There are not enough words to describe our experience! The kind and helpful owners, the cosy, comfortable and absolutely beautiful cottage, the rich breakfast, the quiet area. I would definitely recommend atlas guesthouse to everyone!
very homely, superb hosts, very imformative, very pleasant could not ask or more
having to leave
Atlas Guesthouse was the perfect retreat for us after our days in Brugge - spacious, clean, and decorated/furnished to an impeccably high standard, right down to the lovely bedside lamps and the soft oversized blanket next to the sofa, it was a real delight to stay there! The service was lovely too - we had to leave very early on the last day, so breakfast (which was delicious and plentiful) was made ready and stored in the fridge for us :) Thank you.
The Guesthouse is located a 30 minute walk from the city centre, but with the bikes and the separate bike lane, it was a pleasant 10 minute ride down.
location is good - particularly if you have a car and don't want to drive into the city centre. Amenities good - liked having the kitchen to prepare a simple meal, liked the small terrace for sitting outside on a pleasant evening.
We visited in October - and there were mosquitos! Jos warned us about them and said to keep the windows shut, but it was warm...mosquito screens on the windows would be good. We noticed visitors book had entries from quite a lot of British people. Would have been interesting to have had maybe a BBC channel on the tv - just to keep abreast of current affairs. Seating was not hugely comfortable - but appreciate it's a problem when settee is a sofa bed.
Well the breakfast was outstanding...lasted all day. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage was really lovely with a patio area. Would reccommend if you want to be outside Brugge City Centre. Centre easily accessed by car and the parking at the station was 3.50 euros for the whole day and a 5-10 minute walk to centre of Brugge. My sister and I had a lovely time at the guesthouse and the owners were very nice. The best bit was the breakfast, was brought to you and you didn't have to get dressed and go for breakfast. Privacy was brilliant.
We were close enough to Bruges but on a quiet tree lined street. We were able to drive 5 minutes park near the train station for 2 euros a day and then walk into the centre. Excellent local info from Jos & Tabitha the owners, gorgeous breakfasts delivered each morning on a huge tray at a time to suit us. Meats, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, eggs (cooked a different way each day),lovely pastries and fresh bread. Far better than a normal B&B, we loved being private next door. Close to a supermarket & petrol station. Definitely recommend staying here.
Jos and his wife were excellent hosts. Good local information and a wonderful location to start from each day. My next stay in Brugge will be here.
Water pressure in shower a bit low. Not really a problem though.
Very nice and modern guesthouse with all facilities. It's like having a small house by yourselves. The friendly owner came over with an excellent breakfast every morning. Fantastic! We can highly revommend this guesthouse.
Fantastic accommodation proving privacy and independence. Great for relaxing and easy access to Brugge by bus. Sunday Farmers Market The breakfasts were outstanding and will be hard to beat
Nice to have more than just a bedroom and bathroom. Liked the space the cottage provided, especially the little patio outside. Breakfasts were very good too.
Not very easy to find somewhere locally to eat on a Sunday and Monday evening. Didn't want to go into Bruges.
Pillows need to be replaced.
polite and Helpful host and good breakfast .
Near the town, private with wi-fi 24/7, central heating
Bedroom was upstairs, which meant walking downstairs to the bathroom and toilet. Had just two very small pieces of soap and two tiny sachets of shampoo. In the kitchen there was no kitchen roll, very little washing up liquid. No choices for the breakfast. Poor customer service.
