Avalon Hotel  

The location was quite pleasant.

The whole place was filthy our bedroom was literally falling to bits, mould and damp covered the walls, it stank of stale water. I wouldn't of given £15 for the night let alone £70. The staff couldn't speak English so we just put up with it. But I can honestly say it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in regards to cleanliness!

1. The owners were very friendly 2. the breakfast was pretty good 3. Altough it is situated next to the N4 road, the rooms are quiet 4. Good pick if you want to reach Brussels by car

Poor heating

I like the hotel location, its little bit far away from city but very calm and romantic place. All staff of the hotel very friendly and cooperative and owner of the hotel is very good.Breakfast was good and in lunch and dinner too much variety and very tasty.overall my stay very good and if i go again i prefer to stay there again.

Due to far from city late night you must book the taxi or you must have your own car.

Friendly people

I have been booking for some years with booking.com and I have always trusted the quality of there hotels offered indeed, but in the case of Avalon it was really and truly a complit dessappointment and real deception . The place was noisey , dirty , most ugly poor and cheep 3 pices of chees and 3/4 pices of ham in the morning with the pice of butter and tee or caffe they offer you and you must ask for each and every extra you need in case if you wish to have some more bread or so... The place is cold the rooms are ultra small dirty and we had to ask for the 2nd towels since it was just one there ...never again . such a shame there are much better a b&b not fare from the location of Avalon for sure .

Overall a poorly kept hotel in a less than impressive location on a busy/noisy road. Dirty room, minimal breakfast.

The employed staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was adequate and the towels and bedlinen was crisp and clean.

Very shabby rooms - poorly decorated, peeling paint, holes in walls, flimsy furniture. No in-room facilities - kettle, hairdryer etc and none available to borrow. Mean with the coffee at breakfast - only one small cup allowed. Had to change rooms because my first was at the front and the traffic noise was appalling. The second room was smaller, with a smaller bed and no bath yet the owner insisted on charging me the same as for the first room in spite of the fact that the tariffs displayed in the room were lower. Avoid sitting by the windows in the restaurant - they're full of insects. For the condition of the rooms and the facilities available this hotel is very overpriced.

Hotel carino esternamente, posizione comoda e ottimale per raggiungere varie destinazioni.

Il bagno della camera era piccolo, aveva le piastrelle rotte e c'erano delle ragnatele dentro gli armadietti; per non parlare della camera che aveva ragnatele sulle finestre. Abbiamo dormito lì 5 notti e non hanno pulito nulla. Rifacevano solo il letto e cambiavano, per fortuna, gli asciugamani. In poche parole la pulizia lasciava molto a desiderare. Proprio per la scarsa pulizia non lo consiglio. Il mio voto è 3/4.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli, personnes très serviables.

L'image de la télévision pas terrible.

3 personers værelse, passende for os forældre og vores store datter, toilet og bad på værelset fik nye håndklæder hver dag, sengen redt og I løbet af vores 7 overnatninger fik vi flere gange rene lagner. Morgenmaden som var en del af overnatningen bestående af ofte friskt og flere typer brød, ost, kogt skinke, smelteost, forskellige syltetøjer, nutella, honning og mere, dertil kaffe/te samt et glas juice, et morgenmåltid der for os var yderst passende, langt bedre end beskrevet I bookingen - hvor morgenmaden var benævnt som enkel. Hotellets restaurant havde et godt og spændende menukort, med rimelige priser. Var så heldig at opleve den lokale byfest hvor et lille optog startede på hotellet, med udklædte musikere I historiske dragter. Hotellet ligger I den flamsk del, hvilket også betyder at man normalt er ret sprogkyndig, noget som er sjældent I et hotel I den franske del. Trådløst internet ok overalt ikke kun I fællesrum, masser af parkering. Altsa generelt karakter må være at vores ophold har været yderst tilfredsstillende - klart anbefalesværdig.

Småting måske endda ubetydelige ting som sprunget elpære over sengen, en ødelagt skuffe I natbordet, og en afløb I vasken der kun kunne tage vand I mindre mængder af gangen - burde have været ordnet. Kabeltv på værelset med fællesantenne, var placeret på den ene ydervæg, og med en størrelse på ca. 12" var det lidt for lagt væk til at kunne se ordentligt - lidt støj på tv billederne (indstråling), der stammer fra de store TV-sendemaster der er placeret ca. 1 km væk. Nogen støj fra vejen, den gamle landevej imellem Brussel/Luxemburg her var der ret meget trafik - ville nødnig have været der før motorvejen e411 blev hovedfærdselsåren til Luxemburg. Trafikstøj er ret typisk og ofte forekommende I hele Belgien, ikke kun ved storbyerne.

De hotelbaas was vriendelijk en deed goed zijn best.

Kamer was wat stoffig en ontbijt was wat karig.
