Very near my conference location, and also near some great restaurants, coffee places, international food (even some halal kebabs), some cheap breakfast places, very lively and near many tram routes. Location-wise... it was tops! Would've been better if the internet and breakfast was included in the hotel rate, but it was already pretty cheap compared to everything else in the same area. |

The main thing I liked was the location of the hotel to shops and transport and the buffet breakfast. |

Good that there is front of house staff at late hours and the lounge area and bar are open at conviniant times. We were on the third floor and as you approach the lifts in a short passage way there was a very bad smell of smoking and it was there for the two days that we stayed there very bad if you are a non smoker. |

Location in CBD was perfect for a weekend trip in the city. window opened right into the back service alley and was woken all 3 mornings at 5:00am by the garbage being collected outside the window. Was hotter inside the hotel then outside. And there was many people booking rooms just so they had a cbd hangout for clubbing there was plenty of drunk yobbos in the foyer |

I liked the 24 hour check in. Very thin walls and I had a knock on the door at about 9:00am for housekeeping even though I was only staying for one night. |

The great position just in the center ideal for tourist who want to visit the city. The bathroom not comfortable and the noise all the day and night coming from the outside also for rooms facing the internal courtyard. |

It was clean, tea/coffee facilities good, needs attended to quickly and room was spacious. Also it was central for shopping & business purposes. One could walk to most places or take a tram, train or bus. Staff could smile more tho' they were courteous enough. Would be good to throw in free wi-fi to attract more travellers, professionals & business people. |

Hotel staff were great. Front desk night crew were excellent as l needed a taxi in the early hours of Sunday morning for an early flight out. Position of the hotel suited my daughter and l perfectly. Very handy to shops etc. l would certainly stay at the hotel again when visiting Melb. All good. Very happy.. |

the central position is what makes this a standout choice in the price range they operate in. |

I found it very friendly. On arrival, I was slightly worried as the outer appearance of the building did not reflect the quality of the room allocated to me. Given that I stay on average 20 days a year in Melbourne, I will be returning and recommending it to others. |

Basically just wanting a bed.Facillties good. Suited me as a lone traveller. Previous night I stayed at the Grand Hyatt ( employers expense) was up market, I wouldnt pay the extra expense my self to go up market, so the Vic suited my situation. Cheers Peter |
