Nice rooms, each room is different, comfortable and has all in-room facilities. Nice art work in rooms and corridors. Friendly staff.
No in-house coffee shop. Location is dependant on what you want to do. For us it was a bit far from Corner Hotel and Chapel St. Unfortunately cannot get day tickets for Trams due to new plastic card system. Maybe Hotel can provide in future.
Great art work and quirky place that's unpretentious thanks for a nice time
I travel to melb on a regular basis every month the Tolarno was great good facility's close to all restaurants an reasonable price range for a weekend booking. The staff were great also. Will be defiantly be staying again.
Very comfortable bed, excellent customer service and the location was perfect.
Parking facility was a bit far from hotel.
There was no lift but the staff willingly cariried suitcases up & down the stairs. Staff friendly & helpful.
Unable to open window to get a bit of fresh air.
It is an old house that was converted to a hotel and it was lovely. The furnishings in the rooms were comfortable and you could make your own meals if you wanted, there's everything there for you. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean and well appointed. The staff were so friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is well situated in St Kilda and on a tram line to the city of Melbourne. There are many restaurants in the area, as well as small supermarket and convenience stores. Albert Park and Lake are nearby, in walking distance. I stayed here while attending a conference at the Pullman Hotel, a 15 minute walk away.
There was nothing I didn't like and I would stay here again. So glad I found it, thank you Booking.com - a real gem.
Whilst it is an older hotel it was very comfortable and didn't suffer from the problem of noise from other guests and was a very quiet hotel. Good beds and very peaceful which guaranteed a good nights sleep. Would visit again. Good restaurants just over the road.
Shower took a little while to heat up. But not big deal.
Great Location and Beautiful Design. Wonderful People
We were looked after very well. Help was offered and given to help our stay an enjoyable one
No, pretty happy with our stay
Accessibility to trams. Artwork and general brightness and cosy feeling of the hotel. Quietness of the rear rooms. Spacious size of the room. Amazing Italian restaurant across the road - Di Stasio. Friendliness of the staff.
Lack of a view. Tricky hot water in the shower; required constant monitoring.
Everything! It was magnifico!
Lovely stay in a motel full of colour character and style. Many thanks
Funky and fun, great location
Great arts work and funky feel, excellent bar and restaurant, service is outstanding
Rooms can be very small, wifi could be improved
The staff were fantastic. The decor is wonderful and very interesting.
Very noisy internally. Guests in the room above us seemed to spend many hours pacing across the floor obvious in heels. Small bathroom.
The staff were terrific. The rooms have great art, as does the whole hotel. Quiet, perfectly located, great bar and food. Can't go wrong.
I loved the character, the artwork, the architecture, the "cosiness", the service, the location.
the room was a little on the small side and there was an irritating noise that sounded like a cat scratching at the door that woke me during the night, but these negatives did not detract from my overall positive experience.
Great location, clean room, had all that we needed. Loved the artworks!
That we were upgraded to a different room next to our friends for no extra charge. They had great friendly service and staff.
The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. Particularly the receptionist and head barman.
We loved all the art and colour throughout the hotel.
Some of the paintwork and fittings needed some fixing up.
Excellent location. Friendly staff.
Noise from the street was unbearable.
The style of the hotel and the location was very easy to get to and from restaurants, trams and sights. Public Car park very easy to access $7 per day rate. Bar down stairs
The cleaning products used to clean the rooms. The kettle which couldn't fit user the tap to fill. Need to restock tea bags daily.
The art deco
What a great place to stay. Staff were so friendly . Rooms wanted for nothing and access to transport was right outside the door . Definitely staying there again.
