spacious dorm room (room 3)

I booked/requested 'FEMALE' only dorm and was given mixed. On the second night, a guy from bunk above me (I'm in 3A), climbed down in the middle of night and started Urinate over the corner.....!!!!!!, and right thru the night, he was up and down, in and out.... anything else you wanna me to comment on? and yes the kitchen is NOT open for early travellers at 7 am.......

I stayed at your facility as it was listed as a hotel on last minute. On arrival, found it was a hostel. I didnt get any sleep due to roudy partiers. Would have got a better sleep at the airport.

I stayed in the female dorm for one night, the room was clean and proper, the weekend manager was very helpful to make a call to airport shuttle for me. Bathroom was also nice and clean, the guests were a nice people. This hostel is located in the quite neighborhood which allows you to have a nice deep sleep. And it is just few minutes walk to the crowd in James St, also few minutes walk to the CAT bus station that can get you around Perth for free.

Internet service is a bit pricy, I prefer to have a breakfast at Opal cafe near the hostel and get a free wifi access :)))

The staff were very accommodating. With the courtyard and living area it makes a great first stop for travellers. The homely feel allows you to makes friends easily! Loved it there

-Really unwelcoming staff -If you wanted to use cups, plates ect you had to pay rent for them Would not come there again because of the staff's negative attitude

Price is not cheap bit cheaper hotel in perth

People were not considerate at all and smashed the doors all night couldnt sleep ar all worst experience ever...

A lovely old building in a great location.

Kitchen closed too early and due to the location being in a residential area the very nice outdoor area also closed too early. I can not recommend Perth to any low budget traveller.

I only stayed for one night. The night supervisor was a great guy (Andy I think his name is) - showed me around the place, made me feel very welcome. Very clean place, very well run.

My room had 3 cockroaches - not good! My friend killed one, the night supervisor removed another..& the last one couldn't be caught. Hm..

location and space

It was one pf the more reasonable options in a town with overpriced accommodation.

People get up from 4 am to go to work and the noise wakes you up. The room was poorly maintained. When you try to open a drawer you hold the front in your hand because it was only stuck back in place but never repaired, paint flakes off the walls.

Good kitchen and friendly hostel mates make this a good place to stay. Well recommended for the price and facilities. Good location, near the city - a 15min walk to get to Perth city center.

Not easy to get on and off the top bunk of the double-deck bunk beds of the dorm, and shaky.

I had a fantastic stay big thankyou to skye and Danni , they had all the info I needed and were all too happy to help me with anything I needed . The witches hat has a very friendly atmosphere with people from all over the world . Definatley a stay to remember and I will be back for more in the future

Extended our stay by 7 days and was no problem! The manager is brilliant and could not have been more helpful. Would recomend staying here!!

The bathroom was filthy with urine sprayed everywhere. The sign says to let a staff member know, which we did, to receive an oh well answer

The staff Skye and Amaryice were very helpful with bookings. The shuttle from the airport to and from Witche's Hat was $18.00 (1 1/2 hrs) each way. The location is in a good neighbourhood Northbridge, with a large park and tennis courts across the road from the Hotel. The room was very clean and the toilets and showers and common areas are cleaned daily. While some of the guests have been at the hostel for months working, this is true of every hostel in Perth due to the unavailable housing situation. I found the long term residents very friendly and helpful. I spoke with many of them every day and they gave me directions to the IGA, ATM's, museums, best spots to take pictures of the city, bus routes etc. The internet worked every day and Wifi is relatively cheap. I wrote 5 or 6 letters on my I touch and paid for 10 minutes to send out all the letters at once. The laundry facilites work well and there is a large screen TV in the living room with video games and some movies. I stayed for 4 days in April at the beginning of my trip and 3 days in May at the end of my trip. I would definately stay here again and I recommend the Witche's Hat.

Echtes Backbacker Hostel in einem netten alten Haus. Hostel Charme. Coole Backbacker. Große Gemeinschaftsküche und viel Kochzubehör. Große Kühlschränke. Kostenloses parken möglich. Hostel liegt in einem netten Umfeld und ist recht zentral.

Echtes Backbacker Hostel und Feeling. Bei Anreise sind wir sehr unhöflich an der Rezeption behandelt worden. Zimmer war klein, Schränke waren eher Sperrmüll. Teppichboden im Zimmer etwas eckelig. Zimmertüren klapperig. Im Hostel geht's abends bis nachts laut zu. Duschen, Toiletten nicht sauber. Von der sog Klimaanlage haben wir nichts gemerkt.

Lage war ganz ok, einige Lokale und Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung.

Dame am Empfang, das Badezimmer war nicht sauber, Dusche konnte man nicht benutzen, überall Haare am Boden und schmudelig

The witch's hat est petit, ce qui assure une tranquillité que d'autres backpackers plus grands ne peuvent offrir. Le quartier est sympa et le personnel amical (mate aren't we in Australia? :-). Prendre ses petits déjeûners chez "Tarts", dont les muffins sont vraiment extra :-) !!!

Comme dans tous les backpackers, le manque de considération des uns pour le sommeil des autres. Certains semblent ignorer qu'il est possible de préparer son sac la veille.

Está céntrico pero en una calle tranquila, por lo que no hay gente alrededor. Tiene muchas facilidades (cocina compartida, varios baños y duchas, WIFI, cuarto con TV y ordenadores, patio con máquina de bebidas, libros...

Suciedad. Detrás de mi mesilla había restos de... Todo tipo de cosas... Prefiero no recordarlo. Ruido. Esto fue mala suerte, pero en la habitación de al lado había 2 chavales australianos que gritaban y daban portazos constantemente y a todas horas, incluso de madrugada. Para los que tengan el sueño ligero, no hay buen aislamiento. El staff es un poco borde/desagradable. Cumple, sin más. No esperes mucha cosa de ellos. Es MUY caro. Aunque ya se sabe que Australia es caro, en general. Pero yo NO volvería a este hostal.
