- free parking for guest - spacy bathroom - moderate price - WiFi was reliable with acceptable speed
- parking area without proper surface, slippery and with puddles due to rain - old fashioned, small TV in the room (cathode tube) with non funtioning remote control - carpet behind the door opening would profit to be exposed to a vacuum cleaner - breakfast without buffet, prepared with one roll and one croissant, some cheese, sausage and sweet toppings, a yoghurt, cofe and orange juice served from around 8:00 to 9:30, - the Indian restaurant has been closed permanently
Our room was nicely decorated nice and clean and very spacious, we had a suite with the terrace aswell this would be lovely in the summer, the staff was very kind and helpful, hotel is a 5-10 min walk from shops and restaurants also has a tram stop right out side the hotel that takes 20 mins to get to the town centre, hotel also has free wifi with good connection
Unfortunately there was a wasp nest outside on our terrace but as we had rubbish weather this didn't bother us
I like that the hotel was clean
There is only one person in the hotel who is doing everything, it makes things difficult for him and for the guests as well.
We got a great welcome and needed an early breakfast which the hotel was happy to do for us.
I cannot think of anyting.
Bathroom (broken peices everywhere), bedroom (dust in the table and not well cleaned), breakfast(limitted choice with only bread and cheese), cleanliness, TV (broken remote), internet(dead slow).
location was ok for what i wanted.
The place was dark and gloomy. Very Dickensian!
Comfortable double bed liked the wallpaper in the dinning room free parking and wifi, room looked clean.
Hard to find (not visible sign), breakfast was offered in cold plate- directly from the fridge(!), wifi not stable, bathroom needs a renovation, kitchen does not look clean (as seen from the windows outside). Didn't feel welcomed at first but then the receptionist got friendlier. I think it is expensive for it's services but then again it is cheaper than many hotels in brussels.
i) Staff (1 person) friendly and helpful; ii) Breakfast OK (good coffee); iii) Reasonably priced
i) Finding it was difficult when driving: roadside sign says it is "Le Chevalier"; ii) Entrance to hotel (outside) very scruffy/dirty; iii) Bed a bit small; iv) Carpet in room not clean; v) Noise from trams from 05:30-00.00!!
excellent and friendly staff - good selection of breakfast (salty and sweet)
noisy and stinky room
I didn't like anything, but at the same time I didn't stay 5 but had to pay for the room) because of various negative points/safety issues.
The room were badly smelling cigarettes... Does it mean that the smoke detectors don't work???? Clearly no safety for customers? The owner was not flexible when asking to change the room - I would have had to pay extra! ? I had to pay for the room and find another hotel. The bathroom looked old - not sure it was very clean... I originally booked that hotel because there was a restaurant, but in fat it was shut as they didn't have a chef anymore...
Great place to stay for the price. Friendly staff, good breakfast, cleanliness, kettle, free wi-fi, located in the BEST district of Brusells. I think it's the best place to stay for that price.
wi-fi was not stable, not so comfortable single bed and noise from the street, which are not big problems for me.
Parking available on site and free wifi. Staff friendly.
It could do with some updating. New wall paper, paint and carpets. On arrival there was no bedding for the pull out bed, extra towels for the third guest and no toilet roll.
We had a pleasant stay. Very helpfull staff. Nice room with good beds. Comfortably close to freeway, shops and city. Decent breakfast.
Close location to tram line for easy access to city centre
Excessive road noise
The staff was friendly and very kind and helpful.
The premises are a litle dark inside.
Too much noise from the street...
The location, very well located for Uccle and close to tram stop
The service in this place was awful, nobody in reception and we had to call them on the phone, front door only works with code and thecode given to door was wrong, luckily we checked and were given a new one, parking is small muddy space next to garbage cans, the room was not cleaned during our tonight stay and was freezing cold, the breakfast was not very good and in general we just got the impression that the running of the hotel was left very much to itself, will definitely not stay here again,
Staff at reception struggled a little bit with English but it was enough to get directions and instructions. Room was ok (got a double bed for the price of a single!), nothing fancy but did the job for a one night stay. Breakfast was good considering the overall price of the stay and the lady was very nice and her english was miles superior to reception's.
The shower was slightly broken and the curtains didn't fully close which wasn't a massive problem for me as I was up early morning. It's also not walkable from the city centre (but the tram station is literally on its door step!!!)
Nothing. Do not stay here. I wouldn't stay here again if the owners paid me to do so.
Everything. No signage at front of hotel referring to Hotel Areesh only signage referred to restaurant (Le Chevalier), on very busy road, hard to find even with GPS? No concrete in their (so called) car park, only dirt, so when wet, puddles form and it is muddy. There is no lift, and very steep narrow stairwells, absolute mission if you need to cart luggage to your room. Upon arrival there were no towels in our room so we could shower; we had to ask for same - no apology given. We left the hotel to get something to eat, and the lady at the front counter failed to mention to us that they lock the entrance to the hotel and we need a code to a keypad to get back in! Accordingly, we were left out in the cold wet weather for ten minutes, I had to call a number (at my own cost at international rates) left posted at the front door only for the lady from the counter to come to the door minutes later and explain to us that she was trying to get some sleep????? Again, no inkling of an apology. On the subject of doors, I don't think I came across one door at the hotel that functioned as it was supposed to, that is, the front door always jammed, our room door always jammed, and our bathroom door only half opened. The bathroom was grotty and looked like it hasn't ever been cleaned properly. Finally, despite having booked a room with buffet breakfast included (in the restaurant), I received a phone call in my room at 9.30pm (whilst asleep) on my first night there asking that I take my breakfast in my room where there is no table or chairs so therefore i would have had to sit on my bed to eat same? I refused this request and ate breakfast in the restaurant. This place is not worth any amount that you may pay, do not stay here otherwise your experience of Brussels will be soured. I reckon the hotel side of this place is an afterthought and the restaurant is where the owners focus is...
Awesome Indian restaurant and excellent staff. Internet access was good. Bed was comfortable.
The room had a peculiar odor when I first walked in. Lighting was poor and there were stains on the wall and drapes. The bathroom tile needed cleaning. Breakfast was not very good.
The breakfast was very poor, no salami or ham. One morning I had to ask plates and knifes...
The restaurant of the hotel was nicely furnished and it was clear it was new. The room was not bad, especially the bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was included although it was quite modest, it was OK. The staff could speak English on the level that we were able to comunicate basic things.
There was strange unpleasant smell in the inside of the hotel - interestingly not in the restaurant - which actually got cought on clothes and everything. The indian "music" played during breakfast was, at least for us, inappropriate, something more subtle would be welcomed. There seemed to be lack of staff to manage the hotel/rest. in the morning. The shower in our room was not well maintained.
