Rooms and meals were great, even the stairs, busy part of town but very quiet in side the hotel
It was all great
The rooms were very nicely restored and very spacious.
I would have expected a better breakfast considering the cost of our room.
I liked that the breakfast option was included in the room rate.
Although the continental breakfast was perfectly adequate, the presentation and table set-up was very ordinary. A little more thought is required to bring it up to overseas standards.
good and friendley service
Restaurant was shut, View was poor
History Service Atmosphere Restaurant Good spot Regards Ian Urquhart
The bed wasn't pushed up against the wall because of the window so I couldn't sit up in bed and lean back to watch tv. I ordered room service for dinner but there was no table in the room so I had to eat it perched on the end of the bed. The room was cramped.
Luggage rack would have been better in room rather than wardrobe (very minor)
The restaurant was lovely. Food very good and atmosphere lovely.
The room was bitterly cold on arrival. You would think that they would pre-warm the room. The room itself has potential, but is outdated and in need of a renovation... While still keeping with the era. Needs some artwork.. flowers, added touches.
We were very happy with the room and the facilities and the fact that breakfast was included within the price.
We enjoyed that the hotel has ambience and historical value. It is conveniently located to all of Bendigo's attractions - particularly the gallery.
We feel that the hotel could to with an upgrading of decor - it is all looking a little tired.
Executive suite (philip kennedy) stuck at the back; no view; poor light for reading. Couldn't watch the TV from the couch. Not really a full queen sized bed. Very disappointed.
A really nice hotel, beautifully restored and modernised in a great location with excellent friendly staff
The traffic noise right through the night - rooms on Pall Mall need double glazing or something!
History of building good ambience although in need of front entrance carpet clean on stairs
Lack of parking space to unload. 2 cars badly parked in 10min zone in front from 5 pm to midnight .
The location, the heritage and the comfort of the bed
The noise from other guests at 4:00 in the morning and the kitchen facilities in my room.
very good location, very central
very expensive room, but only received a continental breakfast
Ambience,location and inclusive breakfast.
Street noise. Needs double glazed windows. Restaurant was mediocre.
Restoration decor. Friendly staff. Cleanliness. (Don't you mean 200 character maximum?)
Nothing not to like.
My sister and I were locked out of the hotel at 4am as the door had been locked in such a way from the inside that we were unable to unlock the door.
The location and the town of Bendigo. Comfortable bed.
Room was very pokey. There was no water pressure for the shower, water ran hot, then cold, then not at all!! Couldn't fill the kettle in the sink needed to lean into the bath to fill, area for tea making was incredibly badly done. Steam from kettle over time had damaged the unit it was in, couldn't open the fridge whilst door was down to acess & boil kettle, so was putting cups on the floor to make a cuppa. Oh and could only make one cup as we only had one teabag. Cafe staff at breakfast were rude and told us the wrong information re breakfast charges with our room charge so we got an unpleasant surprise when fixing up the bill on check out. Such a shame as I have stayed previously and couldn't speak highly enough of the place - hence my return. Don't know what has changed with your management and maintenance since my last stay - i certainly won't be staying again.
On return to our room on Saturday night after spending the day looking around Bendigo, our room was very cold, the heating did not work, when I chased this up we were giving a tiny oil column heating which was totally inadequate, while they looked into our heating problem, this was not repaired or neither were we given adequate heating! My children wore their coats in the room! On check out the next morning we again spoke to the receptionist who merely shrugged her shoulders.
the receptionist in the centre of town quiet room bed good
a small normal room called suite? a tinny bathroom with only shower to pay for parking extra all a bit run down very dark room
Great location, an interesting snap shot of the 1850,s era whilst staying at this Bendigo landmark. Our room was comfortable and service fine.
Breakfast was included in the price, but was very average, a pity because our overall experience was most enjoyable.
Second cheapest room in town. Don't spend time in room for view. Comfortable room
Bed a bit bouncy. Noise from outside fan/air conditioner. Couldn't open window.
