Could do with an update. Decor very old
Close location to Warburton town and lovely shops and Pub
The bed was good, comfortable. if you like hard mattress. The space was good, lots of space for a family to move around in. - 19" TV in lounge which is a long way from the couch. (bring glasses)
The room was dated. - with paper thin walls There is only one small couch for 2 people to sit at. - Not a family room at all. There are wires hanging down so they are easily knocked. (which you will be blamed for and will be bullied to pay over the odds to replace) The shower was a little bigger than a cardboard box that a small child could move in. You can easily burn yourself. Bedding was itchy Light in master bed room flickered so much it gave us a headache, and in the end couldn't use it. The owners are rude and abrupt, and dont seem to like children staying at their place. I was on the top floor, and would hate to think what the noise was underneath me. The package says breakfast, but that's not correct. (still have to pay $15 pp) The town was nice, but expensive. If you are staying here to go to the snow, dont! Interesting terms and conditions regarding people staying out in the garden at night. The "cleaners" enter rooms without permission, when you aren't there - no option in saying no.
lovely views, close proximity to river walks, clean and comfortable. Overall a very relaxing time away from home.
Nothing we didnt like
the family friendly atmosphere, gentle hum of people enjoying their meals, no TV in our faces, we could talk with ease.
It was warm & cosy on a very wintry night, but it is so tired & needs updating
Pet friendly, exceptionally clean.
TV to small
My friends and I rode bikes from Lilydale to Warburton. The hotel located at the end of the train rail. It is a great relief to be welcomed into a preheat room after a winter ride. All things are clean and in order. Moreover, the hostess took care of me as I had my knee injured and the host told us a secret path to ride inside the forest... We really enjoy our journey!
The stairs were difficult for someone with a disability.
Friendly helpful staff, clean and comfortable place and close to town.it was lovely and warm on the cold nights. Thanks for enjoyable stay.
This is a excellent example of Australian 1960/70s style motel. The decor is slightly dated but it is spotlessly clean and the hot water and heating was well appreciated after a cold wet day hiking in the hills.
We use the Warbuton Motel every year as a base for our support crew during the Oxfam 100k walk. It's wonderfully convenient and meets our needs perfectly.
Really loved the gardens surrounding the motel, the pussy cat and the spa bath in our room.
Location was lovely, located just outside of town which was quiet but still close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants
The layout of the room was good and good size room
The room had a strange smell...I brought incense to try and mask the smell. The towels did not match the rest of the bathroom. Strange pillows
Perfect location Large room Good heating Nice walks Great town
- Called a week before to ask about a late checkout and were told that was fine just a fee per hour for the extension. When we advised the time we wanted to checkout upon checkin, we were told we couldn't do a late checkout - Room had a terrible musty smell - bath mat in bathroom was absolutely saturated when we checked in (shudder to think why) - power points for lamps and electric blanket not working in room - hairs found hanging from lamp
The bed was a bit lumpy, with springs digging in when sleeping. But otherwise, all great thanks.
nice balcony for sunny days . nice gardens
noisy local traffic, trucks etc all hours of the night) and visitors in neighboring rooms were easily heard the walls were too thin, bedding was itchy, (possibly fleas) as the resident cat ran into the room and rolled around on floor and bed,had obviously been in there before, was hard to get him to leave. We were given a room on the top floor which was up a large flight of stairs with no option of lower room offered (my husband has a disability),
The motel was in a convenient location and the owners were helpful.
The picture was better than the actual accommodation which was a bit old and needs some refurbishment. All and all a good experience though.
Although the rooms are little out dated they are clean and comfortable and roomy
The toilet paper was a bit of a shock as it was the paper squares that you find in an old public toilet an upgrade to toilet paper rolls would an improvement
Beautiful location nestled amougnst the green of the Yarra Ranges.
Out of date looking bathroom with a shower that couldn't decide whether to run hot or cold. One ply toilet paper in a hotel room is poor. Decor in the bedroom leaves a lot to be desired.
Lovely grounds, clean rooms with nice touches like electric blankets.
Very small TV in room- hard to see from the couch!
