Great location with friendly staff.
The room was very small but adequate.
Staff were helpful and not intrusive. Located next to public transport & near to direct airport bus. Room fridge included real coffee as well as drinks, very welcome. Good reading lights on bed, small table for lap top, carefully chosen alternative dvds available. Not a standard bland hotel room, very comfortable.
Could do with better lit bathroom mirror.
Loved the balcony room , funky style just a great location for a reasonable price . We had a great stay .
It took ages to get hot water in the shower and then it was only just warm.
Clean, quiet and close to transport and a vast array of eateries. Would definitely consider staying at the Tolarno when next I visit Melbourne.
Nothing in particular
The décor & art
reception staff were so helpful the hotel had so much character location was great rooms although small were clean and very comfortable
Double glazing on the windows fronting Fitzroy St. Cut out a lot of late night noise. Carpet in the hallway so you don't hear footsteps late at night. Colourful decor within the hotel. Fabulous stained glass window on back stairway - stunning!
In the bathroom, not a lot of room between toilet and wall, while sitting on the loo. Suits short people only. Complimentary biscutes were not replenished after housekeeping cleaned room. Noisy neighbour in the next room; taking loudly with no consideration. However we did not complain to reception.
Great location - close to beach and shops / restaurants on Fitzroy / Acland St Funky decor Comfy rooms
We had room overlooking Fitzroy st which is quite busy most of th night (not the hotels fault and had double glazing)
Amazing service! The guy at the desk was so lovely and welcoming. He helped with everything we needed and was so warming. Perfect location.
We booked the balcony room and it was definitely much louder and brighter than we thought it would be. Could barely sleep most the night due to the loud music so would recommend the other rooms. Our DVD didn't work either.
Love the art. The location. The price is right. All round good service. Don't get to Melbourne often but Tolarno is my first choice
We stayed in a room facing the street which can be noisy by loud passerbys but we chose that as we live in a very busy social strip at home and it doesn't bother us.
Hotel within walking distance of beach shops tram. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The room I shared with my elderly mother was small it didn't have a chair for her to sit down and relax but I didn't request this when I booked room
Fabulous room and facilities. Friendly, lovely, super helpful staff. Highly recommended!
The reception staff, without exception, were cheerful and went out of their way to help...and the room rate was very reasonable... The room had a balcony overlooking Fitzroy Street, which was a magical spot to sit and watch the passing crowd on summer evenings..
i was on the third floor and there was no lift.
Free upgrade on arrival Friendly staff and a great location right on Fitzroy Street, we will stay there again ticked all the boxes for us
Loved the vibe, artwork and friendly helpful staff.
Lack of lift.
I liked the friendly helpful staff; good size room and nice character with all the paintings. Handy to St Kilda Beach.
A bit noisy at the front of the hotel with rowdy all night revelers in the street on Friday and Saturday.
Great place to stay. Close to st kilda beach, public transport and albert park. The bed was comfy. Would recommend to stay here.
Good room, good price, good location, very comfy, good food and bar down stairs
the view out of the window
The room was light and airy, decorated in stylish colours with striking art works. We faced onto Fitzroy St where we could sit and watch life go by on the leafy balcony. Kitchen facilities were excellent and allowed us to prepare our breakfast and lunch. We were very close to fabulous restaurants and cafés. The bar downstairs was a nice place to sit at the end of the night. It reminded us of European experiences. We loved it and will be going back.
There is no lift and I had a back injury. However, the stairs were manageable except for the secon flight-a hand rail as installed on the first flight would make it safer and easier.
Great location, friendly helpful staff and quality dining at the downstairs restaurants
The rooms are very modern and well fitted. The bar and restaurant are fantastic
Polished wooden floors look very attractive but are very noisy when someones arrives at 3am.
.nice people in the reception
I felt really cold in the room and there wasn't more banket wet room also and too far from the city
I love the staff. I love the location. I love St. Kilda.
Access you can't to be miss! prefect a nightout style
no lift! nothing else we dislike
