A thoroughly liveable city, Melbourne has a buzzy vibe and an Aussie sense of fun. There’s always something going on, and one of its many festivals is Moomba – Australia’s largest free arts festival. Well worth a visit are the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Aquarium, where you can walk through a clear tunnel as sharks swim over your head.
The city’s most recognizable landmark is Flinders Street Station, whose yellow and green façade matches the color of the historic Melbourne trams that still run around the world’s longest tram network. Keep an eye out for the street art as you travel.
Shopping in Melbourne is fantastic. Queen Victoria Market is the largest open-air market south of the Equator, while the La Trobe Street shopping center has over 300 stores. For food, don’t miss Little Italy - the Carlton area.
South of the Yarra River is St Kilda, home to the best beach and Albert Park, where the F1 Australian Grand Prix is held. However, this isn't the city’s only sports heritage. It’s also the home of Aussie Rules soccer and the MCG, a must-see for cricket fans.
Booking.com has a range of Melbourne accommodations from hotels to hostels and motels, some near Melbourne Airport.
Melbourne is my heart. It’s a vibrant city with so much to do. It is a cultural hub that will keep you entertained until you are exhausted and it’s multi-cultural aspects are it’s highlights. No end of delicious foods from all cultures and many unique shops originating from a variety of cultures. I leave but my heart doesn’t!

Unfortunately Melbourne is following hot on the heels of the 'gouge' economy when it comes to attending public entertainment venues with crazy prices for simple junk foods. That said, snack at happy hour at your hotel before going out and you are sure to find a good little eatery somewhere later on in the night.

WE were in Melbourne on a Friday night with a sellout game at Marvel Football arena. This made that end of town busy and bustling. We enjoyed a meal in China town, travelled the free tram and parked in the SOuthern Cross DFO carpark for convience- just a block down from hotel. Ate brekky there next morning in nice eatery.
DFO shops open at 10am or head into CBD via free tram.

Its so easy to get around Melbourne.
Its so easy to get around Melbourne. Trains, trams never seem to stop.
Great place to eat is Abbey Rd in St Kilda, then take a walk down Ackland Rd and gain kilo's just looking in the windows of the many cake shops along there!!
Must visit St Kilda Beach, Chinatown, and Shrine of Remembrance.
See a show or two there's always something on
Great rooms, self contained, ample size for one in the Studio which I had and nice city outlook if high enough. Cannot fault the staff (thank you Arun and team) and the great location right by Sth Yarra station. I booked a rollaway bed for the last 2 nights when a friend stayed, and it was all set up and comfortable, no problem. I booked this because my go to hotel in the CBD was booked, but now I have another that I would reuse when back in Melbourne.
We were in Melbourne for a football game & found the location for transport to the MCG excellent. Tram stop close by & direct to the Stadium. Staff very helpful. We had breakfast included & the al a carte breakfast was exceptional. The room was very clean & quite spacious. A good walk to the centre of the CBD. Not many restaurants around the immediate area. Had some evening meals at the hotel restaurant and they were very good. Would stay again.
Old and trusted well located Hotel when visiting the Melbourne CBD booked the basic room, clean bed very comfortable and good bathroom best of all was air conditioning PERFECT temperature then top it off you walk out the door and your in the heart of the City. Also car parking but you should pre book car parking.
Highly recommend “an oldie but a goodie”
Will always stay when visiting Melbourne.
Keep up the good work, Fantastic Stay………..
Location was great, handy to get to anywhere in the Melbourne CBD. Lots of restaurants nearby (though most beyond our budget! and not so family friendly) . Close to tram to the Australian Open and walk to Flinders Station area/across to Southbank and city shopping. Big spacious living space and bedrooms, large wardrobes. Good aircon. Reception stored our luggage on checkout day as our flight was later in the day.
It was one of the cheapest hotels in Melbourne that we could find, easy on site parking, buffet breakfast was included in the price which was good, the bed was extremely comfortable.. Spencer outlet right across from the hotel and next to the tram station and also a short 15 minute walk to the CBD area and a 20 minute walk to Docklands. We rebooked another two night stay here again in a month!
Located literally right behind DFO South Wharf with very accessible portals to it and the Melbourne Convention Centre. It was perfect if I attended a convention, but a little to the edge of central Melbourne (CBD, Docklands, Crown, etc) if my purpose on staying was different. No complaints on the room; it's clean perfect for what they advertise. Easy check-in and check-out.
good value for money, room was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, close to CBD eg. southern cross station, docklands, skybus, supermarkets, restaurants etc. hotel is walking distance to the city centre and tram stop just outside the hotel. friendly and helpful staff - allowed us to store our bags in reception after check out, good value for money.
Lovely clean and comfortable boutique hotel. Close to shops, transport, CBD, and undercover parking is also available.
I experienced friendly, helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere. I will stay again if coming into Melbourne.
I would recommend the Miami to anyone wanting accommodation close to town.
Perfect location, laundry, oven and microwave + kettle made it feel like a living space instead of a sterile generic hotel room.
Had a gym and pool but didn't use it but glad to know its there.
Spoiled for choice for eateries and public transport options to the CBD are at your doorstep.
modern living apartments with a stunning location in the heart of the Melbourne CBD- this place was absolutely beautiful, well established and simply to die for- the pool was heated too and they even had a small but functional gym!
staff are super friendly and there’s 24 hour attended desk!
Crown Metropol is always my first choice. We love spending time in Melbourne and it’s location helps us to easily walk to docklands, Southbank or into the heart of the city. If you don’t want to venture out to much the hotel has an amazing swimming pool and the room service is fantastic.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the apartments is convenient, close to CBD, Docklands and Southern Cross Station. Our apartment was quite new. The kitchen and laundry were fully equipped, including washing liquid and capsules, and this was very handy.
The location was good as we had family in the area. Very handy to trams and was close to CBD. Hotel is a little dated now but room was clean and a good size. Staff were very friendly. We used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the meals.
We drove to Melbourne & needed to garage it overnight. Wilson carpark next door to city stays which was great for us. Hotel is within walking distance to Queen Victoria markets which we really like. Easy walk to free tram & CBD.
Excellent bathroom.
The property is located at Melbourne CBD. Everything is near. Melbourne Central, restaurants, there’s a nearby supermarket like 2 mins away the apartment. The city views in the morning and night adds up to the beauty of this pretty new property.
The hotel has an easy access by car (not sure about public transport). Car park though is $25/day but considering you’re in Melbourne CBD that is not surprising.
I wanted a room with the city view and I had it. Very beautiful, loved it.
Situated perfectly in close proximity to Melbourne CBD. This newly built Hotel really does accommodate. Very modern with chic furnishings. The buffet breakfast with the city views is a must.
Huge apartments with everything you need. Excellent location in the Melbourne CBD, particularly for the best dining and access to Flinders St Station. Great value for money.
The hotel is located right at the heart of Melbourne CBD. It is accessible to most tram zones, and there are so many cafes and restaurants around the area.
