Comfy bed, great fire and mood lighting. Good breakfast and coffee too. Wine and water in room was a nice touch.
The pillows weren't that comfy(too small and not overly soft).
The B & B was very relaxed, the location was brilliant and room was really atmospheric and lovely
breakfast could have been a little earlier say from 8-10
Beautiful house, good location, lovely L'Occitanne toiletries. Really friendly hosts, and generous breakfast. Good, speedy wi-fi.
Nothing! The floor is a bit creaky and other rooms can be heard, but it is an old house and it is to be expected.
It was great location lovely accommodation made our 3 night stay great.
Great central location, spacious rooms, charming and full of character. Delicious breakfast, complimentary tea as coffee. Lovely hosts. Luxurious shower products, good quality bed sheets and towels.
The bed wasn't comfortable unfortunately, mattresses too basic and hard. And I had some bites after sleeping there, I don't know if it was Mosquitos or bed bugs? It spoilt the experience. Also, wi-fi was very patchy.
It was a lovely B&B and our hosts couldn't do enough for us
Everything here looks beautiful without the expense of a designer hotel.
This Hotel was perfectly located for exploring the city by foot. The owner was lovely and the area was clean and comfortable. Ideal :)
If I had to really nit-pick, the only thing I could think of was the lack of normal tea... but there was hot chocolate, coffee, orange and apple juices as well as a selection of flavoured teas... so only a tiny blip on an otherwise excellent stay.
Room with a view - Stunning Fantastic location Lovely breakfast Welcome host
The room was huge, tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was lovely with luxurious products. There was complimentary wine in the room. The host was very friendly. The breakfast is not to be missed. There are tea, coffee and chocolates available from the dining room 24/7. Central, walkable to anywhere within Bruges.
There is only a curtain between the bedroom and bathroom, which is fine as long as you are incredibly comfortable with your travel partner.
Great Location Friendly, helpfull staff Loft room was breathtaking, worth every penny. Great breakfast with fresh items each morning.
Only small hiccup was double bed is made of 2 singles with one being slightly higher than the other, however still a good nights sleep and nice clean, fresh bedding.
Central location Beautiful Bedrooms Great breakfast Luxury toiletries Room was nice and warm. Catered for me needing decaf coffee and my friend needing goats milk.
Couldn't get on the wifi. Would have liked to have spoken too and seen the owner more.
Everything! We stayed in the Salvador suite, the room was beautifully decorated. The mood lighting, music, luxury toiletries, fluffy towels and soft bed linen all added together made our stay very comfortable. Felt like a little piece of luxury tucked away in the corner behind the catherdral. We would not hesitate to recommend b&b 1669 to any of our friends or family.
There was nothing about this property we did not like!
Everything about this place is a dream. Close walking distance to everything and directly across the street from the St. Salvatore church. Bruges is like walking into a fairytale. We didn't want to leave the place or 1669.
comfortable, friendly, quiet, stylish but not expensive.
It took us a while to work out how to use the television - but that was probably us..
Very tasteful decor. Loved the claw foot bath, furnishings and bedinen, the whole ambiance.. Lovely breakfast room and breakfasts. Staff were very helpful. We will certainly be back on our next visit to Bruges.
Would prefer a door rather than a curtain between bedroom and bathroom.looks great but not much privacy! A couple of comfy chairs would be a great addition to the suite we stayed in. Teamaking facilities in the room would be easier than getting it from the breakfast room.
Location was very good.Booked parking for our car which was a short walk away, but it was secure for the two nights we were there.Lovely orange juice and choice of breads for breakfast. L'Occitane products in the bathroom.
The shower over the bath was awkward. We bathed instead and used the bowl provided for hair washing. Also the loft room could do with a hand rail at the top of the stairs.
An all natural feel with beamed ceiling, natural wood floor, neutral colors. Cozy yet sophisticated. A wonderful rain shower. Skylights let in fresh air and a fan was provided to keep it circulating. Breakfast was delicious with eggs made to order. A delightful hostess.
Beautiful surroundings Perfect location Perfectly clean and well presented Polite and friendly staff Comfortable Lovely little touches Very romantic Pleasant and fresh food
Needs better teabags - English breakfast or equivalent rather than all flavoured teas Needs to provide fresh milk for tea/coffee rather than milk sachets Needs larger glasses to take a drink to bed in the evening - all very small glasses meant several trips downstairs in the evening.
The room in the attic was spectacular. The staff was very helpful as well.
The 1669 House in Bruges was in a beautifully restored building next to the St Savoir Cathedral. We loved all the natural fabrics, bedding and fluffy towels; the l'occitane bath products were a lovely touch also. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet for a great sleep. Our room had complimentary bottled water and a small bottle of wine. The breakfast was delicious and included yogurt and fruit, granola, bread and jam, sliced ham and cheese and croissants. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a real treat and we had access to an espresso machine and hot water for tea at all times. Caroline was very accommodating with our arrival and departure times and stored our luggage so we did not have to drag it around with us before heading to the train station.
We did not get wifi in our room and only sporadically in the breakfast room, but to be fair, we did not ask for help with it either. And just a warning- the stairs to the loft room are fairly small and difficult with a large bag. Otherwise, it is fabulous!
Room size and lication.
No parking although nearby car park at 8.5 euros a night.
The location was ideal, the room and comforts, the great breakfast, and the lovely family running the B & B.
We stayed in the 'Secret Suite' on the 1st floor. The room was very large, clean, comfortable with a large bathroom which had a 2 person bathtub that had claws for feet. The hosts were terrific offering us directions and bikes to get around. The B&B is 10 minutes from the train station and was very central for our needs. I highly recommend this B&B.
Location, cleanliness, comfort, space, roll top bath, large shower, breakfast choice and quality, mood lighting and music
