Nice reception staff; clean, spacious and comfortable room; calm and pleasant decor; excellent location for our purposes (attending an event at the Rod Laver Arena). Excellent transport options close by - tram to venue, and shuttle bus to airport.

My partner was woken in the night by noise from other guests in the hallway, but I was using earplugs and wasn't disturbed.

Wi fi not free, the charge for 24 hours was $25 or $99 for the week, which given that it's not really a budget hotel isn't really acceptable.

It had everything we needed - very comfortable!

The rooms were spacious, clean and modern and the staff were incredibly patient and helpful - even at 2:00am when we arrived home from an event. Would stay again definitely if we had an event in the Docklands.

Good facility for long staying traveller, laundary machine and ice vending machine. Freindly staff and clean facility.

Price was good. Location to CBD not too bad.

Kitchenette is just a fridge and kettle - no sink or cook top.

Very convenient to Docklands and Etihad Stadium and trams.

Parking is expensive

We loved the location. You have a public lift 2mins down the street that can take you to the walkway (stroller friendly) crossing to the Southern Cross Station (Spencer street) access to Woolworths and Coles(when you have children this is great to know. The City Cirlce free tram picks up at 2 stops either end of the st 5mins walk. The Lobby always had a staff member in it ready to give you help. I found that some Staff were helpful and aimed to fix my issues however these issues can be seen as human error but for so many in 4 days it seems a review is desperately needed.

Arriving at dinner time at the hotel with a 16mth old and 10yr old, we found that my ringing the day prior to arrange the cot to be set up in our room wasn't done then the young lady told me it wouldnt fit in the room and the staff member didnt know what he was telling me before my booking and the day earlier not a great way to greet your first time guests (we got the 3x single beds option plus cot) We then got told to go to the room and see if we could make it work!!!! They then made us wait to receive a portacot to room (the first one was broken), We then left the room to feed the kids. On arriving back to room we found a cot set up with sheets and bankets so that was a plus. We stayed 4 days in total. Some rubbish was left in room on first 2 days. After the bag of Diapers we placed double bagged in the bathroom was then found on our table and the day after my 10yr old found a subway cookie wrapper under a bed (we didn't have subway at all. Yuk ) I was over complaining. I spoke to a manager and she was pleasant and helpful.She offered us Full Room service cleaning the next 2 days. I feel by that stage it couldn't be any worst.. Well on check out the lovely young man and his trainee ( these 2 staff need to be Training the others) Checked our bags into secure hold and the bill was finalised only to find the Travellodge staff double charged me for the cot!!! I should have got it for free by this stage. I wouldnt reccomend them again because of the house keeping and some staff training is needed. I usually stay in other Hotels and Apartments in the cbd - docklands area but with a baby I saw this as a better options. It wasn't the case.

Not a hotel problem but railway machinery doing track upgrade throughout the night. Particularly the machinery reversing warning sounds that was almost continuos through out the night. Bad timing on our part.

Beds in the room were not very comfortable - a bit hard

WiFi is expensive, 1.5% surchange for paying by credit card.

Value for money is excellent. It's rare to find such a good triple share room.

We were given new towels each day even though we did not need or request them and wanted to participate in the environmental program at the hotel.

The nice kollegue in the afternoon shift changed me to a room which satisfied me really, as staying for three nights. She was really helpfull and kind.

The guy who checked me in, had with his mind already checked out from his shift. The breakfast was 'indiscutable' even for 14 dollars.

When I asked at reception about walking into the city, no directions were given. I assumed that the city was easily accessible from both sides of the hotel. It would be helpful for staff to know how to walk into town.

Rooms on the north side look right into the offices of channel nine, so its curtains closed pretty much all the time. Very expensive for Internet access.
