Hotel Grand    

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast options were plenty and delicious. It also has a lot of parking space (I didn't need it this time, but it's good to know for the future...).

Internet in the room was not optimal - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't (I was staying on the 3rd floor). And the location of the hotel is a bit far from the city center, not really optimal for walking (about 1 hour I'd say).

Renovated, very cheap, very friendly staff. Generous breakfast buffet. Big rooms!

The food in the dinning room was okay

The wifi didn't work in my room. The hotel is not in a nice area. It's okay to get to via taxi though

It is little far from the centre of the town, but taxi is not so expencive

The staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms were best buy for the money, quiet, clean and comfortable. Hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere.

The shower was a bit leaky and the bathroom sink was a bit clogged.

I like the staff. They are kind and professional. Room was comfortable and clean. It felt cosy.

I don't like the fact that my camera (and the charger from my bag) dissapeared from the room. It was very valuable camera and also was a gift so my lost is very high. I reported my loss to the reception desk and to the manager and they didn't succeed to do anything about it. Bottom line: Hotel is nice but watch your staff.

Indoor smoking is common in Bosnia, so hotel rooms reeking of tobacco may seem a surprise to non-Balkans.

Wifi wanes in and out. Long walks to downtown.

The hotel is very close to the bus and train station, can be reached in about 10 minutes of walking (the distance is more than 100 meters). The staff was helpful, the breakfast was great. Altough we have booked our room for one night, we spent there three nights. In the room you can not hear the noise of the street and the stations.

The Grand is situated behind Sarajevo main station. There is a small treacherous footpath at the end of the platform furthest from the station building. But if you've any amount of luggage. Go outside and use a cab. They're all on a meter and it should cost between 3-5 KM ( about £1.50-£2) The hotel is obviously a former communist design. The inside reeks of this. A little dated but nonetheless clean and well appointed rooms. Large beds and air con. The hotel is a little way from old town Sarajevo. We went back to the station and you catch tram number 1 ( cost 1.8 KM) this takes you up to the road the otherside of the old town. Get a town map from the hotel and alight at the Latin Bridge. Love Sarajevo for what it is. Nice old town nice people. Not as wealthy as some cities. But full of recent history.

Decent and cheap for a night if you are passing through. Breakfast was excellent.

Although it is non smoking at the most part, yet the air-conditioning of the building bkends the smoke in to everywhere. It is not too bad at all, but you can tell.
