Spacious well lit room with comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom en suite. Very friendly and helpful staff. First class location just off the main town square and just five minute walk from In Flanders Fields museum and the Menin Gate. Coffee and other hot drinks are available to buy from the breakfast bar if staff are on duty but a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities would improve an otherwise excellent hotel

We were perfectly happy with our room and the cleanliness and facilities in general. Breakfast was fine, and typical French/Belgian with nice bread, cheese, cold meats, fruit juice, boiled eggs, croissants etc. Rooms 13, 14, 15 & 16 are definitely superior. One of the couples travelling with us were given a tiny room that should really be a single. The other couple were in a room without an opening window, so only ventilation was above the door, and their radiator couldn't be turned off. The 'nearby' free parking is a good 5-10 minute walk away, but is quite safe so overall not really a problem

I have ticked City trip as there is no accurate choice. This is for the dedicated wwi enthusiast and the "In Flanders" museum & Mennin gate are within a two - five minute walk from the Alliance. For us vet's it is a must and quite moving. I was impressed by the good nature and warmth from the locals and the respect from the young. A lovely town & lovely people. The staff at our hotel were very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to provide a meal on our late arrival. If you want an excellent and good value meal I would strongly recommend the "in't Klein Stadhuis, its in the corner of the square, attached to the Cloth Hall. They emailed me an english menu and booked a table for me on line prior to our trip. The six of us all had different meals and all were excellent, also the best creme brul'ee I have ever eaten. For the hotel: the starter for our meal while excellently prepared, was a little too rich for us. The main course was very, very good and well presented. Some fruit at breakfast would be appreciated. Bed pillows a little too hard

We has a large bedroom, and bathroom, and a very good breakfast. The price we paid for this hotel compared with others close by made this hotel very good value. 2nd flights of stairs very steep.

Central location, very helpful staff especially in respect of secure parking for a motorcycle. Good breakfast and clean room. Our room was third floor twin which was roomy with private, but not en-suite bathroom (not a problem). Just glad we didn't have to use the fire escape.! For the price there was nothing not to like.

the hotel is in an ideal location with ease to the shops etc, the rates were value for money. Staff very friendly and allowed us to park our bikes in the garage, will use this hotel again. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, well done! maybe tea and coffee in the rooms, that's it nothing else.

Excellent welcome, clean room and a well stocked breakfast bar which meant that we didn't really need to buy a full lunch. Interesting and quirky Easter decorations made the hotel much better than one of a chain. Superb, central location for the city of Ieper Not so much a didn't like, but it would be good to have a kettle with tea/coffee in the room

I was part of 5 bikers who stayed at the hotel, staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean, exactly what you need after hours of travelling. A central location in Ypres, ideal for a visit to the Menin Gate Only little thing was no tea making facilities in the room which is what we are used to in the UK

It was right in the heart of Ieper, restaurants, museum and Menin Gate all within a couple of hundred yards, yet very peaceful. Spotlessly clean, with a warm welcome. Plenty of choice for breakfast from fresh baked rolls to boiled eggs and pain au chocolate.

The hotel is in a great location if your visiting in town, close to restaurants, pubs and shopping. The staff was very friendly answered all our touristy questions easily. A little noise from the road, but not much after 11 PM. There were a few stains on carpet, but other than that they were very large, clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was all we needed for our stay in Belgium. It is a five minute walk to all the local tourist attractions and a great place to explore the rest of Belgium from. The owner was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing
