This 19th-century heritage-listed building features simple yet functional rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Manneken Piss Statue is a 5-minute walk away. The personnel was at their highest! The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic - close to all the center monuments and curiosities! Nearby there are a lot of cafes, foodshops and even a bookshop at a low price! Inside the hotel is very nice, a "family" like. The breakfasts were plentiful and enough for the whole first part of the day. The most important thing was that it was very silent during the nights and even days, I could sleep without any problems! In the whole I likes the hotel a lot and would like to return there during my next visit of Bruxelles. Unfortunately, there were several points that I didn't like in the hotel, in the room. The bathtab was in the rust bleed lines that were disgusting. There were not even one hook or something for the sponge to hung and the heater was all in dust so after getting all went because of a heavy rain I didn't have anything to hung my wet stuff on! There are only one sorket - and it's in the bathroom! ыO when they gave me an iron it was like a joke because I had to iron on the floor next to the toilet. In the room the wardrobe shaked a lot nevertheless there were a lot of hangers! And there were one more detail - the TVset was wonderful but it shows only one channel with the same level of sound because the remote control didn't work at all. Hope all this breakages can be fixed very easily and the staying at the hotel will be turned into a fairytale!

The hotel staff was very helpful with me, the room was more spacious than I expected and very clean, and the wi-fi rate (20 euros per week) was to my mind reasonable (esp. given how cheap the rooms themselves were). The 7.50 euro continental breakfast was nice but far overpriced -- I recommend instead a 1 euro scone down Stalingrad at Marrakech Boulangerie. As I arrived, the person behind the desk was having a pretty heated discussion with a fellow whose reservation hadn't gone through due to issues with his credit card getting approved. A third-party internet company was involved and I don't know all the details, but I guess the moral is be cautious with online intermediaries and not to be aggressive with hotel staff. (For my part, I have little but good things to say about both Aristote and booking.com)

The hotel is located near both the centre and Gare du Midi. Hotel staff is helpful and friendly. New and surprisingly good quality TV set. Good Arabic restaurants nearby; don't miss shwarma in Friterie Stalingrad at the other end of the avenue. Uncomfortable bed: matress too hard and bed inclined in a light angle so you wake up several times on the very edge of your bed right before falling (this happened to me with two beds in different rooms). Seemed thoughtfully calculated to me by an ill-willed mastermind (a maintenance guy inspired by the Saw series?). Paper thin walls between rooms; you can hear your next door neighbour fart. They must be able to hear you too. Worn furniture, tiles, and wallpaper. My single room had a very small window (half covered by the wardrobe!) facing immediately the opposite brick wall. Large windows in double rooms though. Best choice probably if you need a cheap bed in the centre for only a few nights and aren't keen on comfort.

Bed newish mattress good comfort. Room cleanliness very good. Top floor room overlooking courtyards at back. Double glazed and extremely quiet. Warm room even when heating not activated. Room 51 disturbed by noisy lift especially in morning when loud 'break' sound at its greatest. Hot water variable depending on other usage. Too late at night and morning all used up. Basin tap badly chalked and took an age for hot water to get through. At end of stay heating came on and hot water supply much better. Little room between toilet and basin. Small shower cubicle with curtain on two sides - impossible for it not to cling to body during use. Bathroom decoration 'tired' - mildew on grouting and not tiled from floor to ceiling exposing painted breeze blocks. Plastic concertina wardrobe door with flexible connectors on 'last legs', ripped and broken at top. Bathroom radiator not working. Dirty net curtains.

I liked the support of staff Ms Juliana. Whenever I asked her of any help she tried whole-heartedly, and also she knows everything pretty well, particularly her knowledge about city transport system and city map is very helpful for visitors like me. Thanks Juliana for helping me during my stay in Brussels. Thanks the owner to have a staff like Juliana. Regards, Md Mofizul Islam

Very reasonable price. Excellent location: walking distance from Central Station and the city center. Very friendly stuff. Room is simple but fully found. Can be definitely recommended. The single shortcoming is a very small window (in fact 60x60 cm) and it looks into the recess. So the opposite wall is at one metre from the room window. Though there was an constructional opportunity to make a room window in another place...

10 walk to both Midi station and old city center. It is ideal location for someone use Eurostar. And a reception lady allows me to check-in room even at 11AM. As I was just after a long flight from Thailand, it was a big bonus for me. Room is very clean and it is perfectly acceptable for budget travellers. It looks like there is maghreb people area between hotel and Midi station. It was very interesting as I travelled around Morocco just 3 months before. Morning mint tea at "Salon de The" is very nice!

Conveniently located midway between Midi station and Grand Place, walkable to both. Locality is filled with budget eating establishments and shops. Bedroom with good view to plaza and main street, yet quiet at night and curtains block the street light well. Flat screen tv shows English movies. Bathroom requires small maintenance work, but was very clean and shower was hot and strong. 24 hour reception, with polite English- speaking staff. Good for solo budget travellers, because of price of single room. Bed was terribly hard, well beyond what is considered "firm". Bed linen was clean, but extra quilt in the wardrobe was dirty. Breakfast consisted of only cold items, not very fresh except for the croissants. Coffee from machine was awful... The milk may have gone bad. Not worth paying extra.

Nicely located, just far enough from Grand Place to appreciate the walk into the busy area. The room was a little small for two people - I would say the room was fair (but not bad).

The location of the hotel was very central. Just a 10 minute walk to the old town. Free internet use for up to 15 minutes in the lobby. The walls were paper thin. You could hear everything going on in the surrounding rooms and also the noise of traffic etc from the street. It made it quite difficult to sleep.

Quite close to Midi and Central Railway stations (7 and 15 mins, resp). Personal speaks French, English and Russian, very friendly and helpful! My room was quite small, but clean and cosy. I would recommend this hotel for 1 or 2 nights stay. Nothing to complain, I have got just what I've expected.

“The hotel was small, but really good. Firstly, it is situated in the center of Brussel (it took about 10 minutes walk to the Grand Place). Secondly, the room was really cosy (it was small, but all necessary things were there). Also the design was very cool. And the bed very comfortable. Also I can't but mention breakfast. We liked it a lot (about 4-5 types of bread, croissants, several types of cheese and hame or sausage), cereals, jam, juice, milk, cofee. And also the guy at the reception was really nice and cute :) lol” Evgeniya, Zheleznodorozhny |
