The location was a short walk to the old town. There was always someone at the front desk. The room was large enough for four people. The room was a little worn around the edges. The bathroom fixtures were loose and the shower leaked. The noise and light from the lobby came streaming in at night. Breakfast was free but not much to choose from (cornflakes, bread, and instant coffee).

It was great value for money. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is 2 minutes walk from the city center (uphill) and there is nothing to complain about really. Before my trip I read some comments that the hotel's breakfast was poor. It was average and enough for a morning meal. Actually, after eating the wonderful Bosnian food all day and all night, the only thing you need in the morning is a piece of bread with jam and some coffee. There was no shampoo and only some liquid soap. Luckily, there are plenty of shops nearby if you need to buy some things, or just bring your own, like any good traveler does.

Perfect location, just few minutes to Bascarija and all the amenities in Sarajevo. Very quiet quarter. Comfortable and clean rooms. Very nice staff. The breakfast is not so bad as I expected reading the comments above... Anyway, don't expect a proper continental breakfast! I just observed that there is not enough park places in the area, anyway, the staff will be the best to find a place for your car!

The hotel was very cleaned, all of the 5 rooms, and the hole hotell at all. The staff were kindly, helpfull and very polite. The breakfast was simple , but nice. The hotel was excellent for families in all ages. It was just 5 minutes for a walk to the center of the Old Town. There was å taxi station and buses near by.

location is not too bad Toilet closet was broken, fan cover was broken, next time If I go to Sarajevo again, I am sure I am not going to stay in this hotel, I don't recommend it to anyone

It's a nice hotel in a quiet residential area very close to the old town. The room was beautiful and quite spacious for one person. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.Furthermore the staff was really kind. I also liked the breakfast. Unfortunately the last night I stayed there, more than 40 pupils arrived for the weekend. They were making an awful noise for several hours. Thus I wasn't able to sleep. Maybe the hotel's owner should decide if he wants to host school classes or "normal" guests. Nevertheless I would recommend staying at Hotel Hayat, as generally I consider it to be a very good hotel.

The service overall was of very good quality, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the stuff were very helpful and the location was great. Hotel Hayat provides excellent value for money.

The parcking is not in a very good place, it's very difficult to park there. Il parcheggio non e' un granche',e' molto difficile parcheggiare li..ma in Sarajevo centro non c'e' un albergo migliore di questo anche come parcheggio. Lo consiglio a tutti!

Clean, reasonably spacious room, bed was ok, attentive staff; breakfast ok (good Turkish coffee). This is a budget hotel with very basic facilities: no chair and desk in the room are provided, smallish washbasin in the bathroom. Curtains didn't close well and the light in the corridor is visible all the night through a window -- which could have been improved easily.

The hotel has a great location. The room was nice. Overall, its great value for the price. The night shift staff wasn't too friendly (they were helpful at the end, but not too thrilled to be there). The "parking" fits 2 vehicles only, the rest of the vehicles are parked on the street in front of the hotel (and you must leave your car key with the reception desk so that they can move your car in case someone wants to leave). Quite annoying when you hear your car start in the middle of the night, at least for me. I read many negative reviews about the breakfast at this place. Compared with the breakfast you'd get even at some "high end" hotels in Bosnia, the breakfast in Hayat was bad at all.

Excellent location, uphill a little bit, 5 minute walk to turkish area, free internet access in pc at the lobby, good breakfast, brand new, good directions given by receptionists. Thank you for everything

It was clean. They ordered a taxi. It was on time, but expensive. Faulty shower door meant bathroom was wet, slippery and dangerous. Toilet operating mechanism broke, needed imaginative operation. Breakfast was limited in unnecessary ways.

Most positive aspect its the location in the old part of Sarajevo and next to most bars and pubs It is not allowed the consumption of alcohol in the Hotel and the breakfast is lousy.

Very nice hotel, I was pleasantly suprised both with the helpful staff and the location! 3min walk from the center of Bascarsija! I will probably book this hotel again. You can't get a better hotel at all for this price. The breakfast was a bit poor but simple and ok.
