The bed was a little soft, I prefer a firmer mattress, back was a little saw the next day.

The breakfasts served was out standing , And the cook was a very nice person filled with lots of information about places to visit in tas.

The rooms are in urgent need of updating the beds and the Heating?in the rooms. The shower was leaking quite bad. We did tell the owner of this problem and her answer was ( We have already fixed the leaking shower? Also the owner needs to learn more about tas and the requirements needed when visiting any National Parks !!!.

Convenience to the shops & restaurants.

The room was big and confortable, the bathroom had a spa bath and the breakfast was excellent value. All the staff were very nice and helpful.

A lot of stairs if your staying in the old part of the hotel, especially to the top floor....

Gap under door .. Spare bed on balcony with spa bath , freezing even with heater in main room , we moved it .. Had to pay more for that even though advertised with 3 beds , but clearly not part of the room . Breakfast room was freezing , breakfast wasn't very good . Confusion with payment , unpleasant .

The Waratah on York is described as elegant and it is. The Manager is very friendly and made us feel comfortable. She also recommended a restaurant in the city which offered excellent food at a discounted price. An excellent buffet breakfast is included and served in dining room with a great view down into the city.

Perhaps we should stayed in the new one as there mighten have had so many steps, maybe.?

The service and friendly staff attention to our needs was wonderful. The room was spacious and very comfortable and great value for money including breakfast. Definitely recommend Waratah on York in Launceston for somewhere central to stay.

The lady and gent who presided over breakfast were terrific, as was the breakfast. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.

Parking was tight but at least available. Occasional furniture in room was tired, mismatched and worn.

Breakfast was good - the service was great. I left my iphone charger at another hotel and the receptionist went out of her way to find a charger for me to borrow overnight. Good location for the city.

Staff is excellent, very helpful and kind, from reception to cleaning staff. Breakfast manager is very kind, nice and sometimes telling stories about the history of Launceston, which is very kind.

Unfortunately, there is s very steep road to get here (very!), and it was impossible to travel around with a pram and a 2-year old child, without driving. Going out for dinner too was an adventure, it takes 5 minutes but always by car to get to the cbd. The room is nice, but we HATED the TV - basically the screen ration is so small and impossible to understand the remote commands, which are in Chinese. I know you don't go on holiday to watch TV, but it is disappointing when something is advertised, and it is actually not it. The electrical wires behind the TV, too, many and all exposed, are very dangerous too, I would advised to bundle them up, and get them away from kids and adults too!!
