Travelodge is a modest, unpretentious hotel that does what it says on the tin. Looking back on an extended period of work in the city, I stayed at Travelodge more than anywhere else. I always slept well and found the kitchenette got me out of a hole when I had to work in the evenings. Altogether, a good hotel.

Occasionally I'd come across an abrupt member of staff but my only criticism was their taking full payment from me when I booked, weeks before I stayed there. What happened to payment tendered for a service received?

Location and the facilities at the motel which include a mini kitchen

I wasn't quite sure about the parking arrangement's. When we arrived all i was told that the first time we leave to go reception and they would issue a ticket.I was not told of the cost of the ticket which I should have been

Everything was comfortable clean and staff were helpfull

We had three of us in the room all adults sometimes not enough little things for three of us and sometimes nothing to do our dishes with like tea towel and dishwashing soap house keeping needs to look at the situations of a room with three people in one room and another suggestion is to have free wifi and all free to air tv channels in room

Bed was only a mattress on a hard base so was very hard & rigid

Considering I booked this very late due to my own laziness, me and 2 friends stayed for 4 nights and was still cheap. We didnt expect much but we got a cozy and clean room and staff were friendly. All you really need and again price was great!

Kind of hidden away from city centre but in saying that you stay away from all the craziness and easy to still get to Kings Cross or city.

Thought it was expensive.

It was conveniently located within walking distance to all amenities & train station. Staff was nice & checking in was quick. Was on the quieter side of city which was good.

Room was a little too small for a 3 bed occupancy. The windows were sealed, would have been good if it could allow some fresh air in. Didn't have wifi in the room.

It was a great room for the night. Somewhere to sleep and take it easy before a jammed packed day. Great room. A great location and excellent if you want to go out on Oxford Street, nice and close!

When you book a room and it asks for you to request what you want, you don't always get it. (I asked for a double room and got a twin room) The staff were friendly when I asked if they have a double and they then gave me the double room but just be warned!

Dodgy swipe card system in elevator (sometimes got trapped). Water pressure in shower very weak.

convenience to Central railway to access Countrylink train and airport for interstate travel. Convenience to chinatown and Central City e.g. Town Hall.

Poor practice of staff on both occasions, both coming to Sydney to travel, and leaving Sydney to return home. We had serious issues with the safety of a broken cot given to our eight month old baby, and were told by staff it was the only one available in the whole of Travelodge, it also had no mattress, just exposed struts. We were told that is how it was supposed to be. It took nearly two hours to get a cot for the baby after a long days travel. When I talked about it the next morning I was initially dismissed, but a staff member "Hope" followed up and the cot was put in the rubbish and she acknowledged that housekeeping had locked all the cots away. We were also told that we could only have one sheet for the baby, and the one given had rips in the side with long loose threads, so we were unable to use it. I ended up putting the baby to bed in my bed until someone rang another Travelodge to sort out another cot and some linen. I understand these things can happen, it was the dismissive, uninterested attitude of the staff that I was disappointed in. Also on first visit when arriving in Sydney I paid cash for the room, but was still charged the full amount on my credit card and had to get them to ring the bank to sort it out. Both occasions the staff members were not open to listening to the issue at hand. Finally got someone to sort it, but disappointed by the poor practice and dismissive attitude of frontdesk staff. We had just come from another Hotel chain and they could not have been more helpful.

had booked a 3 bed room, but when checked in were told we had a 2 bed and sofa bed & no other rooms available.Disputed this but told we had to look at it first. Went to room & rang reception to say unacceptable, we were told to come downstairs (with our luggage) & get keys for another room. WHY WEREN'T WE GIVEN THIS ROOM AT FIRST.

Excellent service and very clean, close to everything.

A bit tricky having a family in one room we were probably better off in an apartment but apart from that it was good.
