a little noisy for us late (but it was a friday night)
The location is excellent and the staff were very friendly. I had a pleasant time.
noisy from nearby bars
Very close to a great Mexican restaurant.
Room facilities in poor condition.
our room was remodeled so it is as the same as a standard room in a big hotel chain, it is clean , has everything u need and an amazing view. the staff is ok ,Monique was one that make us feel home, thank you! on thursdays nights a singer makes the difference! the guy has an very smooth and pleasent voice! congrats!
the hotel look old, the other rooms are very down, even though clean.we were very disappointed with the bad smell that came from the kitchen in the restaurant , not encourage us to be there .
I like everything
Noise from nearly night club
Great hotel, just a few steps to see, with own bar serving food and coctails.I strongly recommend for young people
The hotel was airy. Our room was beautiful, as was the view. Service was phenomenal. The floor length mirror helped in getting ready. The bathroom used space well and felt large. We loved the balcony. The kitchen saved us time and money. The location is right at the beginning of St Lawrence Gap.
Pool closes at 7 (though no one kicked us out when we were swimming after that). Michael soliciting for the hotel restaurant each night we came home.
Walking through the bar to the pool. The badgering from the bar (moonbay). The guy was persistant to the point of rudeness. The one meal we had there there was terrible. Undercooked and greasy.
Friendly stafff Views from balcony Pool
Noise at night Not the most comfortable beds
Loved the people, the location and the huge room with balcony overlooking the beach.
The pool only had a very few shaded lounge chairs.
Very beautiful location. Deluxe room is recommendable and well above the standard room.
Slow Internet at times. Bills in the restaurant cannot be billed on the room. Both seem to be different in ownership.
We loved the view from our balcony and the availability of the choice of restaurants in the area. Inspite of the negative comments it is still good value for money in Barbados.
Although kept very clean the property could do with some renovating. The beds were clean but not very comfy and the bedspreads should be replaced.
I like the lively atmosphere of 'The Gap'. I actually prefer it to the 'posh' and super-expensive West Coast. I didn't find the latish music too intrusive although what was put out on the hotel's system was a bit repetitive. Rooms are -well- 'roomy' and have all you need including preparation of meals. Nice patio for sitting out and a nice little pool too. The wonderful warm, blue sea just a cricket-pitch throw away and a nice little sandy beach.
Decor in my room getting to show its age and the lighting together with the blue paintwork had rather a cold feel. And only a minor point: the floors are all tiled as is usual BUT the constant dragging of heavy chairs did create some frequent and horrid noises. May have come from Dining Room or other Guests.
location Staff Bar prices Food
The area was an upbeat area probably more suitable to a younger couple.
It might have been better if we stayed on an upper floor because the public rest rooms were opposite our room on the first floor which was a bit noisy.
The room was not very clean, we had trouble with toilet blocking plug getting stuck in sink in bathroom. The worse thing was the noise from the night club we are a couple that enjoy a drink and nice meal and dont mind noise till about 2am but it went on till 5 am i could see my partener going down hill as he is a builder and was desparate for a holiday after 3 days with out sleep he had to take sleeping tablets and this something he would not do . We complained several times to rec at hotel and also to the night club but to no avail. It would be nice if we can be compencated somehow ,will wait for your replie . Linda Noseley. the reason for not replying to you sooner is my sister was very ill on the return of my holiday her funeral was last friday .
location! awesome sea view very friendly and helpful staff rumpunch for free when we arrived:) free wifi and safety box comfortable rooms
There isnt anything I didnt like... Maybe the price.
noise from near by night clubs
We had a problem with the air cond and my laundry was underneath and got wet. The staff allowed me to use their washer, although they had no dryer. The bed was so uncomfortable that my back ached terribly and we couldn't stay another night. Staff moved us to South Gap. The staff were excellent. Pool and scenic view were excellent.
We're senior's , so the music going on until 2 or 3 am, did make it hard to sleep. It certainly was a 'happening' area and, if we were younger, we probably would have joined in!
The location is the best. Great staff. Large room with air con and ceiling fan. Kitchenette with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker ,everything you need. We would definately go back.
The bathroom had everything but was a little old fashioned. (but they are in the process of upgrading the rooms)
Great location, pool and servce
Nothing but it is near clubs and bars which are open late with loud music. Just an FYI
Top class customer service. Very friendly and always helpful (and I do not say this unless it is worth it). Value for money, very good sea view, decent swimming pool, walking distance to the night area, and easy transport anywhere in the islands. For me, it is the best small hotel around without paying the 5 star resort prices...
everything but the bed
the bed was a bit lumpy
