The room was lovely Everything was perfectly clean The Kitchen was awesome It was so quiet and peaceful We were in paradise in amongst a canopy of trees. The pool was lovely Helen and John were marvellous hosts and so friendly and helpful!
The television was a bit too small in the bedroom... but that's all... everything else was perfect!!
Rooms, beds, kitchen, pool, bush setting
Small square TVs in bedrooms
We were made very welcome and the owners were quick to respond to our requests. We got some useful tips about where to go - eg to see platypus nearby, which coffee plantation to visit. The room was comfortable and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed.
The owners are a lovely couple who were very helpful with ideas on where to go, what to see and some background information. They always made time for a chat. The facilities were excellent. We could'nt fault our stay.
This is a shared house. Lighting very poor. Owners obviously trying to reduce expenses to themselves. Rather intrusive.
Close to scenic attractions, very helpful owners and beautiful views!
Good location with great views. The owners were unobtrusive but helpful when needed. Good access to lookout and crater walk. Large house with excellent wrap-around verandah ideal for casual drinks or meal. While the house has 3 self-contained bedrooms with ensuites, the kitchen and other general areas are shared. We were the only guests during our stay which made it very private. The kitchen and laundry have very good facilities.
Nothing in particular. Did not use the pool (which is heated) so cannot comment on it.
Timber finishings in living, spacious kitchen and bedroom.
Advertised a great views, you could see the valley/town below slightly to the left, but mostly the view was 2 huge old concrete water tanks which were grotty and blackened, very ugly. No attempt had been made to grow trees/bushes to shield this ugly view. Not good value at all for the price we paid.
Lovely place with a great view I would recommend it to others & go again my self, if I don't want a SPA or care to use the pool. Has Cable TV in a shared lounge & nice self serve kitchen
Pool too cold & SPA didn't work
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Very well decorated and modern. Great view from the terrace if your room is on the correct side (ours wasn't and to walk around to other side was intruding on other guests)
The owners of the hotel expect you to go to their own home to check in before then having to go to the hotel and I felt this wasn't very customer friendly or convenient. We found the hotel slightly isolated from town which made us feel a little vulnerable, especially as it isn't really a hotel, more just a converted house which you share with other guests. The price for the hotel is far too much especially for the lack of service you get. Breakfast is a do it yourself job in a communal kitchen which then also has signs up telling you to do your washing up, this would be fine for a self catering accommodation but when booking the 'hotel' with breakfast included you expect some service. In fact the owners didn't even come and check everything was OK. A small point would be that the owners need to install more lighting outside and under the car port, we returned from a day out at 7pm, it was pitch black and we could not see our way through the carport to the main house, and being isolated this wasn't a pleasant experience. The accommodation is also advertised as having a pool, yes they do but it was covered over and not in use when we were there.
