Cheap accommodation in good spot for trams, trains and Southbank. You can comfortably walk to the MCG or Bourke St Mall. It's reasonably comfortable but not luxurious. Fox sports channel. Safe luggage storage. Stayed here before and will stay again. The pillows are a bit thin and they need two spares in a double room, not one. The vending machine had no water left. The $50 hold on your credit card is excessive given there is no minibar, room service or onsite bar or restaurant.

Great location and check in and out was efficient. I probably wouldn't stay at Travelodge again. Compared to other hotels in the area I felt it didn't offer a comparable standard. The room was basic. There was no kettle. The sound on the tele was poor so instead of hiring an in house movie we chose to go out to the movies. It was ok - just not up to par.

Clean and efficiently run hotel within a short walk of the centre of Melbourne, and even closer to the Southbank eating and entertainment area. Wide range of well prepared food for breakfast. Internet access poor for users of traditional web based email accounts.

It was very helpful that the hotel staff allowed us early check in (at 10 am) as we were after a long and tiring flight. We didn't like the smell in the room (hotels' smell) and there is no fresh air as windows are closed permanently. However overall impression was good.

This is 3rd or 4th time staying here and have been very happy each time. Well located for food and a short walk into the cbd. Close to the Tan where we are able to go for our walk.

My second stay with Travelodge Southbank within 3 months. This stay was every bit as pleasant as the first. The staff were friendly and accommodating...especially the cleaners. The room was absolutely spotless, comfortable and quiet, and I love the small touches such as a sign at reception every morning with the expected weather for the day...and free easter eggs over the easter weekend! I had queries before and after my visit, which I emailed through, and got prompt, helpful and friendly responses both times. Travelodge Southbank will definitely be my first port of call for future accommodation in Melbourne. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the location as everything was in walking distance. Rooms were comfortable. I felt that the customer service the night we checked in was very poor. The receptionist wasn't friendly and hardly even spoke to us. There was no 'Welcome to travelodge etc..... So we would probably stay at another hotel next time we visited Melbourne.

The convenience of where it was situated. It was close to restaurants and entertainment, transport. Car parking was the only hiccup we had as we got lost in the car park but otherwise the rates were excellent. There was nothing really that we didn't like, other than getting lost in the car park but we treated that as an adventure anyway.

The motel was lovely comfortable and very clean and tidy but the car parking was a rip off Advertised on hotel site as $12-00 cost $42-00 for one night from 715pm till 8 15 am next day Car mpark advertising was a rip off

This hotel is moderately priced for the Southbank area. The location is perfect with walking distance to a many Southbank activities. It is also very quiet.
