the location I've made the huge mistake to book this B&B without reading the reviews. Lesson learned, never ever doing that again! So it goes like this. I've booked a superior double bedroom at the price of a 4 star hotel, getting fooled by the nice pictures, the nice description of the rooms and the fancy word 'superior'. Well it turns out that 'superior' means staying in the attic of an old building (my grandma's attic looks better than this one), no lift - so you have free fitness included woohoo, no proper security – you can knock out that door with a simple touch of a finger, no reception – why would you need one?, no breakfast – aren’t you on diet?, no WiFi – why to pay for a proper WiFi when you can steal one from the coffee shop next door?, no working fridge, no kettle, no tea or coffee, no cleaning, no sanitary and hygiene accessories, and on top of this everything is dirty and full of dust – still wonder what’s up with the name ‘ beauty and wellness’ this must be a bad joke. At least there is a working TV, however no remote control. If this is not enough you won’t be surprised to hear that the tiny toilet is one floor below, not heated at all – but no worries, more free fitness. But the cherry on the top is the bathtub, a nice and big one with only one small problem, its location. So the bathtub is located in the middle of your room, oh privacy? – what is that? Apart from the location of this B&B which is very convenient, exactly in city center, you cannot call this place a B&B, so watch out what you are paying for. For the same amount of money you can go to a decent hotel.

The staff phoned me to confirm that I would check in. The description of Azur as B&B hotel is deceitful: 1. NO LIFT. NO WHEEL-CHAIR RAILS. NO PORTER. 2. NO SECURITY. 3. NO BILL for your PAYMENT. 4. NO SAFETY. 5. NO BREAKFAST. 6. NO working FRIDGE. NO KETTLE or coffee maker. 7. NO CLEANING. 8. NO Sanitary & HYGIENE accessories. 9. TINY, COLD WC UPSTAIRS. 10. HALF-STUFFED PLUMBING. 11. NO REPAIRS. 12. NO WiFi for the 1st half of your stay. 13. NOISY. 14. NO HELP. Now, details: 1. Elderly or physically impaired visitors are unwelcome. Nobody helps you with suitcases. Very steep, narrow, traumatic staircases. 2. NO one at the RECEPTION desk except for 5 min. when they grab your money and disappear. The front door is always locked, while the back door for guests is almost never locked, so you never know who can enter. 3. I emailed asking for the bill repeatedly, but I had to finally “check out” with no record of my €325 payment. 4. Anyone can BREAK INTO your room and then leave it unlocked. It is a beauty salon (not a hotel), so anyone can use the sun bed placed in your “private” shower-room and use your “private” shower (and towels?), opening the doors with their key. I once returned and found my room open. Luckily, I always kept all my valuables on me. 5. By definition, B&B means breakfast should be included. They write “Meal plan: Breakfast costs €15 per person per night”, but the staff explains that you can buy it “every where”, i.e. at nearby restaurants having no relation to Azur. So this B&B owes me €150 (2 persons, 5 nights). 6. The bull-head-sized egg-shaped plastic device labelled “Electric COOLER and HEATER” is OUT OF ORDER. 7. The TABLEWARE and glasses are DIRTY, bedclothes suspicious, BEDCOVER and fur rag DUSTY and SMELLY. 8. We e-mailed to the manager asking for SOAP, but there was NO reaction. The toilet paper finished in the midst of our stay, with no more supply. 9.

Central location This is not a hotel! There are 3 apartments for rent above the beauty salon which is loacted on the ground floor. The rooms are quite tired, some renovations is required. It is also very noisy during the night since the windows are facing the high street with the trams. Definitely some ear plugs will be needed. * Lack of soap * Leak in bathroom ceiling * Clog in the bathroom * Toilet is one flight of stairs away from the 1st room (!)

The place was quality. It cannot be be deemed a hotel/B&B. More like your own private apartment. The rooms were massive, the place was in the centre of the city, the man came with the key, we paid him and never saw anyone again.

Position, very close to the center of the city This is not hotel and I really can not understand that very bad room above the beauty salon inside the privet house can be classified as hotel. I made a big mistake that I didn't read the reviews before I book this "hotel", so it is true that every school need to be paid. It is hard to mention all items which made our night " unforgettable" 1. heating was not working when we come in room before sleeping, outside temperature was -4, after my intervention heating been started so until we get some normal temperature in room was already morning, (we been wake up with the red nose) 2. Toilette (size 1.5x1.0 meter) not in room, one floor below not heated at all, you really get wake up after the toilette session. 3. Bed was partly broken, placed against the some kind of fire place so you have hole behind where your pillow fall down so most of night you looking for your pillow which are by the way all different some strange size. 4. Only one set of towels for two person. 5. Shower sink partly plugged, " swimming pool " remain after your showering. 6. Dark curtains broken 7. Very noisy, you can hear every step which owner made in the room which is just above yours I can continue like this, but in one word MADNESS DON'T GO IN THIS ROOM, YOU WILL BE SORRY

At first glance the room looks very beautiful and comfortable. There is a huge double bed, a cupboard with mirror doors, and even something that looks like a fireplace with a carpet in front of it. But the Devil is in the details. Later you notice that the curtain rod is broken, that there is only one pillow of normal size (the others are too small) and one set of towels though the room is for two guests. There is no soap and no toilet paper. The temperature inside the fridge is higher than outside. (I found a package of rotten mayonnaise in the fridge) NO WI-FI though it is promised. But all this is nothing compared to the main trouble. When you come to the place you find a SPA salon there. A closed SPA salon. The small note on the door says that you have to call the indicated number if you booked the room. I did so but nobody answered so I left a message to the voice mail. In a few minutes I received an SMS in a language I could not even identify. The waitress from the neighbor café translated the message for me. It said that I had to go round the corner to the next street, enter through the door and go upstairs where I would find the room with the key in the keyhole. Well... everything seemed to be all right. But there was no staff in this hotel. Nobody came to check my reservation and receive pay. Nobody answered calls so I had to leave without paying for the room. Now I'm calling and sending him letters trying to come to an agreement about the way of paying but I haven't received any answer yet. It is a real bother! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

This Hotel was very central to Ghent town and had a great little cafe next door.We had a Large room and a comfy bed. In order to check in to our room we had to call a mobile number placed on a store window....unfortunatly we got no answer for several hours after several attempts and leaving a voicemail. We then went bac kto the store to see if had now opened the check in time was 3pm, we arrived a little earlier at 2.42pm and were told our room wasn't ready and to come back at least 10 minutes later than check in time offered. The room was comfortable and had a bath however there were no toiletries in the superior double room. There was a kettle but no tea/sugar/milk. There was a fridge, it was switched on however it was warm inside and had 3 old butter wrappers which smelt really foul. Check out was 12pm, unfortunatly there was no one in the building to take the keys from us so we just had to leave the keys in our room with the door open and let ourselves out of the back room. This hotel was for 90 Euros however I do think i would have received better value in a hostel.

The room was very comfortable, with fridge, coffe maker, etc. It was clean and had a nice decoration that made it cozy. The bathroom was ouside the room, in a different floor, and it was very, very small. It didn't have a lift, but that wasn't a problem becasue we stayed on the 1st floor.

The only positive point of this Bed&Breakfast is the location. This Bed&Breakfast is far too expensive for what it is. It's worth not more than 35 euros/night for a room. The description of the room (including pictures) are really misleading. The bathroom was shabby. Neither care nor decoration at all!! Old pipes hidden by irrelevant furnitures, light with 1 out of 3 bulbs working, tired shower tube...Hopefully we didn't order any breakfast: appetite does not really come with...spoiled butter left in the fridge ! It's close to daylight robbery! I do strongly recommend you not to book a room there!!!

Warme Dusche.
