It was perfectly situated on the sight of the battle which was my reason for visiting and the restaurant was excellent Room was a bit pokey but it was the cheapest. They could have made more of their location and provided more information on the area |

All staff were all polite & helpful Reception staff had good level of spoken English unique position within the area of Waterloo battle and themed rooms, was a factor in deciding to stay at Hotel 1815 Breakfasts were of a good quality - 'continental' table. The restaurant served good quality food and was well attended, with a lively atmosphere. I felt with just 2 staff working in the Restaurant,in the evening, service was a little delayed by their having to attend to so many tables. |

For visitors to Waterloo, the location of the hotel was excellent. Our room, although located on fairly busy highway (we did not notice traffic noise during the night and we had the window open), had an excellent view of the battlefield and was within a very comfortable walking distance to the battle sites, tourist center and restaurants. The young man at the desk was very helpfull in restoring hot water to the room. |

The hotel is close to the Brussels Ring Road R0 and is very near to the 'Butte de Lion' Battle of Waterloo memorial. Good location if you are in transit by car, not easy to reach by public transport. Bathroom with ample space..Very friendly and helpfull staff. Simple, adequate breakfast, nice ham omelet. The hotel was not easy to find in the evening, as the hotel entrance is at the back behind the restaurant. Better posting on the road would help. Belgacom Wifi in the room, but activation requires scratchcard and SMS message. Ipass WiFi access would be nice. Not enough power sockets, it was either TV or Notebook charger. Minibar, but no Coffee/Tea maker. The carpeting in the corridors really needs cleaning. You need to ask for a room with a view if that's what you come for. |

Le Hotel 1815 is ideally suited for anyone wishing to visit the waterloo battlefield, situated just behind the crossroads/elm tree of wellington's position. Some of the staff were most unfriendly towards tourists. |

Food in resturant was excelent. free music, friendly staff. On noisy road junction, had to keep window shut that then made room stuffy. |

The close proximity to Waterloo battlefield-The management happened to find out that this was my birthday, so a complimentary bottle of wine was placed in our room, whilst we were out-At breakfast the staff could not have been friendlier-We intend to re-visit many more times-many thanks Only that it should not have been built on such an historic site!! |
