Hotel Antigone  

Great location for exploring old Antwerp and the Museum and old dock area.

We thought the hotel car parking although convenient was a bit expensive.

The hotel is located very close to the Cathedral and overlooking the riverside. It is a short walk to many of the sites and the Tourism office by the Cathedral. The tram stops there as well if you prefer the scenic route through town. The staff at the hotel are brilliant. Cosy family feel and amazing fresh food served at breakfast. They also recommended a wonderful bar that serves 300 beers!

Very well located near the center and in front of the river. Parking facility 200m away along the river bank and a (small) private parking nextdoor. Nice breakfast buffet.

Room was small and a really out of date. It smelled too much of deodorant.

I like the location

They stopped the heating only in our room and they didn't tell us. Also this is a hotel they have program to the reception only until 22 o'clock. The hotel parking was very expensive in comparison with the public parking

I love the Hotel Antigone! And will try to stay here again the next time I'm in Antwerp. I love it simply because it feels like home. It's not a traditional overly luxurious room but simply a comfortable place where the services is great and I felt as if I were staying with a friend while on vacation. I stayed in one of the studios on the back of the main hotel and had plenty of privacy and space. The stairs getting up to the 3rd floor were a little tough with my big bag but nothing that a little muscle couldn't handle. The location of the hotel is perfect!!!! Typical Belgian breakfast of meats and cheese but with smiles and grace as if it was a 5 star restaurant. I will certainly stay here again....

Close to Grote Markt, two level family room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Noisy neighborhood, bathroom too small, bed was hard. TV was old crt type. wireless didnt work from room, but we were told about that beforehand.

The staff were very friendly, and was ideally situated for the christmas markets. The buffet breakfast was really nice too. We left something behind, and the staff were only too pleased to assist posting it back to us.

The beds were not very comfortable. The safe in the room did not work, but in fairness they did say we could place items of value in their safe if we wished.

We were not placed on thé main hôtel Thatcher We booked for but on a ok remote location

They had a fan in the room which helped with warm weather. The room was small but relatively clean.

The bathroom smelled very bad. I can't believe the cleaning crew did not notice it. They do not staff the desk at night so we could not complain when we returned for the day. I mentioned it the next morning and they said it was because the city was doing so much underground work on the sewers. ??? I was also charged more than their posted prices through bookings.com.

Convenient location, attitude of personnel, good equipment of the room

Great room the skylight silhouetted spires of the nearby steeple,comfortable bed,really appreciated the coffee pod machine,excellent bathroom. Helpful friendly staff ,convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. Excellent breakfast. Would stay there again.

A small thing- a fan whirred all night in the bathroom and we couldn't turn it off.there quiet was broken by it's constant buzz.

The position: in the Historical centre of Antwerp close to the river: "Schelde", also walking distance to the new museum "mas" of Antwerp. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel staff very friendly.

un hôtel agréable, très bien situé, avec un bon rapport qualité/prix pour 3 personnes. Petit déjeuner très correct!

Ondanks doorgaande weg langs het hotel is het een rustig hotel. Goed geïsoleerd. Personeel behulpzaam in wegwijs maken van de stad. Goede tips.

Prima locatie, ruime schone kamer, prachtig uitzicht over de Schelde, heerlijke badkamer en bedden en ga zo maar door. Top! Oh, en dan vergeet ik de late-check-out on Sundays :-)
