Bed comfort, staff friendleness as well as availabe bikes to use within the charming city. Parking garage is also close to the hotel but needs pre-reservation with the hotel since they have few parking spots allocated for the hotel.
If I have to give at all a negative point it would be the location is10 minutes away (walking distance) from the Market Place (right at the city center).
Very helpful owner & staff which makes the place . Convenient enough without being too near the crowds . Fair value . The friendly atmosphere is the principal advantage .
The limitations space-wise in the public areas especially the breakfast room does make the place appear cramped . The pleasant people & atmosphere compensate as the peak time at breakfast with close seating and multiple feeders competing at the buffet made it the least relaxing breakfast out of the 4 places we stayed at during a week of travel in Belgium & France . The physical constraints of the property itself as to breakfast arrangements and even accommodation cannot be changed but rather that than a soul-less formulaic chain hotel !
The staff were great, helpful & full of information. The breakfast was excellent. The setting was lovely & it was so easy to visit all the sights of Bruges
Would have been good to have a fridge in the room - otherwise no problems
Nice room in a great hotel. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great. A short walk to town.
Excellent location overlooking canal on edge of old town, easy walk to everywhere. Underground car park close to hotel. Staff friendly, helpful. Upgraded room free of charge as a better one was free.Nice breakfast.Very attractive old building, inside and out
Can't think of anything at all!
Staff was friendly and helpful Facilities were fine, especially washing could be done on premises and free ironing. The location was good, but not right in the centre. The room was quiet but for the next room noisy neighbours. Breakfast was plentiful and healthy.
Low water pressure. Could not use the shower properly and it took half an hour to fill the tub, so that was too slow for a traveller.
Located just out of the center- so very convenient yet a quiet area. Very helpful and attentive staff. Free bikes and WiFi. We used the bikes to explore the nearby canal which hosts five different wind mills. The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of high-quality items. Hotel Adornes made a lovely Bruges trip even better.
Here is a superb hotel in a great location for a visit to Brugges. It is within easy walking distance to all the main sites and the owners have laid on free bike hire for the wider exploration of the city. The picturesque position of the hotel is an added bonus. Reception and dining areas are light and airy and there are pleasant communal areas in the converted cellars. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was tidy and surprisingly quiet given the roadside location. The beds were really comfortable. I'd be happy to stay again.
This is going to sound picky but although I really liked the cold continental breakfast and range of options, it was the same choice every day. I guess I'm used to a 'full English' or occasional hot options. But hey it was on the continent and it was a bed and breakfast hotel so maybe I should adjust my expectations. There was lots of it and it was good quality.
Really liked that you could walk almost anywhere. Very nice, casual atmosphere in the hotel with nice breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!
Friendly staff, great location and bikes for hire.
Breakfast was superb! View of the canal from our room.
Nice location and helpful staff. Laundry facilities.
Town is not pleasant to drive in. Many bikes, people cars and one way streets. Near edge of town though, so know where you're going ahead of time.
Staff Breakfast Parking Location Wi fi
A full shower would of been nice Tea and coffee in room
Perfect hotel for a visit to brugges. Will recommend and will stay again. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Excellent !
This hotel is perfectly located along a charming canal and very close to the center of the old town. The staff really made us feel welcome and was eager to share their knowledge about Bruges, its activities, and help us with reservations. We did not use our car and left it in the hotel garage which is close by and enjoyed visiting the town with the hotel bikes.
No negative comments about Hotel Adornes.
Excellent staff & knowledge. Excellent location.
Friendly polite staff. Lovely breakfast lots of choice and plenty to eat and drink. Umbrellas and bikes available which we used. 5 min walk from main square was just lovely.
Twin beds instead of a double. Having to ask and pay extra for tea making facilities. I feel there should be this as standard based on the price we paid for the room.
Everything was amazing with the hotel. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I discovered the City with a map which was provided by the hotel. Also they sent emails including tips and suggestions about restaurants and pubs. Thanks for the amazing experience. Next time I ll be stay there again for sure!
Very good front desk reception and knowledge. Rik really made us feel welcome and the day time person, a young mom, sorry did not catch her name, was fantastic. We had a long conversation about life in Brugge and the education system there. The continental breakfast was beautiful, nutricious, abundant and homey!
Dad had trouble with the shower nozzle, high pressure got out of his hands. He ended up slipping in the shower and cutting himself on the counter. We asked for a medi-kit and eventually they did find a bandage in the kitchen but perhaps a basic first aid kit would be a good addition? It was a Sunday and the pharmacy was closed. The staff were concerned and helpful nonetheless. The slipping was an accident and no ones' fault, by the way.
Located right on the canal, with great views from the bedroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was very comfortable and cosy.
location was great. the room was clean and attractive and we included wonderful breakfasts
nice hotel, good location and helpful staff
breakfast choice quite limited
Very friendly staff and most helpful with advice on where to eat and where to visit.
We booked after reading other reviews, and we weren't dissapointed! Great location, beautifully clean rooms and staff couldn't do enough to help. Desk Staff emailed ahead with clear details as to how to get there by bus, and gave us a full welcome with a smile, discount passes and restaurant and bar recommendations. Breakfast was served in a delightful dining room with a beautiful open fire, and was substantial enough to keep us going until the afternoon! We had to leave the hotel at 6am to catch our return flight, and staff were an invaluable help in booking taxis, helping to arrange train tickets and even making sure we had a decent breakfast before we left. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough!
Our topfloor room was massive with a great view over the canals and rooftops. Staff very helpful with tips for eating, drinking and things to do. Free bikes to borrow a great bonus.
Would have liked more comfy seating in the bedroom.
