- Staff was extremely helpful, even when it wasn't domain they should help me with (i asked for a fork and receptionist ran to some restaurant and brought me few) :) - Hotel is very clean - Modern looking interior - Very quiet, far from the street - Door locks with magnetic card, instead of keys - Good location - Spacious lobby
very comfy bed, clean and very warm room
very loud shower) and wi-fi is very sloooow
The bed and sheets were awful. An uncomfortable bed and the sheets didn't fit it. The room was absolutely tiny. We actually had to turn sideways to get past the bottom of the bed to the window-side of the room. It was ridiculous. It was about half the m2 advertised on Booking.com. Finally, one of the staff members LET THEMSELVES INTO OUR ROOM at about 8:30am while speaking loudly. This was not on our checkout day, and this happened despite the "Do not disturb" sign hung on the door. This was quite a shock as it woke us up and made us feel very uncomfortable.
Breakfast was relatively good.
The hotel was clearly being renovated, and it showed. Holes in counter-tops and walls in the hallways, hammering at 8am (on a Tuesday, but still not cool..), furniture not well assembled.. you got the point. The staff wasn't particularly cheerful, but got their job done. It was quite easy to hear what was going on in the hallway and in nearby rooms.
Location and price.
Design of the room, wi-fi.
Great location near Gare du Midi if you want to visit more cities in Belgium. The breakfast was very good in the nearby cafe outside.
To get to the center you have to pass through some not very fascinating streets. The room was quite noisy during the night, some people were talking loudly outside the room and it seemed like it was inside.
The room was decent and breakfast could be better but sufficient and it is a buffet
The receptionist is very impolite, I like to be treated better when I pay for something
The restaurant next door provides good food and service
The roomwas adequate but tht toilet seat was cracked. The elderly television was unwatchable. Reporting it to reception made no difference as returning later nothing had changed.
Location was great - a short walk to Gare du Midi station and a 10 minute walk to Grande Place. WiFi signal was very strong. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful.
Not enough power points for charging electronic devices. No tissues or paper towels, no fridge in room.
The hotel was in a quiet area and quite central
room was not so clean and with a big bed not much room to move around
Clean, comfortable, very good location, near train station and metro. Good breakfast, nice next door affordable restaurant. Modern Swedish style rooms.
WiFi not always available Staff not very professional but friendly
Clean, comfortable, very good location, near train station and metro. Good breakfast
Rooms at the 5th floor (511) do not have a proper window, but a window at the roof making it impossible to look outside. Problem with WiFi
Great location for those travelling by train. Good value for money, very basic but essentially neat, clean, tidy and an easy walk to the Grand Place, museums, etc. Recommended for a short stay/solo traveller looking to keep costs down.
Very thin walls so be warned if you're a light sleeper. Also renovation seemed incomplete, not a major issue though.
Close to the station, very close to Grand Place, quiet The most obliging guys in reception, there is a bar restaurant a Few door Away they work incojunction with the hotel breakfast was very reasonably priced. 7Euros for a buffet breekie, friendly smiling guys.
The maid kept opening the window, hence after a day out in very cold temperatures one returns to a very cold room.
Quite a distance from the train station and very hard to find. Very sketchy area with unsavoury people. Staff don't speak English and don't offer help. Advertised facilities like safety deposit box, laundry, iron and board, and multilingual staff were not present in the hotel! Half the hotel is closed for renovation so expect 9am wakeups with heavy machinery next door. Very thin walls so get cozy with your neighbours. Doors don't lock properly and people can push them open. Avoid this place!
Good for back packers. Reception staff helpful.
No house keeping, no cleanliness, Not recommended for 3star status. The hotel premises is not good for late check in and be cautious if you are a solo traveller.
Everything is just perfect especially for the price. The place is 5 min to the train station and it is close the centre of the city. The room /double room/ was great, the WC and the bathroom as well. We have a flight really early in the morning and they make as breakfast even in 4 in the morning. I really want to say thanks to the Bulgarian gay who works there because he was really friendly and help us a lot.
Room was nice. Restaurant next door was used for breakfast and was very good.
A little hard to find walking from train station.
Location was excellent. Staff (reception and housekeepers) were also very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
Hotel needs more renovation work. I enjoy the stay but much more needs to be done.
I didn't like anything.. They are renovating and building so at 7 am there's loads of noise.
Impossible to turn down heating Size of the room (single room)
Directions were very confusing!! Took an hour to find hotel which is a 10 min walk from station.
Facilities to upgrade
The position is quite convenient if you need to travel through Midi or if you're up to visiting the Geuze museum.
At the beginning we were given a non-clean room, with stuff from the previous guests around the room and dirty sheets and towels By mistake I went to the basement with the elevator, particularly dirty and with writings on the wall Overall, the impression was of poor cleaning standards, with stains in the shower and in other places in the toilet, hairs on the towels and all around the floor The breakfast staff was particularly rude and the food was also of poor quality with little choice
The location and the breakfast are excelent
The room and the bathroom are simple
