Water was switched off at one point. When it came back on, my room was flooded, damaging a number of my books and soaking my clothes. Toilets were pretty disgusting too.

Had some big bugs in our room the first night. Afterwards the bugs was gone, a massive rage of ants came in, and played along with our bread and honey - that sucks bigtime!

Rooms stink

well its full of drug smoking pill popping drug addicts and i paid 100 a day for a double room and they turned the airconditioner off from 12 midday until 7pm. never ever go back there again and the night manager patrick needs to learn some manners.

I paid for a private room , air conditioned , all stated on booking information , they turned the airconditioner off during the day , when I was hot and using my 100 per day room that stated had aircon, .they refuse to turn it back on .I am going to logde a formal complaint with the dept of fair trading & tourist dept and consumer affairs it is false advertising and I was not able to moves as it is peak season ,it affect the amneity of my stay.

Room was clean. We were in the back of the building, little noise.

The room was clean. That is the only good thing to say about our stay. Everything else was filthy. They charge for towels, deposit on room key. Band plays loud, very loud. Young crowd who are drunk, beer being spilled on the floor, no supervision. No urinals in the men's bathroom and they are cleaned once a day, poorly. All in all, the worst place we have stayed since we have been touring your great country from May 12, 2012

Located close to lots of places to eat. Easy to get to the airport shuttle

Wasnt a very friendly feel. Quite noisy at night, especially seeing as it was a Monday. The bathroom was gross. No toilet paper in any of the toilet stalls. An alarm was going off at 3am for 40 minutes which kept me awake.

Location and the lockable closet in the room although I had to supply my own locks.

Did not like the noise at all hours. Did not like having to go to front desk to rent pots pans silverware and cups. Especially did not like the misinformation on their web page main page says shuttles to airport are covered. The hostel said they were not included. If they mislead about that what else are they not saying?

常有活動, 尤其週末有party, 實在是很吵, 音樂很大聲, 如果隔天要參加團要早起真的是無法聽不見音樂聲.....

Excellente situation géographique, en plein coeur de la rue la plus animée de la ville. Une bonne ambiance autour de la piscine et de son bar.

Solo la posizione in pieno centro.

Tutto fa letteralmente ribrezzo, l'ostello è frequentato da ragazzi giovanissimi in cerca di divertimento, la struttura è veramente sporca e fatiscente, entrando nei corridoi non passa inosservato il fetore di piedi che trasuda dalla moquette. Noi abbiamo soggiornato in una stanza matrimoniale con bagno in comune, anche se ho visto di peggio in Nepal, io ho dormio vestita, le stanze sono moooolto basic, c'è un letto, un lavandino, una mezza anta adibita ad armadio e un frigor in miniatura...l'aspetto della camera corrisponde all'idea che ho di cella carceraria. Le finestre non ci sono, forse perchè non è mai particolarmente freddo, ci sono le veneziane di plastica trasparente che fungono da finestra, potete immaginare l'isolamento acustico! Per buona parte della serata abbiamo sentito il vociare dei ragazzi nel cortile dell'albergo e il rintocco continuo dei legnetti di un aborigeno x strada. La cosa più assurda è che per una sistemazione simile abbiamo speso 100 dollari australiani, 85 euro circa, era la sistemazione che aveva il maggior punteggio ad un prezzo ragionevole. Non la consiglierei a nessuno, anzi mi chiedo come faccia ad essere frequentato un posto simile, non credo che vengano rispettate le norme igieniche.

Niente,forse la posizione ma fuori c'era talmente tanta confusione e le finestre rotte e aperte che non si è potuto nemmeno chiudere occhio

è sporco,un ostello senza ne piatti ne stoviglie,gente ubriaca e sporca,puzzo indicibile,non c'è lavanderia,le stanze oltre che sporche sono piccolissime(e noi abbiamo preso quella da 4 posti immagino la 8)acqua fredda la mattina per la doccia e appena tiepida la sera ma I bagni erano in pessime condizioni igieniche e strutturali

Nada. La ubicación. Es cutre. Sucio. Y te despiertan a las tres de la mañana a golpes los propios de la limpieza del hotel. Un desastre.

Kitchen didn't hav all the cooking stuff,if u needed anything I'd hav ya walk down stairs to office or go bye it. Pots pans nothing was there

Pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable this backpackers was, id recommend the double room

There was bassnoise every night till 2am and a really loud airco outside. You couldn't sleep at all. And isn't that the main reason why you rent a room?

I booked three nights at Youth Shack with some trepidation, as I can hardly be classified as a "youth", and was a little worried about noise and shenanigans. However, I was pleasantly surprised - my room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the backpackers' central location was great for exploring Darwin. For value-for-money, it was a great option for a short city stopover.
