Although the Arubiana Inn is only about a 15-minute walk from beautiful Eagle Beach, it is not a pleasant walk, especially at night. Although I never felt unsafe, there is a fair amount of traffic along the route to Eagle Beach. You need to walk alongside the road (no sidewalks) and cross a busy four-lane road. If staying at the Arubiana Inn, you should either rent a car or be comfortable using the Arubus system.
Also, you're not supposed to flush your toilet paper. Instead, there's a covered trash can next to the toilet which is emptied daily by the staff. I didn't mind this, but others might.
Still, I recommend the Arubiana Inn.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me find a guided tour of Aruba and a snorkeling excursion, provided great recommendations about places to visit, and called cabs for me when I needed them. Without their help, my stay in Aruba would have been far less enjoyable.
The courtyard is a wonderful place to relax, especially at night.
The rooms are cleaned promptly and thoroughly every day. They are reasonably equipped but not lavish; if you're just looking for a safe, clean, and friendly place to sleep at night while you explore Aruba during the day, you'll be satisfied here, as I was.
