Daylesford is a Rural Victoria gem, filled with art galleries and great shopping, but most of all an awesome atmosphere where everyone is welcomed. The springs are closeby and wellness spas are abundant, as are a host of other attractions, but you will need transport (car/motorbike) to make the most of it.
The annual Pride ChillOut festival over the long labour day weekend is a must, a weekend filled with a host of events and where all the Daylesford businesses get involved. A truly magical time.

It was easy to spend 3 days in Daylesford visiting galleries, parks and the lake area. The food was excellent at the cafes and restaurants I visited, especially The Farmers Arms Hotel which also had a lovely outdoor area. If you’re into second hand shopping, you must visit the Mill Market and op shops too!

Daylesford is wonderful, I visit a few times a year.
Daylesford is wonderful, I visit a few times a year. Lovely restaurants, cafes, shops, people and a superb calmness that is perfect for the soul on a weekend away.
Farmers Arms pub has a great local feel, raffle on a Friday is fun. Convent for scones is a great experience and history lesson. Plenty more to do, if you so desire... but a chilled weekend with great company is the the way I like to experience Daylesford.

Very picturesque and relaxing place.
Very picturesque and relaxing place. Friendly locals, lovely cafes and restaurants.
Mineral Springs at Hepburn Bathhouse are amazing for total relaxation.
Although not cheap, it is well worth the experience.
Arinya Retreat is a gorgeous designed home, with great warmth. The north facing windows allow the sun to filter through and warm the house. The cosy open fire is a great place to sit and enjoy a book and a glass of wine. The location 10mins from Daylesford offers tranquility and great walking tracks. The kangaroos are definitely at home there. Damien was a fantastic host welcoming us on arrival and then offers complete privacy. On site massage a great bonus. The house was extremely clean. Would definitely return again next year.
The Lake view is amazing, peaceful and lovely to wake up to with a coffee on the large deck.
Easy access to walking paths and Daylesford town
The house has tons of character and is thoughtfully decorated.
The location was very quiet with birdsong waking you in the morning, highly recommend Waterside.
The Host Tony was very helpful and quickly answered all questions
I had been to Daylesford many times and this is one of the best places I've been! the house is wonderful, has all the basics you need for cooking, great property, close to shops and walking distance to the lake, location is amazing as is very quiet and peaceful, lovely plants and lots of places to sit around the property! will definitely go back!
The location is excellent, the property with private river and gardens are amazing. The bath hub is beyond expectation. By the way, kangaroos are gathering in front of the bath hub in the early evening. It's such a great view. The house is cozy and the fireplace is easy to handle. Overall it's an excellent stay experience. 5 stars.
Little Jem is a beautifully appointed and cosy house, perfect for a couple’s getaway. The perfect location to enjoy all Daylesford has to offer.
The house was so comfortable and luxurious, Kim was easy to communicate with and it’s so close to everything. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
The place was welcomingly warm when we arrived. The owner had prepared bountiful supplies for breakfast, good coffee and teas, and also snacks (cheese, dips and crisps), which was a nice touch. Large house with plenty of room for a group of six.
There is so much to do in Daylesford and yet if you didn't want to leave the house for your stay there is also plenty to occupy yourself at Dunroman. A perfect holiday home for any age group especially families.
Immaculate cottage and extremely clean, pet friendly with lots of amazing touches making it feel very homely while also having modern appliances and fitting. Wayne was extremely responsive and a great host
Everything, location was super easy to find, right in the heart of Daylesford. It's a little old school British looking cottage and gives off that really old Victorian vibe from back in the days
Wonderful view, warm and comfortable house was perfect base for Daylesford. The kitchen is well-equipped for loads of cooking options. Bathrooms are comfy with excellent hot water.
Location was great. Only a short walk to the Main Street in Daylesford. All facilities in the house were good. It was great to have a fireplace in the house.
