Score from 111 reviews Good
The location, the heritage and the comfort of the bed
The noise from other guests at 4:00 in the morning and the kitchen facilities in my room.
very good location, very central
very expensive room, but only received a continental breakfast
Ambience,location and inclusive breakfast.
Street noise. Needs double glazed windows. Restaurant was mediocre.
Restoration decor. Friendly staff. Cleanliness. (Don't you mean 200 character maximum?)
Nothing not to like.
My sister and I were locked out of the hotel at 4am as the door had been locked in such a way from the inside that we were unable to unlock the door.
Great location, an interesting snap shot of the 1850,s era whilst staying at this Bendigo landmark. Our room was comfortable and service fine.
Breakfast was included in the price, but was very average, a pity because our overall experience was most enjoyable.
Second cheapest room in town. Don't spend time in room for view. Comfortable room
Bed a bit bouncy. Noise from outside fan/air conditioner. Couldn't open window.
The room was a great size
having to move out of our initial room because the moment we turned on the A/C it sounded like a rusty truck. The soft furnishings looks a bit tired and have lots of stains - on floor coverings and curtains. the complimentary breakfast was very basic
The Classic Old world charm all the way thru the building not just the Restaurant but in the entrance the hallways and the rooms with modern ensuite and updated facilities right in the heart of town.A great breakfast choice available til 11.The dinner rib eye and chicken was great and a very reasonable price.
No negatives at all
booked two rooms one for two people one for one person the best and largest room was allocated to the single person the explanation given was unsatisfactory
Liked everything about this place.
Room heater not working sufficiently Freezing overnight with no electric blanket. Disappointed with obsolete type of flasks for tea/coffee with continental breakfast. No ambience, eg no lounge with heaters to keep warm except heater in reception area.
the whole hotel being heritage is good, beds are good, the staff are friendly
cleanliness -carpets are very dirty, uponmy bookings, our room suppoed to be either with balcony or spa, we got neither of it, our room is attached to a balcony but will open to the other room, we got only windows. the foods are horrible, not worth to eat in their restaurant.
Historical old world charm and convenient location
The fact they now have a TAB and Pokies - detracts from the charm. The beer garden - very unappealing and second rate.
Location close to theatre.
Very noisy neighbours that played loud music all night. Hotel staff comment was thanks for letting us know.
Noisy - could hear all passing traffic Heater clicking on and off all night long The pillows - flat & uncomfortable The continental breakfast - average quality and selection. Was included in our accommodation rate, but took one look and left to go somewhere else
Near the Art Gallery where I wanted to see an exhibition. Lovely continental breakfast included. Good for a traveller who came by public transport.
Room was almost filled by a queen size bed so no chair or space to unpack luggage apart from a wardrobe.
The elegance and history of the hotel. A beer in the bar. Large room with high ceilings that has been modernised with sensitivity. Location.
Limited choice of beers on tap. Should have Guiness and brown ales.
Old world hotel. Central location. Walk to resturants and historic attractions.
Only one chair in a double room. Very weak shower pressure. Car parking provided by council, need to pay each time you enter/exit. Need to be more specific about "breakfast included"- what does it consist of? eg continental buffet.
Having a breakfast included.
Small room without chairs.
Central location and comfortable rooms
Limited parking options
The staff were absolutely amazing. The rooms are big and full of charm.
We travelled on Sunday 13th of July and the young lady at the reception was very helpful particularly with our parking at the car park and it was very dark. We had breakfast in the dining room the following morning as part of the package, the young waitress was very polite and professional and we felt overall, excellent value for money.
