Ocean View, Staff, 2nd floor balcony viewing the Gap was entertaining spot to sit in the evenings and watch the coming and going on the strip. Full kitchen minus a stove (bad point), was wonderful
The music is very loud when Sugar's is thumping but we knew that. Opening your patio door in the evening the sound of the surf would lesson the noise from the bar's to 3 a.m. The beds and bedding need to be updated, includes pillows. That one step would make your the experience much better at least if the music is loud you are laying in a comfortable bed with nice clean sheets that fit the bed! Kitchen was good food the 1 day we ate there, but was off putting when asked for a coffee mid day, used my cup and was charged $6 BD !
Good location and a Nice pool
You could see in the bathroom for example that everything was a bit old and needed a bit of renovation
Great Staff, Location for access great.
The Noise on the 2nd floor from across the street can be horrible from 10pm to 4am. Needed ear plugs to sleep.
Very helpful staffs, pretty nice room with seafront view, nice food, NOT noisy, perfect honeymoon for us. We loved Barbados and South Gap Hotel, highly recommended. :)
Nice view; basic, clean accomodations
It's not for someone who wants a quiet hotel - lots of loud noise late at night (what you'd probably expect from the area)
Staff were very pleasant and welcomed us with warmth. The manager's reception was nice at a sister property. Spoke with an assistant manager at length as she graduated from a top notch US university in hotel & restaurant management.
The night club across the narrow street filled the night until 3:00AM. The music & noise filled our room until then, drowning out the waves crashing on the seawall.
Excellent location, fantastic views from the rooms and a friendly atmosphere.
Can be noisy due to it's excellent location but if you close the bathroom door and open the doors to the balcony the noise disappears.
Room Overall Location Pool Restaurant Air Conditioning Patio
Bed was a little too firm for me Kitchen was a hot plate - known about Fridge was very small Steps down to room - ground floor room did not expect steps.
Hotel is right on St.Lawrence Gap, which is a convenient location. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Very close to Dover Beach. Balcony ocean view is amazing. Free parking was great. Kitchenette was more of a kitchen with hot plates/stove, large fridge, microwave, and cooking utensils. Staff were really nice.
The hotel location is right in front of a few nightclubs so you can definitely hear the music from 9pm-3am. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.
What a wonderful experience, I could not ask for better service and or comfort. I had to be relocated to another hotel but it was a wonderful experience
Location Staff Country
Noise levels at times The mattress needs to be turned for new comfort New pillows needed as they were lumpy and gave me neck ache
The staff are friendly and helpful. The balcony overlooking the ocean is really spectacular. The food is good, it's a chill environment, and located near some really nice beaches.
Top of the list: Hal's across the street hosts late night karaoke every night during the week. On weekends, it's late night dance music, but at least it's a real band! Seriously, you need earplugs here. Also, no direct beach access from this hotel.
The view from the balcony
All the noise at night!!
We arrived and all night had scrapping off chairs throughout the night. The air con was situated over the bed and was too cold with it on, but uncomfortable with it off. location is in the middle off the gap. stayed only one night and found else where to stay.
The beautiful view of the sea.
No beach access and facilities basic.
The view Parking lot Pool
Too much noise (nightclub but mainly the other guests) Wifi didn't work well
So close to everything and we were treated like family during our stay.
Wifi a little slow and music was loud at night from nightclubs across the road
Location is good.
This hotel is worn and needs refurbishing. There is no access to the pool and overall feeling is not nice. During our stay, there were soem issues with warm water all the time. Breakfast was expensive for what you get.
- Cleanliness, cleaning ladies even wash your dirty dishes, if you forget to do so - Front desk helps you with any tour available on the island -Very helpful night guard - Hotel's restaurant cocktail bar :) - Good location, easilly accessible public transport, night clubs, and Dover beach
- Very loud music from bars (especially karaoke bar) just across the street. Sound proof door and window glass (there is window without glass) in bathroom would help alot with the noise.
Having a private balcony with an ocean view...I could lay in bed, look through the French doors and watch the tide roll in and hear the waves crashing. There is a pool, but no beach access from the hotel, so you have to walk a short distance or catch the bus to a beach further away. The room was equipped with a kitchenette which was great for saving money on meals and afforded us the opportunity to have coffee/tea on the balcony every morning in our PJs. There is a restaurant in the hotel by the pool and late in the evening (usually after 8pm) there's a street vendor in front of the hotel that sells delicious grilled meat with sides for about $10-15 Barbados currency...there's also an ATM in the hotel parking lot.
The hotel is located in a tourist area, within walking distance of several restaurants and consequently South Gap is directly across the street from several bars with late night karaoke/bands (until 4 am).
TV and cable was poor
Location, comy rooms, friendly staff
for the cost, can't fault the hotel
The hotel is excellent as its close to every activity in the Gap as well as having a nice pool and ocean view! The staff were amazing! Rose, Partick and the Chef whom I cant remeber his name.. Its an excellent hotel..
Beautiful scenic view
New showers needed
Hotel is in the heart of everything. The hotel staff namely Rose was very accomadating and she always had a pleasant smile on her face and ready and willing to help @ anytime
