Very handy to walk to everything. Quiet. Good sized room. Good value.
Nothing. All good.
Great location, helpful staff. Good 24 hr small buffet available at low cost.
Limit on free WiFi. Used up very quickly.
Location. Luggage storage.
We were in a two-level room with a spiral staircase, with the bed upstairs and bathroom downstairs. Looked cool, but was a pain. Wifi didn't work.
great location, easy access to station, comfortable room, friendly staff. Self Service food and drink is unusual but worked well.
Wi fi is a bit quirky.
Young staff in the reception were great, helpful, and polite. 24 hours self service cafe/bar is good.
The old man with glasses in the reception was rude.
It is right in the center of the City. Not far from Central Station.Very close to little Delirium and Grote Market.
First - the location is great. A stonethrow from the Grand Plais, but the windows are directed to the silent patio, so it's silent in the room, sometimes in the night you can hear the shouts from the street, but it's always the price for central acomodation. In comparance to many other hotels in the city center this one provide a possibility to find yourself in calm place without hearing other tourists have fun, while you are trying to sleep. The room is relatively spacious, beds are comfortable, but for my taste too soft. The breakfest system they have is interesting, we used it additionally to some products, bought in supermarket. For 1 e you can get a tea or coffee, croissants and youghurt are also for 1 e, it's possible to construct your own breakfest menu.
It could've been more clean in the bathroom. I noticed a small dead flee on the wall, as we arrived, and it was steel there, when we left, after 3! days, when the room was cleaned. there were also stains on the bath curtain. This curtain has very specific and extremely incomfortable system and the bathrom is all wet after the shower.
Minutes walk away from Gare Centrale and Grand Place the Alma is very convenient. Modern clean décor and no fuss attitude to visitors - very friendly. There is 24 hour access to a Grab and Stay [may have been an equally unmemorable name] which is a self serve buffet for sandwiches, hot drinks beer and much more. It's all done on a trust basis with a stamp card. It was a definite bonus late at night - drinks etc. could be taken up to the rooms - and the breakfast options were good too. Decaff coffee at all times - what a treat! Very efficient staff throughout. Room surprisingly quiet with little other room / guest noise audible.
The wi fi was slow and pretty useless. The air conditioning could be switched on and off for individual rooms from reception - but nobody told us that and we thought the drop in outside temperature had triggered the off for the system.
The location especially as we were there for one night. We were able to find the iconic tourist sights and it was a short hop to the railway station.lots of restaurants and bars close by.
The hotel was just acollection of rooms it had no atmosphere and not even a friendly communal breakfast .It was self service taken to another level. We were issued with a card to stamp each item we chose and then presumably charged per item.We chose to find a local cafe instead.
The location was great! A couple of minutes walking to the center. And the staff were really nice, a lot of restaurants near the hotel. We had three rooms, two connected with stairs and one separate. I would recommend families to get the connected rooms, great idea to add the stairs. Wifi is definitely a plus.
It really bothered me that sometimes the internet becomes very slow! And its a little hard to find the hotel if you arrived at night. Also, I had a little problem with my reservation, where when I wanted to check in they told me that the hotel is full!! But they found other rooms for me and charged me 120 euros for two nights for an extra room! :\
kind staff and clean room. using free wifi located on very close to square.
OK walk to the rail station. Close to the main square, bars, attractions. Nice staff and decent breakfast options. Pretty big rooms as well.
Location location location!!!!
The system that is in place for the tea, coffee and food is bad. You can't save the milk you buy, you have to use it all because there isn't a fridge in the room. The food quality in the hotel is bad, although it is only sandwiches.
The room was underground and very bad smelled. Let the window open does not improve and additionally high level noise was listened from the street.
Сonvenient location. Very close at Central Railway Station.
Not book a taxi at the reception !!! Go to the airport about 15 minutes and costs 50 Euro's! The hotel uses the services of private companies rather than a taxi! Card can not pay! Car without a license! Driver without license !!! The noise at night from the street. Uncomfortable breakfasts - should be put on paper printing and consider how much you have to pay.
Such a great location that the negatives are outweighed. Step out of the door and you are in the centre.
Parking difficult and expensive. Wifi charged or very limited free service. Noisy at night due to central location.
Location, clean and nice room, quietness while being in such a central location
No free internet in the room
Great location & Spanish receptionist is so helpful & kind.
Right in the heart of everything. Grand Place is a few minutes away. Great view on the 5th floor (503). Double bed was comfy and shower had good hot water and pressure. No problems with the free wifi.
Access to bathroom is down a very narrow spiral staircase which I could see causing problems for people. A bit of noise at night, but nothing too bad given the area - I mostly slept ok.
location / staff/ size of room
noisy winos round Grand Place shouting early hours.(nothing to do with the hotel, just location and lack of Police action)
We recently spent a night at this hotel, on our way to Bruges. The staff was very nice and the location is excellent (our room had a great view of the city hall). The room was a bit small, but comfortable, although a bit odd - a spiral staircase led to the bathroom, located in a lower floor. Nice TV. They had a 24-hour snack service, reasonably priced. Breakfast works the same way (although we didn't make use of it). For a longer stay, I would probably choose another hotel. But for 1-2 nights, I think this is quite good. Plus, we got a very cheap rate (less than 70 EUR for the night).
The location could not have been better, very close to the tourist quarter and the Central Station. The reception staff were helpful especially Marc who was very bright and cheerful. The rooms were clean, tidy and functional..Midweek prices represented good value for money.
On account of the central location it was a little noisy on a Saturday night.
Great location, pleasant and helpful staff, reasonably quiet for its location
Location, excellent coordinates next to the Square, and central station.
Staff charged me an upgrade fee immediatly...
Location was brilliant, and one older female staff member was very friendly and helpful and offered to keep our bags at the hotel for the day after checking out.
WiFi largely inexistent, majority of staff pretty rude and unhelpful.
