The Victoria Hotel - an All Seasons Hotel215 Little Collins Street, CBD, 3000 Melbourne (Show map) Very good, Score from 107 reviews“It was very centrally located; easy to find and easy to get to where we wanted to go - either walking or trams. Breakfast was included which had a good selection of alternatives. The room was on the smallish side but comfortable - good clean bathroom, quiet (no noise from the street was noticable). Good value for money.”

My wife and I stayed regularly at the Vic some 5 years ago, but changed to Travelodge for convenience as our purpose for visiting Melbourne was to attend Concerts which were held at Hamer Hall. As these concerts ar now at the Town Hall and the Alice Restaurant offers meals at 5.30pm, we will use the Vic in the forseeable future ( possible 4 times per year). We found that the hotel has been renovated to a very high standard any suited our purpose admirably. Many Thanks. Don and Jan Smith.

The location is fantastic if you want to be in the middle of the city and close to shops. It has easy access to trams and is close to some great eateries. The room was slightly out-dated for one of the 'new' Heritage Rooms. The walls were dirty and it seemed as if a simple paint job would brighten this room.

Was at a conference at a different hotel so The Victoria was very convenient for this. Also very convenient for shopping and sightseeing and transport to many areas of the city. I felt safe both in and around the hotel including at night. Good area for restaurants and theatres. Inside of the hotel was clean and quiet - noise did not transmit from street or other rooms. Room was of a good size. Staff when approached were helpful and friendly.

It is a nice, value for money hotel. The location is ideal if you want to shop in Melbourne or want a look around the city center.

The location was ideal for shopping and Chinatown for dinner. The rooms were small and the corridors needed a lick of paint. The staff we encountered did not have a smile and upon check out looked exhausted

My first booking was in about 1959, and with every subsequent casual booking, I've found the hotel comfortable, good value for money, and convenient. This is basically unchanged in 2011. I was unaware that the hot-water service was turned off at about 4pm on Thursday 22nd September, for Room 417, so was forced to have a very uncomfortable cold shower before an important evening engagement. Either I should have been offered another room, or I should have been advised as a matter of courtesy, that hot water was not available to my room for a given period. This appears to have been a major communications lapse between Maintenance and Reception, or a failure of procedure by Reception; it needs to be addressed under hotel staff "procedures and policies".

Very quiet rooms. Very friendly staff. I believe the room was a bit small for the price. But otherwise quite comfortable.

The service was adeqate but there was no baggage service to the room for our baggage. This was a problem as I was traveling with my 10yr old grandson. The room on the 3rd floor had no view but was a very big room and we loved it. Overall we would stay there again but we were put up at the hilton south warfe for our last 2 nights and that was a far better hotel. Service was not great

Excellent location very close to public transport and as soon as you stepped out the door you were in central Melbourne cbd. We couldnt have asked for a better location for a shopping trip. To get to our room we had to go up two lifts and walk past the smokers hotel rooms which had a bad smell in the hall way. The pool was very noisey and the spa was luke warm but the gym equipment was new and good quality. It was also smaller than I had thought from looking at the photo of the room .

Fantastic location, easy walk to chinatown, and pubs..We were in 2113, and found the bed really comfortable..and the room very clean..Willing staff at reception, to ring for star bus and arrange pick up, for us.. Bit smoky smelling walking to the lifts, but not too bad.

Room was very comfortable without being extravagant. Provided the amenities I needed. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Liked the fresh milk touch on arrival instead of small packets of long life stuff often given elsewhere.

Central location and frendly staff. Comfortable bed and lovely soft pillows. I liked the separated newer non- smoking section of the hotel where I stayed. Noisy fridge right by bed and noisy air conditioning , dirty ceiling grllle above bed with falling lumps of dust ,however this was pointed out on comments card, reception concerned and am confident this will have been rectified and no longer a concern.
