The staff reacted well to the issue eventually coming up to let me in with the master key. I hope they solve the problem because many folk would react very much more negatively than me.
An otherwise pleasant stay was spoiled by constant problems with my swipe door key failing to work. It was not much fun, at the end of a hard working day, to be hassled running up and down stairs to resolve the problem when I badly wanted a shower and some chill out time.
Located near the centre
the structure of the room was very uncomfortable, they didnt had the separate bathroom and had one inside the room that too without the curtains where it is very uncomfortable for one to have bath. Also the flush for the common toilet was not working, Wifi was really very poor. To summarize, would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Price was good.
If you are travelling with a family it might not be comportable and you might think the area is a bit wierd.
friendly staff, good location, value for money
water level in shower getting high during shower making me uncomfortable
I originally booked because it was cheap and I was on a tight budget. The website also said there would be no booking fee. The same day the money came off my account in full. I didn't really mind because it was one less thing to pay for while I was on my trip. However when I got to the hotel they told me I had to pay again and that the fee that came off was a fee in case I never showed up. They said this money would be returned into my account. Two days later I am still waiting. This is not right.
The price was low for Brussel but it might be possible to find, in a 20-30 km radius, a cheaper and better hotel and the commute fare to bring the price to 50 eur. An older staff member was very keen to help me and it was very useful.
The dampness and its tipical smell, The smell of cooked food on the basement hallway.
close to railway station helpful staff
The value for money was good. The bed was confortable and the staff helpful.
The shower faucet kept on losing water all night long. We had to cover it with a towel to fix the noise.
The location was OK and the internet connection was good enough
The moment I stepped in they told me that my booking was arranged to another hotel, which also has the same owner. I refused to go away so they had to rearrange my booking to Albrego. I told them in such cases they shall send e-mails, and I was told that in such cases people cancel their reservations thus they do not send any notification. We have not payed for breakfast (7€) which was an excellent choice. I have seen the buffet and was very very weak. One evening the whole hotel was smelling as deep frying oil and was very noisy - children shouting and screaming, I assume the hotel workers had a gathering. The hotel was very dirty, most of the furniture was very old, and it was not comfortable at all. My room could not be locked from inside.
Very good location, city center can be easity reached by feet.
Our bathroom needed total renovation.
The location was good
Got a basement room which smells. This is the worst room you can get in any HOTEL!
Excellent place to sleep after a night out in brussels.
location: close to subway and train station. I was there last week and complained about the noise. This week however room (a different one) was on the contrary very quiet.
door of my room was stuck and had to be slammed to be closed shut. I reported this on a Tuesday. When I checked out next Friday nothing had been done about it.
The smell in the room
They have put fake pictures on booking.com. One of the worst hotels i have been to. No lifts, poor hygiene and horrible service. Cracked and dirty ceilings, no indoor lighting. The list goes on. I wouldn't recommend this hotel even for my worst enemy.
Quality/Price excellent.Very kind staff. Very close to train station.
location, close to train and subway station.
very noisy. staff is apparently in the habit of calling at each other across different rooms, often late at night.
ı like only, staff was so polite.
hotel surrounding looks like so dangerous so ı felt uncomfortable while reaching hotel.
After checking out on the last day we were allowed to keep our suitcases in a locked closet for the day, so that we could come back later and pick them up again before the flight out.
We had the top floor rooms and to get there we had to go up NINE flights of stairs. The stairs were very narrow and very steep and I really struggled getting up there with my luggage on the first day. Also on the first day the hotel tried to move me to another location in another hotel due to 'refurbishing' . I was allowed to stay however once i put my foot down. If there is refurbishing why allow us to book the hotel to begin with? and why not contact us to say we have been moved?? Not great.
The reason I booked this hotel was based on location only! And there wasn't much availability, If you are looking for quality this is not the place for you! The location is very close to the Centre of Brussels. Close to shops, bars and restaurants with a train station close by.
The hotel room was cold and smelly. The bedding was incredibly old and molly. Internet connection very slow. Very dark and dangerous stairs. The windows kept opening not secure I complained about it and nothing was done. I didn't leave my valuables there I packed my ipad ect in my back pack! Every time I came back the windows were opened!! They couldn't lock. Horrible experience there!
Perfect location and staff were really helpful and friendly.
Maybe a new shower door.
Free Wi-Fi Location not too far from the centre
Very Dirty Damp Some staff members rude Stuff in the hallway - impossible to get round/tripping hazard Thin floors - Sounded like someone was moving furniture for hours between 2-4am
Only that you can leave the room at 12
Hi, I slept three night in this hotel and I suggest you to never make that decision. Our room were a source of basement with Windows yes but without the possibility to open them. The shower was dirty and the smell of the bathroom was one of the worst I ever smelt before. It is better sleept in the Botanique Park instead of the hotel!
good location, good prices, basic but adequate breakfast
window would not close, could do some better maintenance
