Cheap and chic in the city. Y Hotel Sydney is one of Sydney best budget hotels offering backpacker, budget and deluxe style accommodation all at affordable prices.

The YWCA's Y Hotel Sydney is renowned for its fantastic city location, safety, clean and stylish rooms. Ideally located in the hip part of town opposite Hyde Park and Oxford Street, the Hotel is surrounded by everything you would want including great shops, cafes, cheap eats, bars, olympic pool, gym, jogging track, parks, gardens and galleries. You can't go past it for value.

A brilliant location for the price and even though the bathroom facilities are shared for some rooms they were always clean, no matter what time of the day or night they were being used. I also appreciated that the breakfast was not self-serve (for my own health and safety reasons)and that a healthier selection of milks, breads etc were provided.

The bed-spread had stains. One of the room's beds was missing a leg.

It was good that there was a t.v. and radio available in the room and the bed was extremely comfy.

I enjoyed the peace and quiet after a hectic day doing the sites, and as a woman travelling alone I felt very safe in the hotel, as there is a good security policy when entering the hotel after 7.30pm.

It's cheap and central - if that's what you're after, it's bang on.

Decor if poor, photos are an inaccurate reflection on the hotel. Staff aren't great and the wifi is expensive and poor quality. BUT for a cheap hotel in the centre of town, it's a good option.

For money value only.

The curtain with blood stain and the bed with dust mite. It shows that the room is not proper inspect by the hotel management and the bed is too soft, may be it been use for too long.
