Our second stay here was as good as the first. Natalie and her team were as friendly and helpful as before. The breakfast is excellant and this is a great location for watching the pro cycling races

The cold wind, but nothing we could do about that

Good location in De Panne, situated in the Square. Very modern decoration. Clean bathroom.

Breakfast is extra at 5€. When I checked in, I asked if it was a hot buffet, and lady said yes. In fact, the only 'warm' option was some kind of cheesy scrambled egg, which went cold the instant you put on your plate, as they were cold. Otherwise, it was just the usual continental affair. Due to lack of carpets in hotel and rooms, it was quite noisy and everything echoed. My room (13) had an interconnecting door with the adjacent room, which didn't help. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you look forward to a peaceful nights sleep, especially in the summer, with all the bars in the vicinity.

The staff is extremly nice and the whole hotel seems to be run with a lot of love and enthusiasm. Highly recommandable place for short stay and I guess for holidays, too.

It is a no nonsense place. De Panne is an odd place. It opens up at 9 am and closes at 8 pm. It's like a giant rest home!

No on site parking if you dont fine any free spaces it could be expensive

The room and bedding were spotless!

A bit quirky, typically a small family run Belgium hotel. Clean, free parking down the street (out of the charge parking zone) a 100 metres away. Beds comfortable, excellent shower, large balcony with table and sunbeds but with view over the back but it is in a city/ town centre so its what to expect. A bit bijou but adds to its charm. No complaints.

Central location overlooking busy market square. Pleasant staff. Comfortable and clean room.

The personal is very kind.

One bad point. There is no fridge in the Room even in the LUXE room. The wether was very hot. Normaly in a good hotel you have always a fridge in the room. The breakfast was also very poor.

Location made it ideal for getting out and about in Belgium. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice. The rear terrace was a pleasant place to sit and read a book. The air conditioning made it possible to sleep comfortably during a very hot spell of weather. We would definitely go back again if we were in the area.

Being British, the only thing it lacked was the ability to make a cup of tea in the room. Apart from that there was everything we needed.

This centrally located hotel with friendly atmosphere was comfortable and modern.

A lovely hotel in a prime position in De Panne with plenty of free on road parking nearby, as has been said before the Market Square car park is €30 a day but €1 per 50 minutes up to 2 hours which is plenty of time to check in. I booked a twin room for single use and although a small room it was well designed and very comfortable with table and 2 chairs overlooking the Market Square with complimentary bottle of water and cookie. Usefully there were three sockets in the room to enable mobile & laptop charging and travel kettle (as is usual no tea making facilities in room) without swapping plugs, good Wi-Fi signal as well. Breakfast was more than adequate with very drinkable coffee. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and although I did get a last minute special price I would have been happy to pay full price. I visit De Panne 2-3 times a year and will certainly stay at Hotel Aan Zee again.

We liked everything from the word go. Prime position in the town with a view over the square, gave us a great chance to watch the proceedings for the De Panne pro cycling, which was the purpose of our visit. Although it was all happening under our window we did not hear it and were not disturbed. Amazing to watch how organised and efficently the whole thing was set up and dismantled. Our bikes were kept safely in the terrace at the back of the hotel - a great sun trap. The room was spotless, beds very comfortable. The heating was instant if required. Once our toilet wouldn't flush, but this was fixed in the time we had breakfast. The soap in the shower was replenished as soon as it ran out. We couldn't fault anything. Breakfast was very good, lovely breads and pastries, usual cold meats and cheeses, eggs as you liked. Had enough on our last day to keep us going till we got home in the evening. Parking wasn't a problem in nearby road. Natalie was very helpful, all the staff were very friendly and efficient Great location for the beach, shops, tram Can't wait to go back

Hotel Aan Zee is located in the main square which makes a very pleasant setting, lots of shops and bistros around the square so you will be spoit for choice! The staff were very helpful with local knowledge and information on our arrival. The hotel is decorated in a unique and tasteful way, its kept clean and tidy with nothing being to much trouble for the staff. The stairs are a bit steep and awkward but with a very good lift this need not be a problem for anyone. We used the hotel as a base to visit the WW1 cemetries and battlefields so it was an ideal location for this. We would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a simular trip and we plan to return in the future.

De Panne zelf: winkels gesloten, geen sfeer.

La gentillesse du personnel et spécialement celle de la proprietaire. Le confort de la literie. La situation proche de la plage et des commerces. Le petit déjeuner est excellent avec un bon choix de pains, confitures, fromage et viandes etc..., je reviendrai :-)

Goed hotelletje. Op de markt. Op zaterdagmorgen vroeg wakker door marktkramers die beginnen te werken maar geen probleem. Goed ontbijt, vriendelijk onthaal. Gezellige drukte, in de ontbijtruimte kan iedereen komen ontbijten of een koffietje komen drinken. Heel vriendelijke gastvrouw. Propere kamer, klein maar goed genoeg voor ons.

Niets. Minpuntje: Als je van 1ste verdieping de trap neemt, toch goed uitkijken met kinderen... trap begint heel dichtbij deuropening. Dit is niet zo veilig maar je kan de lift nemen, dan is er geen probleem.
