Express by Holiday Inn Antwerp City North

the location of the hotel was ideal for the purpose of my trip (diamond games at sportspaleis). the hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were efficient and helpful. good buffet breakfast.

the car parking was expensive but the security and location of the car park itself slightly helped to justify the cost.

Not expensive

They don't tell you in advance that your booking only includes in what they call a "preference" for room type. This implies they can put you in a smoking room eventhough your "preference" is non smoking.

Good bed, good shower, city centre at approx 15 minute walking distance, friendly staff.

I liked the location, it was within walking distance of the train station and the underground system.

I thought they asked too much for parking.

Coudn't see where to plug Kettle into!

Noise of building works/roadworks that started very early in the morning.......Maybe should have been warned before our stay.

The breakfast was excellent and the room was lovely. Parking was very convenient too, if a trifle expensive.

We are a young family with a two year old and being roomed next to a group of young 20-somethings who'd clearly come to Antwerp for the nightclubs was absolutely ridiculous. Common sense on the part of the hotel staff at checking-in could have avoided some unpleasant scenes. It is also a fair walk into the city centre from this hotel.
