Perfect location with excellent breakfast. It takes 5 mins to get city center by walking. Very comfortable and cosy rooms. I like eveything with Fawalty Towers
* Nice rooms * Very helpful and nice personal! Helped us with the necessary invites for Visa application as well as some other Azerbaijan-specific registrations * Good location, just a couple of minutes walk to the central part of town, on a very quite street * A lot of small "local" bars and stores around * Stable wifi * Solid breakfast * A good book / dvd selection is available Overall, great value
* Not much to complain about, once we ran out of warm water in the shower * Was a bit hard to find for the taxi driver, but it was 5 am in the morning. * The neighbourhood was not the nicest one with a lot of old houses and cars taking up road and sidewalks, but took only a few minutes to get to the nicer parts of town
good location very nice design very cozy one member of the staff that greeted us was extremely friendly
the lady making breakfasts and cleaning the room was not so friendly also we had a light bulb blow up in the room fell up and break, which we reported to reception. we were promised that it will be fixed on the next day, and it was not.
Close to the Old City and the Bulvar, good staff.
The bathroom was not really clean.
Terrible breakfest They offered just bread, 1 egg, 1 piece of melted cheese and 2 pieces of tomato, without a choice. staff was doing his job as they were making me a favor. I paid damned 60 AZN for this terrible service and then found lots of better hotels for 40-50 AZN.
Excellent location, very close to Fontain Square. Very kind and polite staff, unusual "natural wood" design. We arrived at 2 A.M. apprx., Ilkin (guy from receprion) offered us to brew tea. For Baku, which is expensive enough, it's a perfect value for money!
There is no elevator, while the front staircase is narrow enough. Sure the breakfast is not as @Hilton, but for their price is OK. Anyway the breakfast is handmade for every guest!))
noisy, not clean, i consider it expensive considering what they have to offer. small rooms.
The rooms were clean and had enough space; there were shelves of books near the stairs which you could borrow and read. Overall, it was the price (compared to similar hotels), cleanliness and location which sold Fawlty Towers to us. The personnel were helpful and whilst the older gentleman didn't really speak English, he was friendly and tried to use a translation app on his mobile to communicate. First tip: you may want the hotel to arrange a taxi pick-up from the airport to the hotel because you might have the bad luck of getting a driver who doesn't know the street and could end up being lost for an hour. We paid 24 manats for the pre-arranged taxi as our flight arrived at 5.35am on FlyDubai. Our driver from Sheki unfortunately couldn't find the place when he tried to pick us up a few days later so just be aware that the location could pose a bit of a problem. Overall, the location is very convenient as it is a short walk from Fountain Square and 15-20 minutes walk to the heart of the Old Town. The hotel is very accommodating. If you have to check-out of the hotel before the time they serve breakfast, you may want to ask the receptionist the night before if they can either prepare breakfast earlier or put your breakfast in a bag to take with you.
Didn't like that the hotel was going to charge us AZN 30 as we arrived at around 7am and check-in was at 12noon. They assumed we'd use the room early and didn't book it out the night before. If they had told us by email, we could've advised them that we had a 9am walking tour and wouldn't be needing the room. We refused to accept this AZN 30 charge as we had no intention to use the room before 12noon and they never told us about it when we booked.
The staff, the central location the value for money
room on the ground floor is very noisy and we had to get moved. bathrooms are a bit small
1. Nice location - near old city. 2. Price is very friendly. 3. Very nice and cozy interior (photo by hotel are not so cozy as it is in real) 4. Hot water, wi-fi and quiet place, love it. 5. Great staff at reception. Love that staff gave us a big map, clean bathrobes and free tea, coffee and mineral water. Service is great!
1. Parking may be a problem, because there is no private parking. The hotel is located on one-way street and Baku's drivers are parking very close to each other. It was quite extreme for us.
I spent in 1 night in Fawlty Towers and liked it a lot. Special thanks to administrator Lilya for providing useful information about city and hospitality. Svetlana, Moscow
Very good location and friendly stuff
Breakfast could be better :-) but actually this is not a problem
A family hotel. Clean, comfortable... Just in the mid of the city. You may reach most of the places with 5-10 minutes walk... Also if you contact before they may pick up from u from the airport (not free of charge, but be sure maximum half price of the taxies of airport) Extra thanks to Mrs. Tamara, Mrs. Leyla and to all the staff for their hospitality.
Everything was OK but if you have so much luggage it will be better to book for the bigger rooms.
Staff's good will.
Location and neighborhood, taxi drivers can't find it ,lack of public space, narrow stairs, terrible restaurant (like an underground cell in prison).Staff does n t speak english.
Excellent location. Friendly staff.
Outside pavements and lights in a poor condition
