Location and spacious room
Nothing to speak of....
Location was excellent. Service in terms of cleaning room was excellent as well.
Bed was a bit too small. We had a queen size bed and we would have preferred a king size bed
Front reception and concierge were very helpful and friendly
Room and Bathroom were in dire need of renovation!
The location was convenient because it was near the shopping malls and restaurants. The rooms were clean but the air-con was not working very well. We didn't seem to have much control over the air-con temperature.
If you are driving, I will not recommend this hotel. First of all cars are not allowed on the road in front of the hotel, so you have to drive to a small back lane to off load your luggages. And the hotel charges an exorbitant A$35 per night for valet parking, when my car rental charges only cost me A$32 per day. You have the option to drop off your bags at the hotel's backlane and drive to a multi-storey carpark which is located a few streets away and pay $15 per entry. The hotel should just get their staff to park our cars for their guest and charge us $15 instead of the exorbitant $35 as a service to their guest. From the back lane, you have to carry your heavy baggages down a small flight of steps to go to the reception. When the bags are very heavy, it can be quite a tough job to carry our bags down the flight of staircase. They should construct a ramp for this purpose. We were staying on the 9th floor, but the view from the window was horrible. You have to pay $15 a night for use of wi-fi. If you want to use free wifi at the lobby, you have to get a password from the reception which lasts for 2 hours. After every 2 hours you have to go to the reception again to get a new password for the free wifi. Checkout time is 11.00am. I was told by the reception that $20 per hour will be charged if we fail to checkout by 11.00am.
Helpful and friendly staff
My room was below the gym, all I could hear from 0630 was thump thump thump, as someboby was on the running machine.
Proximity to State library
Had to drag bags a fair way from taxi
The staff were really helpful at all times.
Room was clean and modern. Well-stocked fridge and toiletries. Staff were friendly - we didn't have a credit card on check in (also weren't told in advance that one was required) but were allowed to pay a $100 deposit which we got back on check out. Room was on level 4 and was nice and quiet.
Paid wifi was the only downside but we were hardly in the room so didn't really affect us. Were in room 402, which didn't have a good view.
We liked everything about this hotel, from the greeting by staff to the end of our three night stay...all was excellent...
Not a thing......
The bed and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom could do with updating
The Location was fabulous
The breakfast was average - very little variety. Could do with some hams, cheeses and danish pastries. The bed was somewhat lopsided. The noise from the trams and city was quite annoying.
Lovely Hotel close to everything in the city and the staff are extremely helpful !
Air Conditioner Noise until late at night !
Close to Shops/Eateries/Attractions/Casino Great amenities and Staff were very friendly. Walk to most places was handy
Taxi was a no show for booking
If you are in Melbourne for the shopping, this hotel is in a fantastic location. Staff were helpful and the room was clean and comfortable
Very noisy outside late into in the evening, next time I would request a quiet room.
Situated right in the middle of Melbourne, easy walking distance to all attractions. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Good choice at breakfast, wifi was first night free then unlimited access in reception.
No king size bed and not very comfy
Rooms were very big, comfortable and clean. Concierge, Chris Pappas, was excellent...couldn't ask for more assistance and friendliness from hotel staff member than he delivered!
Breakfast buffet was less than average with many dishes bein empty for up to 1/2 hour, egg orders not being delivered and tables being cleared but not cleaned....don't waste your time and money on the breakfast...go to a cafe
great hotel beautiful room.
Breakfast very average. best to go to a nearby cafe.
Enjoyed our few days at this hotel and would consider using this hotel again
Not much only that the room had very little storage and with 3 women sharing the room got a little messy
Location was perfect. Beds very comfortable
Mould on the grouting of the tiling in the bathroom.
the perfect location to all transport, restaurants and shopping. easily accessible rooms. friendly & knowledgable staff. great water pressure. great dark rooms for sleeping
decor looks a bit tired.. top draw under tv, above fridge was very dirty. u dont have the courtesy hot chocolate sachets anymore, like you have the coffee.
Very central for shopping and restaurants.
We were advised room rates increased due to Melbourne cup but waking up on our first morning hotel rates were advertised over $100 cheaper. We paid over $300 a night with views of the internal architecture of the bldg and there was an unpleasant mould smell. Hotel is tired and need of an upgrade. Did not like the beggars outside the front doors every night! Not a good look.
The cost for two nights was extremely high and not justified for a three star hotel
Friendly and quick service even when busy. Clean room, not as dated as other similar hotels I have stayed at in the past
No free wifi always makes me sad. I only stayed one night but I have no complaints from that time.
The hike in price for a busy weekend . The room did not seem to be a "superior" king size !! It cost $600 per night for a regular hotel room.
Location, Location, Location Fab size of room
Looking a bit tired
