Hostel Gonzo

This is the staff that makes this place remarkable and unforgettable. Here the rule 'You come as a guest, you go as a friend' can be applied. Bosnian coffee, free shuttle to/from railway or bus station (and I am sure from the airport as well - I just did not need that).

Service! It had the service of a five star resort. The owners were extremely friendly and very helpful. It was a excellent experience!!!!

The personals were really hospitable and helpful. I found the price a bit high in accordance with the comfort of the room but i wa happy that i stayed there.

The owner is very authentic. We were 7 people and we had a lot of fun in the hostel. It was near the city, just 5 min with the tram. Just ask Gonzo and you will get everything. He even organise a shuttle for us to Mostar. And a shuttle to airport is naturally. We had a beautiful and funny time with gonzo. He really takes care of his guests.

The manager was really nice and helped us a lot when looking for a place to repair our car. The appartment was big with a long balcony around the building, very nice to hear the muezzin's voice in the evening and feel the climate of Sarajevo.

Not easy to find when driving without gps, but they say they can meet you on the main avenue and show you the way

The staff was friendly and helpful, including giving suggestions for places to go and helping you figure out how to get there. It's in a nice and quiet location with a calmer clientele - no drinking on the premises, which makes for a more relaxed stay if that's not your thing.

Its a bit out of the core of Sarajevo - halfway between the city and the airport, so if you want to be "in the middle of things", it's probably not your best choice.

The hospitality of the staff in this hostel was unbelievable. I had the feeling, that I know them for years, that's how friendly they were. They also helped us with any request possible, just to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I will definitely stay in this hostel next time I am visiting Sarajevo and will choose it over every 5 star hotel :)

Nothing significant... Maybe location... a hostel is out of city centre and is a bit hidden, so you could have some trouble finding it.

The hostel is located in a nice, calm and peaceful residential neighbourhood. It is a 10 minute walk to shopping centres and many other shops as well as tram and bus stations to Bascarsija and other parts of Sarajevo. If you like walking then the distance to Bascarsija is about 6 km. You can walk by the river Miljacka and at some point you will be walking in a beautiful road with trees on both sides and benches every 100 metres overlooking the river or you can choose to walk in the main road in Sarajevo and have a sightseeing of the new Sarajevo (Holiday Inn building, Avaz Tower, National and Historical Museums of BiH and much more). These two roads are parallel so you can switch between them using the sideways. The Staff at hostel Gonzo are by far the best and most friendly people I have come across in the travel industry. Fahruddin and Rifaat are very welcoming, fun to be with and have conversations with. Hostel Gonzo is in my opinion an excellent 'family' type accommodation because you feel you are at home and welcome. I would definitely go back hopefully next year or sooner. ABd.

Nothing was too much trouble, the owner and staff will do all they can to make your stay a happy one. For the price it would be hard to find a better hotel. Book without worry.

Malý pokoj a hlavně toaleta společná se sprchovým koutem, bez závěsu a na malém prostoru.

スタッフの方はみんな親切でフレンドリー。出発が朝早い列車だったので、タクシーをお願いしたら、駅まで送- ってくれました。もちろん無料。さらにお土産まで頂きました。ロケーションは旧市街から離れていますが、バ- ス103で旧市街まで簡単にいけます。ただ着いた日はタクシーのほうがいいかもしれません。金額は10マル- カくらいで駅から着けました。サラエボの住宅街にあるため、のんびり静かに過ごせます。旧市街とは違う雰囲- 気で良いです。 部屋はいろいろなタイプがあるようです。清潔です。WiFiはロービーでしかはいりません。朝ごはんも、パ- ン、デザート、チーズなど。とってもリーズナブルです。

Bardzo przyjacielska obsługa, która swoim zaangażowaniem nadrabia braki w estetyce pensjonatu. Dobry poranny posiłek. Dla podróżnych o małych wymaganiach ale ceniących autentyczne klimaty .

Gazda je bio veoma ljubazan! Dorucak je bio super! Isli bi opet.

All'inizio mi ha consegnato una stanza che direi era proprio stretta... Dopo qualche lamentela sono riuscito a farmi cambiare la stanza, più grande ma stesso stile: ostello! La pulizia non è un granchè, ma visto il prezzo molto competitivo e la posizione comoda (vicino centro comm. Otoka) posso consigliarlo a chi non pretende molto e si accontenta. Colazione sufficiente.
