sat nights. Also, street cleaners every day around 7am.

Alles was eigenlijk uitstekend. Goed gelet op details qua inrichting maar ook mbt eten en alles wat je nodig hebt vind je op de kamer (er is niets overbodig). Het is een kloppend plaatje en het personeel doet er alles aan om op een ingetogen manier klanten zeer behulpzaam te zijn. Buurt is erg leuk. Vlakbij het strand, restaurants en er is een Spa waar we helaas geen gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Aanrader en we gaan zeker terug als we weer in Melbourne zijn!
