Large rooms and locations
old style rooms, wifi is complicated. Building needs update, just a good place to sleep, not more.
Very spacious cosy room with big windows, very big bed, fluffy cushens, lots of space for the clothes, charming cosy restaurant where also breakfast was served. Breakfast with scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, several sorts of bread, buns, croissants, orange juice, 4 kinds of meat, 4 kinds of chease, cereals, veggies and fruit, youghurt... Really outstanding! Hotel in center of town next to historic center and shopping areas but still not noicy.
Corridors somewhat dated. But then we entered the lovely room and forgot all about it.
The room was very large and clean, the staff was very friendly and the location is perfect: right in between the main touristic centre and more upcoming social neighborhoods of Antwerp. The value for money was terrific!
We got the superior room because the troubles with their booking system. Good for us because this room was incredibly spacious and the bed was huge. Nice facilities and very clean. Good location as well.
We walked up to our room and someone was still in there. Then we received a new key to another room and again someone was still there. We got a superior room after that, which was great, but the staff seemed very confused over their booking system. Also during breakfast there seemed to be an overload of guests so we had to have breakfast in a very strange meeting room separated from the breakfast area. A matter of too many guests, too little space ofcourse but it was a weird solution.
Windows without isolation to noise. Cold.
Very near the City Centre. Room and bathroom with plenty of space and very clean. Very quiet. Staff supporting laundry and meals were very nice.
Lousy WiFi in the room (we had to go down to the lobby to check e-mails). Blankets in beds rather small. Reception staff could have been less "rigid" when we had to change plans due to illness. Desktop computer in the lobby was simply not able to access the internet.
The view from my room, the room itself, the bathroom, the bed and the mini bar.
When you are in the higher floor, the internet conection is poor, i have to sit near the door:(. The elevator and the gordyn in my room
comfortable room location
wifi did not work from our room
Beds not so comfortable, small breakfast room
Very clean and modern look hotel located in a quiet street in the middle of the city. The included breakfast was excellent and the employees were friendly.
Employees were eager to clean the hotel at early hours, knocking on the room to see if you were in your room. The 2 person beds consisted of two easily moving single beds and could not be fixed together.
Love the breakfast there, the room, the beds are very comfortable, helpful and friendly staffs, good location to the city center
Wifi will disconnect automatically very often
- excellent restaurant - highly recommended, great food and nice staff - I got a fantastic room - really big and with lots of amenities (not sure if you can usually expect that and how the other rooms look like) - really good location (walking distance from the station and right in the centre)
Breakfast was a bit of a mess - paying extra for a simple cappuccino when you pay already EUR 15 for the breakfast (in the end they offered it, so it was okay for me but just the principle is strange)? Also, the online booking offered breakfast for EUR 20, on the spot it was EUR 15. Of course it was a positive surprise, but I would have felt slightly cheated if I had already paid it when booking the hotel. Not very transparent.
I liked the true 70's look of the hotel. The superior room is huge and breakfast was quite nice. The location close to the market is great. and there is a parking garage is just around the corner (costs 13,50 with a discount from the hotel).
We booked a superior room, but they first put us in a standard room and only gave us the right room when we complained about it. There were some hairs from previous guests in the bath.
location size of rooms size of bathrooms free wifi location of car parking staff were pleasant
noise at night from streets outside made it very diifcult to get a good nights sleep - windows need refurbishing - rooms to hot beds not that comfy
Its very nice hotal in excellent location and the breakfast is very nice and the rooms are quite big
Need soom repairs and new things and theres a loud noise cooming from the parking view said its sounds like under ground subway but am not sure
Helpfulness and attitude of all the staff that I encountered. At the right price I would happily stay here again if in Antwerp.
I drove and the only realistic parking option is a costly car park next door. To be fair the hotel does not hide that when you book and they do arrange a discount for residents. I also think for a 4 star hotel I would expect some sort of fitness room or pool.
The location of the Hotel is perfect. Very close to the Meir (shopping street) who brings you to the “Grote Markt” or in the other direction to the Central Station. Al the other things you should see in Antwerp are in between these 2 point or around. Having a separate toilet from bathroom was a plus for the room!
The Hotel was good but that’s the standard for having 4 stars. If I then rate it on a scale of 4 star hotels it’s just average, nothing special.
Location is grate. Silence area and still close to center. Breakfast was great. Helpful staff
Broken wall(and repaired - poor quality), lamps not well fixed, paint out from the doors, overall you don't have the impression you are in a 4 stars hotel. Full refurbished will bring the hotel to a 4 stars standard.
Although staff could clearly see we were over sixty there was no attempt made to help with luggage. The car park at the rear of the hotel proven to be a nightmare as 30+ cars left the car park between 11pm and 12.30pm each driving over an extremely noisy ramp. The later it became the more noise people made. Fortunately staff said there had never been any complaints before - so that's alright then.
Very good value close to city centre and main sites. Excellent restaurant with good service
+ Great location + Price level + Parking close and not to expensive + Comfortable renewed rooms
- Bathroom is not refurbished so this could use an update
Spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, great central location and perfect breakfasts to start the day.
The fact that you had to login to the wifi every time you used it! The music from next door which pervaded the building until the early hours of Saturday morning, not loud enough to keep one awake but a presence.
Great value for money, great location with convenient car parking, breakfast was good (albeit a bit crowded), comfortable rooms.
Lack of atmosphere; wifi tedious; elevators too small and wobbly (I got stuck in one).
Bed, we as a couple would rather have a twinbed instead of 2 single beds that were moving away from eachother all night. no option to select a choise, it was just random.
Great location as very central, good service, Nice breakfast, clean. overall good value for money.
The lifts operated with the key/card and they are so tiny. Had to find a parking nearby.
