Location is superb right beside the Midi station. The decor is very pleasant and quirky with good-sized rooms. The building is tall and narrow and has nice period features including a sun terrace. Breakfast was fine with good quality ingredients if not a lot of choice.
I was on the top floor with no lift, so though I did get help with my case, people who are not so fit, should ask for a room lower down.
decoration is wonderful！it seems like in a museum or a gallery ! room is big！I really enjoy it!
Staff is very friendly. The location is perfect. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The cost is reasonable.
If your room is on the top floor and you have a 25 kg suitcase, it is a long climb up 5 flights of stairs in an un-air-conditioned building to the top of the mountain.
This is a beautifully decorated B&B, very close to the Brussels Midi/Sud/ Eurostar station. Wi-fi access was very simple - just a wi-fi password, and no silly registration web redirection. The signal was very weak on the top floor though, so I had to go down to the lounge to use it. Breakfast was good, and all served on one large table, which encouraged chat with other guests.
You wouldn't want to use this B&B if you struggle with stairs. As far as I could tell, all the rooms were upstairs. The host, and even his neighbour who let us in, were happy to help with luggage, but there's no lift, so don't go here if you struggle getting yourself upstairs.
Beautiful house, conveniently located close to the train station , perfect for early morning departure. Lovely host.
we didn't have enough time to appreciate our stay
Nice place but too expensive.
Friendly owner, and a superb property to stay.
I would stay there again.
The room was very big and decorated in a fantastic way. The whole place is like a museum. I have never been to a hotel with such vibrant and artistic atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
Some minor items for improvement: 1. The television in my room was of very poor quality. 2. There is no hotel sign. Only when you are facing the door you will see a tiny paper with the name of the place. 3. Only cash is accepted. However, these is really minor stuff. The whole experience was very positive. Go for it.
the decor and dining area
Absolutely beautiful room, exceptionally comfortable bed. Excellent location for the high-speed trains.
Firstly, I told the owners what approximate time I would arrive - as requested. I arrived 15 minutes before this, no one was home. I waited 5 minutes but as it was pouring with rain I ended up going back to the station and putting my luggage into the a locker. Also, stale croissants for breakfast, not good.
the decor, the space, the friendliness, although I remember the breakfast table had before a beautiful white linen cloth
the mattress was not comfortable
very close to the midi train station. The room is fantastic. Frederic and other two guys are really friendly. Breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty.
I was on the top floor and wifi was not easy to contact, better in the dining room.
good for everything
Everything. Frederick is an amazing host with a beautiful and well appointed home. He has a small dog too; I know many people, particularly Americans, hear small dog and they expect an annoying little thing that barks and jumps up at you, but his dog was incredibly calm and sweet. Lastly, breakfast was incredible, with chocolate croissants, an array of toasts and jams, and delicious yogurt and coffee. I will definitely be sending my friends who wish to visit Bruxelles here for years to come.
The location is by the midi train station, which can get a little sketchy late at night. This was particularly relevant to me because my friends were all at youth hostels closer to the bars and so I ended up walking back alone.
This is a truly beautiful, comfortable place, very close to the Eurostar train station. My room was large, nicely decorated, and had everything I could need. The breakfast room is also delightful, overlooking a terrace you are welcome to use. I wish I had more time to enjoy this place. The owner is also very nice and considerate. I would definitely recommend it.
Frederic, the proprietor, was cordial and friendly. Between the great art and the balconies overlooking the garden, it was an oasis in an interesting area of the city.
Frédéric is a very nice guy. You will feel welcome, and the B&B has a very nice atmosphere. Perfect location for travel from to Brussel Midi/Sud.
Direct surroundings are not worthwhile.
We had travelled by Eurostar, so the convenience of getting form the station to the house was wonderful. The owner was very friendly and helpful about where to go for a meal, what to see in Brussels etc. His house is lovely! Pity we couldn't use the outside terrace because of the weather!
Only the weather!! It rained most of the time.
Frédéric is a super nice guy. He even helped us to order prepaid SIM cards before our arrival. He really make us enjoy the stay.
Some facilities need to be replaced, for example, the shower head holder and the hair dryer handle are broken. There was spotty street noise, especially if you are staying on 1/F.
very very gooddddddddddd
A really beautiful property with a charming and gracious host.
Great room. Friendly staff.
I'd have liked to know before confirming the booking that they only accept cash as payment. As a result I had to get 100€ from a cash machine at Bruxelles Midi station in late evening, given the feeling of insecurity in the area it wasn't a very reassuring experience. Also it makes claiming back business expenses very complicated.
A gorgeous property, incredibly convenient to Midi, much better value than a hotel in Brussels
Wifi weak on the top floor bedrooms, but that wouldn't dissuade me from staying there again. Can always use it in living room.
Everything was really perfect! The B&B is closely located to Bruxelles Midi and to the city centre. Frederic is a very friendly host and who has really cared about the good interior and design of the rooms, which are clean and spaciuos. Breakfast is fresh and tasty, although it were only sweet things on the table as a German is missed cheese and cold meat.
The neighbourhood is a bit run down and it seems to be a deprived area, which is good know, but I didnt feel unsafe. The B&B is situated in an old house with noisy floors and stairs, so you strongly hear when above you someone is moving.
