“There was a chocolate fountain at the buffet breakfast table. Also the room was incredibly cosy and lovely.”
Jenny,

Located 5 minutes away from the center of Bruges, this small bed and breakfast, overlooking the English monastery, offers a cozy atmosphere with easy access to the main sights of the city. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, the house was built in 1830 for an English officer of the royal guard. Today it houses comfortable and spacious rooms that are the ideal base for exploring the historic center of Bruges. Breakfast buffet is served in a private room. The owner is superb!! She's real helpful. She prepared everything for the travellers and gave good information. You don't need to buy map of the city. There are everything you need in the room includes the map with the route that she already made the direction on it. This place is opposite the church and not hard to find it. The breakfast was so perfect with the chocolate fountain and real good taste. Actually,Bruge is small city and you can walk easily. So the location here is quite good!! Wanna go back again! Nothing!! Love everything there!

The place was well maintained and the Christmas decoration in the dinning room was awesome. We choose the place because we needed a parking spot. The b&b is on the edge of the city about a 20 min walk to the town area. Overall we are quite satisfy with our stay.

The hostess was very friendly; she showed us to our room and had a map ready with the main routes to get to the bell tower/market. The room had a nice view of a courtyard in the back. The bathtub was nice and big. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good- breads, croissants, muesli, yogurt, juice, and a chocolate fountain with fruit. She also made fresh eggs for us. The room was very hot. I didn't think it was necessary to have the heating on since the weather was quite nice and the window was shut anyway. She could have shown us how the heater worked instead of having it on when we got there. Make sure to bring your own toiletries because there wasn't much in terms of soap, just a couple of small bars and sample sized shampoo. The pillows were flat, so it would have been nice to have two instead of one for the side sleepers.

Great location on the edge of city center, what makes it a quiet and peaceful place with possibility to park a car and to easily walk to the very heart of the city following some beautiful streets and buildings. The room was good-looking but relatively small. The breakfast is quite usual and still nice.

The host was very accommodating. We called in advance to let her know we would be arriving rather late. This wan't a problem. She met us at the door when we arrived and gave us a parking pass for the car. I had some problems connecting to the WiFi. I told her and it was fixed when we returned in the afternoon. The one draw back was that the host seemed rather sad. She was kind, helpful, and had an air of sadness. I have no idea what the cause may have been.

What a lovely, comfortable guest house. From the chocolate fountain with fresh fruit for breakfast and the constant hot water and regular clean towels, the Officer's House gave us a perfect base from which to explore wonderful Bruges. Near the windmill and two excellent pubs for food, we were far enough from the town centre for peace but near enough to explore it all. An excellent choice.

From the first contact with the owner (Marie Christine) till the end of our two nights accomodation at this B&B, my friend and me received a very good service and she gave us some good pieces of advice about our stay and things we could do in Brugge and we were glad to take all them in consideration. It would be even better if the room had air-condition because as we had been during summer, it was hot inside room so we had to open windows and there were some flies that came into and bited us so here is an idea for Marie Christine to improve her B&B.

B&B carino, pulito e ben organizzato. Le lenzuola profumavano di bucato fatto in casa, i letti comodi e i cuscini ad altezza corretta hanno evitato il torcicollo. Buona doccia, bagno dignitoso e pulito. Vicinissimi i mulini a vento.
