Staff ALL very welcoming and friendly, nothing to much trouble, I am disabled and the room's we have had have been well designed for disabled and able bodied guests, they are ready to give advise if you ask but don't push, Breakfast is Buffett and they keep it well stocked plenty of choice for all. This our second visit to this hotel and we aim to return next year.
excellent location/staff friendly and helpful/good value
very little, just maybe:- a hot item would be nice in the otherwise excellent buffet breakfast choice. liquid milk rather than powdered creamer would be good in the room teatrays.
A really nice friendly family run hotel in an excellent location.
We liked the location, very close to everything of interest in Ypres. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We had virtually no sleep as the rooms were not well insulated and when the people in the room next door decided to have a shower at 6.30am it felt like we were in there with them. Also lots of slamming doors and people talking all through the night.
The staff were knowledgable and friendly. Off road free parking around the corner. Breakfast had a good choice and plentiful.
Great location near main square and the Menin Gate. Friendly staff. Vegemite at the breakfast table.
The greeting on our arrival was very friendly and helpful, the car park is a little walk away but secured at night and the room we had was excellent. Breakfast was good and the price was a bargain. We would stay here again.
The location The cleanliness The WIFI The town of Ypres
Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, comfortable and quiet room. Huge bathroom. All spotless. Comfortable bed and air conditioning. Breakfast was terrific with freshly cut fruit and plenty of choice. The best hotel we have stayed at in 3 weeks of travel around France. Would definitely return.
Parking a bit of a fiddle in a street around the back but will be fixed soon as the rear hotel entrance is linked to the carpark.
Rooms clean and breakfast was nice. Good location to centre of Ypres.
Made a booking for 4 rooms last April for a stay at end of August yet when we checked in we received 4 rooms one on each level of the hotel. One of the rooms was on its own down a narrow stairs and it felt like we were miles away from the other guests. Requested to change room to be nearer our children but were not accomodating. Were told we should have requested rooms together.... never had to do this in a hotel before when booked a number of rooms at the one time.
From the moment we arrived we were given every help and advice to make our stay enjoyable Even made a good cup of tea and lent umbrellas when it rained Well done to everyone
Nothing at all
We arrived in the evening after a long motorbike ride in torrential rain. We were make to feel very welcome by the young lady running reception and the bar. We were offered free secure parking for the bikes (under cover) and then we were shown to our room (recently refurbished to a very high standard. All in all, this hotel exceeded our expectations.
The hotel is so convenient to the market square and the Menin gate and the staff are so friendly and efficient.
Room was a little dated, but nonetheless clean.
i took my 25 year old son to see what the war was all about| the hotel had loads of info on a seperate desk whitch was free for him to pick up. I llove comining to ypres and the hotel was great, I now have all the hotel details andwe are allready talking about our next trip. I visit lots of places with my harley davidson friends and we were made to feel very welcome at the Albion Hotel.
Twin beds are too small if you are abig guy
Location Charming welcome from Receptionist Breakfast
Very squeaky bed!
Location and staff
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Everything, especially the staff, fantastic hotel. Thank you!
Excellent location close to Menin Gate. Staff were extremely helpful.
Our room was a little small (late booking) quite difficult for 2 to move around in the room There is no sitting room with soft chairs
We felt very assisted and comfortable in each day we have stayed, even my father didn't speak english and their kind receptionist was willing to speak a well-spoken spanish. The bedroom was spacious, modern and very new, it looks like the hotel is being rebuilt. The breakfast was plentiful and great quality. The location is just meters away of the great place. Maybe the hotel deserves some more consideration in terms of star ratio.
The plate with room number was still drawn in a sheet, but that tells you about the things which have to be installed in order to finish the whole rebuilding itself. Anyway, there's nothing to be consider as negative to me (even you are able to park your car for free and you have to know that the whole village is restricted for parking)
close to town centre, secure parking and friendly staff.
liked it all
Walking distance from everything! Good breakfast spread. Hotel don't seem to advertise the sizeable free secure car parking till you get there which was a real plus!
Having a receptionist as well as someone serving breakfast would have helped so check out would then have been smoother
Proximity was great for the city centre. Rooms very spacious and clean with comfy bed. Breakfast reasonably good with a large selection for all tastes.
No cooked breakfast, could have bacon or sausage especially as there were so many English people staying in the hotel.
