Rocco and Mara are wonderful hosts. Friendly, warm welcomes and hospitality throughout our stay. Roccco's cooking is absolutely divine, Italian cuisine at its best. Check in was at 2pm. I just wish it was earlier as we arrived in Hervey Bay at 8.30 am. We did inquire but check in could not be brought forward. Other than that everything was absolutely brilliant and more than we expected. :)

Villa Cavour was an excellent choice for us and our hosts Rocco and Mara could not have been more welcoming. They run a very efficient establishment. An added bonus is that you are offered a choice of Continental Breakfasts or Full English and an evening meal if you choose to eat there. Rocco is a professional Italian chef and we selected to eat there on three evenings of our four night stay.Their wines are imported from Piedimonte. Mara and Rocco are to be congratulated on their achievements as hosts.

Extremely comfortable. Very hospitable owners without imposing on our privacy. Lovely surroundings. Delicious breakfast.So much nicer than a hotel.Home away from home.We have elderly parents living nearby and have always stayed in a hotel but now that we have found Villa Cavour we will definitely stay there in the future. Thank-you very much Mara you are a fabulous hostess.

Everything!!! Felt like home. Great owner couple, delicious breakfast and great cooked dinner by the owner. The house is wonderful and there are the best beds we had on all our long Australia trip. Love it!!! Leaving...:-(

Wonderful facilities, and tremendous hospitality. The breakfasts are superb. Nothing - it is located a little out of town so you need a car.

Alles was geweldig! Super mooie verzorgde ruime kamer. Goede locatie. Maar vooral: super service! Wij kwamen er 's middags aan voor een beperkte tijd (anderhalve dag) en we wilden 2 dingen (whale watching en fraser island) doen; Wij vertelden dat haar en ze heeft dat op 10 minuten geregeld waardoor we 30 min na aankomst reeds op een boot zaten. De man is chefkok en we hebben daar 2 avonden gegeten. Restaurantkwaliteit voor heel redelijke prijs. Ze hebben een uitgebreide wijn-en champagnekaart. Ze hebben voor ons een prachtige Proseco uitgekozen die perfect bij onze gerechten paste. Villa Cavour is op alle vlakken een aanrader!

Nice location and house, good food and nice host, clean and nicely fitted room Low pressure shower, no plug in convenient location to charge phone or laptop, smell from kitchen gets into the rooms when cooking, so does the noise from downstairs tv

My wife and I spent one night at Villa Carvour and were amazed by the hospitality of Mara and Rocco. Due to our early flight we arrived at the Villa at 9.30 am and Mara kindly allowed us to leave our luggage with them until the room was ready. She was also extremely helpful liasing with a taxi company trying to book a cab for us; beware getting a cab in Hervey Bay can be a little bit tricky(only one company in town). Mara was very friendly and looked after us superbly. The area where the Villa is located is beautiful and peaceful. The room was very spacious (huge bed!) and the food was something else. We stayed in for dinner and absolutely loved it. Rocco's risotto with fresh seafood was out of this world. The traditional dessert from Piamonte region in Italy (hazelnut torte with chocolate) was to die for! Breakfast was very generous and Mara offered dairy free alternative despite me not having requested it in advance. I wish we could have stayed longer as it certainly felt as home away from home. After having stayed at various hostels, hotels and motels during our Australian adventure this is definitely the highlight of our trip as far as accommodation and food are concerned
