Hotel Michele exceeded our expectations. The room was massive, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast quality and selection was superior. Would have personally liked to be a bit closer to old town but would still highly recommend this hotel.
Nice breakfast. Unexpected interior and close to central town. Helpful staff both in reception and at breakfast.
A bit chilly ( we were there in October)
Staff was extremely helpful and polite. One of kitchen staff even babysit our baby to give us opportunity to have peaceful breakfast. Also, beds are among best we ever slept in.
Bathrooms could benefit from some remodeling :)
Hotel was great with communications before our trip, also arranged transportation from the airport. Breakfast was excellent, the hotel staff friendly and helpful. Very convenient to Old Sarajevo, located slightly up-hill, so it was quiet. Interesting historic display in the lobby.
We had no complaints regrading our stay.
helpful staff central location character of building
access not ideal steep walk to/from city centre stray dogs roaming outside front door (this seems to be a problem in much of sarajevo)
Enough space and clean. Furniture is beautiful and grand. Location is good to centre
The bathroom door is hard to close. Breakfast is simple and not more choice but enough for me
I highly recommend, the hotel had lots of character, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and our room was great and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious!
Kerim and Mejda very helpful, informative and knowledgable about history, culture and attractions and facilities of Sarajevo. Arranged for expert guide, Vedrun, for 3 hour tour. The two kitchen staff prepared and served a wonderful breakfast and their cheerfulness was a great start to the day!
The hotel had huge beautifully furnished public areas. The breakfast was great. Our room was over 700 sq feet separate living and bedroom again beautifully furnished. The staff were very helpful.
There is a bit of a hill to reach the hotel from the old town.
Good location, very friendly staff, nice breakfast
We were in the centre of town but quiet and peaceful
The staff was great, gave us excellent recommendation for dinner on the night of our arrival. The breakfast staff was very attentive.
Proximity to town and yet pretty quiet. Staff were friendly just as we found everyone in Bosnia Herzegovina.
Judging from other reviewers we were looking forward to the large quirky bedrooms. Instead we got an awkwardly laid out twin bedded room with beds in opposite corners. That was disappointing. Also I had booked on the internet for €130 for 2 nights. Total charge taken from my credit card turned out to be €143.70.
staff location price car parking
This is a small family hotel in a quiet leafy residential neighbourhood, but only a 5-minute walk down (maybe a bit more walking up) to the pedestrian centre and to a tram stop. Room was light, airy, clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly, helpful and competent.
Bathroom was spacious, but sizeable gaps at both ends of the shower curtain made it hard to avoid some flooding. Also wash basin drained into hole in floor so if more than a small amount of water flowed down it, this too could cause some flooding.
Charming hotel with very helpful staff, good rooms and great breakfasts. Highly recommended.
Long climb uphill from town becomes tiresome but not too serious. Stray dogs in the street nearby.
Unfortunately the people are not treating their dogs well. Saw a large population of homeless dogs that seem very timid and wary of people. Apparently this has become a huge problem and the owners of this hotel are very unsympathetic to the dogs that sleep around the hotel. Also, they say they have wifi, but it rarely worked. The hot water is limited a ran out pretty quickly if more than one person showers. Our room was next to a Mosque and were woken up at 5:30am every morning by the call to prayer.
Interior design, location, helpful staff, excellent cuisine and cook was very very friendly especially to our children. She even made a cake for them :)
the luuxury room on the 4th floor at the front - 401 - is amazing. Huge balcony, extravagant and over the top decoration, massive room with a view over the neighbourhood. Really eclectic, fun and very comfortable. The lovely woman who may be the owner made us feel like friends, really helpful. She had reserved a parking space for us in the street so after the nightmare of getting to the hotel by car (it's a complicated neighbourhood - take note) we could relax and not worry about the car. Just a 10 minute walk to the old town - a great location and very quiet. The breakfast was spectacular and delicious - and healthy (good if you need a break from heavy greasy meat-laden Balkan food).
Slightly cramped bathroom for such a huge room and the shower curtain too short so water everywhere. But no big deal - it's a lovely lovely place to stay.
Don't be afraid of tiny street and no stores around, actually is reasonable location! Is very close to Cathedral (like less than 10min walking), and main street of stores, also with restaurants and pubs. Staff is very helpful and breakfast is good! The rooms are very big and hotel offer spot for parking in front of hotel.
Few negatives things: the curtain don't exactly block the room from outside in the corners of window; the water changed from very hot to very cold in middle of my bath; super low wifi signal in the rooms; and A/C wasn't very strong.
The huge top floor room. The wrought iron railed gallery and large chandelier. The bed-head mural. The massive anchor & chains hanging on the wall by the bed. The excellent position, close to the centre, but just away from the noise and crush. The helpful staff.
The rather small bathroom and tiny bath.
Unique, charming antique furniture that filled the hotel and my large hotel room. Breakfast was good. Hotel tucked away from downtown but still very close. I liked hearing call to prayer from my window.
Challenging for the taxi driver to find the first time.
A wonderful experience Everything was fine Very pleasant staff. Amazing room, great breakfast Situation excellent Space, flavour and experience of a past Sarajevo
Great hotel with kitsch character and "boutique" feeling. Easy walk (200-300m uphill) from heart of the city centre. Staff very pleasant. Washed and ironed two shirts for me "on the house". Highly recommended.
While being in central Sarajevo, the location is not on a main street, which can be a bit confusing if approaching the hotel from a different direction.
