We wanted to be secluded, so this wasn't an issue for us, but if you are looking for something close to the tourist district, where the tours and large selection of restaurants are, then this isn't for you. You definitely want to have a car to stay here. We intended to take the bus, but that quickly became frustrating and we opted to get a car.
My sister and I stayed at Coral Reef Beach for 4 days. Our experience was better than we could have imagined. It doesn't look like much from the front, but when you walk around to the back, you find a cute little property right in the water. The room was small, but cozy and perfect for our needs. The bed was comfortable and the view from our room was AMAZING. When we walked out of the room, we had a little patio with a table, and from there you step out on to the sand. Theres a deck over the water with ladders down to the water. The water is beautiful and secluded and amazing for swimming. There are couches, chairs, and a hammock which make it great for relaxing. The staff was friendly and offered us suggestions. Hans even offered to take us out for groceries when we arrived. There is a mini fridge, coffee pot, and electric tea kettle in the room and a full service kitchen right next door. The hotel is in a quiet area, pretty far from the tourist area. It was quiet and relaxing.
